Only Time will tell but I presume so.I remember it was about a month before the first roms were released on whyred and you can always boot a GSI until them.

It takes time bro. It's a brand new device let peoples buy it and also xioami is making a mess with new delayed bootloader unlocking policy so many peoples are still waiting to unlock it. Let the device sources come and hope we will see some development, and as it is rom and kernel development section so please move this thread to Questions and answer section or General section. I just flashed a ROM called 'Lineage 16' from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-3s/development/rom-lineageos-16-0-land-t3830441, but I am not sure this is the correct ROM as the latest version I have found for Redmi 3s prime in the lineage page https://download.lineageos.org/land is 15. Could you please confirm it's ok for my phone?
Moreover, in about phone I see that my Android is 9, while to the best of my knowledge my phone can get up to 6.
Finally, can I root it by flashing magisk (I can see a root option in the phone menu) and how can get I google apps?
Any help, please?

That's the magic of custom ROM. 9 in stead of 6. All the info you need should be in the sources you linked. I recommend to start with official lineageOS.org
Lineage 15 can be rooted with flashing addonsu from download extras. 16 only with magisk.

I am very happy with LineageOs 16 in my klte (samsung s5) device so far. Zero problems for me.
I have just bought a Xiaomi Redmi 7a , and I am willing to give it a go.
I couldn't find Redmi 7a on LineageOs downloads. I presume it is not supported yet. Anyway I am willing to try most compatible image on it.
My question is:
Which image should I install? (violet ?)
What do you think major problems would be, since I will install another phone's image?

Hi there and please forgive my english.
unfortunatly it is not that easy.. the best thing you can do is to unlock bootloader first using xiaomi miflashunlock, afterward you can head to this thread and, if you are able to follow all the instructions (and sadly i ve been not :crying you'll be on an unofficial lineage os rom.

Hi, i installed lineage os 17 on mi redmi 7a, but it have many issues.
The wifi doesnt work (i touch the button to activate it and it turns off inmediately
i cant install gapps (pico) because TWRP says that doesnt have any space on system partition
anybody can help me?

I have just purchased a variant of the Redmi Note 8, called Redmi Note 8T, which is basically the same device but with the long awaited NFC! This variant just launched in Europe.
In theory should be same device as the RN8 with added NFC (the SoC and other specs are indeed the same) so I wanted to share some info:
- MIUI 10.3.1, Android 9
- Model Name M1908C3XG, the same as shared by a leak on some websites
- The codename of the device is willow, the ROM has in its fingerprint willow_