I need help with my Poco f3. Ever since I updated my OS to Miui 13, my phone keeps rebooting every time I open any applications. Sometimes I can open them, but the phone still reboots randomly. I tried everything, did factory resets, and wiped out all the data, thinking it would solve the problem, but it did not. I also tried to downgrade to Miui 12.5, but I can't do so because I cannot unlock my phone. It says it needs 168 hours before unlock. My phone is very unusable right now, and I don't know what else to do but wait 168 hours/7 days to unlock my phone and install a new ROM. Is there any other way I can do to resolve this issue?
I have the exact same problem, I tried several solutions on the internet but nothing worked.
Every night my phone starts restarting nonstop. I'm waiting until Monday to finally unlock my bootloader, install an AOSP and never hear from MIUI again.

Take it to service if it's unusable... If you're from a third world country there's a good chance they will downgrade the phone on the spot , if no you'll probably have couple days of downtime without phone
Other than that yeah nothing - except if you can find newer version you should be able to flash it from the miui updater. I'd personally do a factory reset first - then update via method below and after upgrade factory reset again! If that doesn't fix it idk, you'll have to determine whether flashing full ROM once BL is unlocked fixes it or if you should go and have the motherboard replaced...
You have to first enable "developer options" of the miui updater app , download the update firmware that's higher version than what you're on and then you can select the firmware in the app
Update: Fixed this by switching to ArrowOs, it seems that miui really is the problem haha
I believe it doesn't have anything to do with schedule turn on turn off? On miui you could schedule the phone to turn off at anytime and turn on anytime according to the settings...

Hi,
My OnePlus 3 keeps freezing or crashing, I don't really know; when I get to school and try to unlock the phone the screen won't come on, it just stays black, then I have to hold the power button to force a reboot. It happens really often, I thought it was because of my school's wifi but that's not it because it also does it when at home or after making a call. Sometimes it also randomly soft reboots. I honestly don't know what is happening, I'm running the latest OxygenOS Nougat.
Think about sending it in, sounds weird.

Did you update it via OTA? If so, try a clean install of the full ROM.

Just the stock ROM, no custom kernels whatsoever
I think it has something to do with 4g switching to wifi. I switched the wifi off before I got to school and there was no freeze. Don't know how to fix it though, still unsure over the random reboots.

Same here, I can,t even configure the phone. Almost instant crash. I used flash method for bricked devices and nothing changed.
Hello. Have you guys found any solutions for this? I am on the latest Oreo Update (full stock) and this happens to me too. It also happened in the latest stable version of Nougat.
Same here! Full stock...
Recently I rooted it so I could read the logs, the key error was:
11-18 11:21:47.581 1176 1176 E AndroidRuntime: at android.view.WindowManagerGlobal.getWindowManagerService(WindowManagerGlobal.java:170)
I contacted support, but for now they just flashed a new 4.5.0 version on it. Problem still exists, so I contacted them again.
Exactly the same problem here (OP3), i tried with 4 or 5 combinations or Rom, Kernels. I completely back to stock + lock bootloader, the problem still persist . The support accepted to launch a repair process last week. They completed the process. It should returned to me today, i have no information about any problem they found on the phone...
I will tell you if they resolved the problem.

Hi Mate,
do you have an update from them? My phone hangs and goes black screen. Normal power on does not work most of the times. I had to use power + volume up to get the fast boot loader menu. This is really annoying.
Turn off wifi
Turning off WiFi, as suggested previously, seems to resolve the issue, i've exactly the same problem as above, flashing ROMS or Kernels did not solve the issue. It was strange for me as it all began once i upgraded my OxygenOS 4.5.1 with Nougat base to the new 5.0 with Android Oreo. Since then i started reporting system freezes anytime i turn off the screen or it goes to sleep. downgrading did not solve the problem of course. Could it be a hardware related problem??? Strange...
Cheers
Hello! I am going to describe my issue with 2 years old nexus 5x which is restarting randomly.
It all started a couple of days ago when my phone started to ask me to enter PIN code. That happened randomly. After entering the code my phone worked completely ok.
But yesterday it started restarting on its own. The restart happened once, than I suddenly got a message before loading screen saying: "Your device is corrupt. It can not be trusted and may not work properly".
Today my Nexus restarted around 10 times. These restarts do not depand on phone usage, since it is restarting randomly (when charging, when not charging, when using it, when screen is off).
I decided to clear cache partition factory reset it and update apps. Unfortunately that did not help, since my phone is restarting even more frequently. Normally it freezes for 5 seconds and than restarts. Sometimes I still get the message: "Your device is corrupt...", but not always.
My Nexus has not been modified (it is not rooted and it is running android 8.1 with november security patch). Also apps have been installed only from play store and not from unknown sources.
I would really need your help. Has anybody experienced any similar issues or does anybody know what could cause the restarting?
Thank you in advance.
@tic_tac7: probably it's a conveniant variant of BLOD. So save everything important on another storage immediately.
This message comes from bootloader. Because the reboots happen also during standby, it's imo useless to flash a kernel which lets the big core sleep, but that's a misty guess. Nevertheless you could try the latest ABC-Oreo (needs TWRP by ADB) without anything more for testing. If reboots are going on > bin.

If you are original owner of phone for up to 30 months, go here and let LG fix (or attempt to) the phone. Mine required two repairs. If you are not in the US, check with LG support in your country.
Good evening companions, I have a question that is more out of curiosity since it is not a problem of malfunction.
The point is that when I turn on the phone it starts perfectly until the lock screen is shown, there I put the pattern and it already opens the desk. So far so good, but after about 10 seconds the device returns to the lock screen even if I am using it and I have to unlock it again even if I already have the fingerprint reader. It is normal to block again even if you do not want to ??, someone else happens, can be solved ???
My model is the G9600 (snapdragon).
Thanks for any comments, regards!

Thank you very much for your response, I commented that I have verified that it does so until the rom is installed by odin, that is, without having configured any security. This Sunday I was testing and I put several times trying some options in odin but nothing changed. I also just tried deactivating the pattern and the footprint, restarting and reapplying the locks to make sure, it's the same.
Outside of that I have no complaints, everything is excellent :good:
Today I installed the rom with a June patch and the problem does not (I remembered that there was an update that I thought would be solved), but when updating by September to September, the problem has returned.
Tonight I will try to install the June one again and take it by odin to September but without updating modem or csc .... play a little haha
Well ... the problem is solved or hidden I don't know. I have installed "Bl" by odin but the one in June and the rest of the patch has been in September, I had never done this but it works there without the restart.
What I don't know is what problems this graft can cause even when it can continue like this. I suppose that when I leave rom with bootloader 6 it won't work for me anymore ... or if it will allow me to skip the "bl" when installing by odin .....
Now with the October update I could no longer maintain the bootloader because it has gone to binary 6 and does not allow installing the new rom with the old bootloader. Unfortunately again the problem returned ..... nobody knows how to solve it ???
works fine during setup then vanishes and the wifi button doesn't do anything afterwards. is it hardware or software related?
weird thing i noticed is that any wifi related setting, will make the settings crash and not respond...

Sounds like a major issue , after watching the video, 2 things I would try remove sim reboot then try, of still fails the ROM must be corrupt , I would reinstall/flash sounds like you tried a factory reset so thats what I would do
thank you for your response. I did remove the sim and factory reset but no change. Can I reeinstall without having the phone unlocked? or is that only possible with an unlocked phone and the fastboot thing?
edit: found out how to local update rom, going to that and see how it goes.

I installed MIUI 13.0.3 with this method https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=1 but the same problem with the WIFI persist. If it was an software issue it should have fixed it right? so I'm thinking that it might be a hardware issue instead.

Hello everybody.
I have an issue with the Poco F3 regarding signal and networking.
After the last update to MIUI 12.5 and later MIUI 13, my phone was having issues making and receiving calls and also using mobile data.
Before those updates, I had no issues whatsoever.
I unlocked my bootloader and decided to try a custom rom, thinking it will solve this issue but nothing has changed.
I have "no service" in areas were many other phones (xiaomi and cheap ones at that etc) have at least 4g. Other times, while I do have service, I can't make or receive calls and even if I can, it's dropping after the first minute or so. Trying to use mobile data is a mess too, working rarely and most of the times I get that exclamation mark and cannot access the internet. It's starting to cause issues at work.
Note, that I use the phone with dual sims from different carriers and the issue is the same. I tried using only a single SIM thinking it might have something to do with dual sims but nothing.
I tried everything, from factory reset, to reseting network settings, airplane mode for 30seconds, custom roms, custom apns etc etc.
The sims work as they should on a poco m3 that I also own, but on the F3 the issue remains.
Now, the issue is much work with android 12, both with MIUI and custom rom (using PixelOS at the moment).
Do you think it is a hardware issue? Should I try an android 11 custom rom and see if the issue is fixed? Is there anything else I should try?
It's driving me crazy and since it's causing work related issues I am thinking of just getting a new phone at this point.
Thanks in advance.

Rollback miui first to any android 11 version, see if the issue remains.
Then if you want you can flash custom roms and such... Your firmware got updated to android 12 when you upgraded miui , installing custom ROM won't downgrade it that's why you want to rollback miui
Thank you for your reply.
I need some time to do this proccess since I am practically 24/7 on call, but I will surely give it a shot when I get the chance.
Just a question though. Is it something common with this phone? A quick google search shows it happens with android 12 on the oneplus phones, but I got nothing for the poco f3.
Some time ago, with a similar issue, all I had to do was flash a kernel and it got fixed. Do you think there is a chance it is kernel related?

No idea... I don't think kernel houses firmware components tho , they live in their own separate partition
You can use DSU Sideloader. This allows you to boot into Android 11 and check Cell-connectivity & Wi-Fi, without touching your Main OS.
Basically, you download the Android 11 GSI, extract the "system.img", set up the app (either through Root or ADB), select "system.img" and Install.
That app utilizes Android's DSU feature, but lets you install any GSI you feed it.
Android has a built-in 'DSU Loader' in Developer Options, but it only lets you install the Android 12 and Android 13 Beta GSI, not older ones like Android 11. ^^
Note: GSI's don't work on Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM. May also not work on other Custom ROMs. ^^

That's a cool feature and thank you so much for the reply.
However, when trying it, I get stuck on the Poco logo and then straight to recovery. So I guess it doesn't work on the rom I am using.
Rebooting back to system from TWRP works as it should, so there are no further issues.
Tried the two official images from google, and the result is exactly the same.

Hm, I don't know.
You just need an unlocked bootloader (in most cases apparently).
When it didn't work for me, it was solely because of the Custom ROM Xiaomi.eu. Doesn't work at all there.
You're on Stock MIUI, I think, and it should work there normally. For me it does.

That's all true I guess.
But as I stated, I am on the PixelOS custom rom at the moment.
Just to see if the issue was MIUI specific, turning out it isn't.

No, not at all unfortunately. Tried everything, even downgrading and switching around custom roms.
I figure it's a hardware issue and have since swapped my sim to my older Mi 9 Lite and use that device only for calls and data hotspot.
If, however, you have some solution to propose I will gladly give it a shot!
Hi, I also got myself the Poco F3 in June 2022.
Some days ago (~end of September) it started having little to no signal in places that I usually had good signal coverage.
I use 2 SIMs. I tried any combination of SIM as well as single SIMs.
Signal is bad and even if the indicator shows signal with severals bars, calls are not going out nor can I receive calls.
MIUI is
I thought of resetting the phone but after reading this thread I prefer to return the phone as long as it is still stock rather than wasting my time.
There are several posts about this issue on Amazon as well.
Same thing happening to me. This is a good smartphone but sadly, it wasn't just me that is having the same issue.
Same here. Simcard works fine in my Mi 8 and iPhone 7. Went back from LineageOS to MIUI, but MIUI tells me the Simcard "can't be activated" and doesnt get signal at all. With my Mi 8 i have 4G coverage.
I do have the exact same problem.
Tried different roms A11+A12, MIUI+Custom, even opened it up to check if the antenna cable was loose.
Has anybody fixed that problem?
did you manage to fix it? I had the same problem in pixelOs and now I want to install pixel experience but it worries me
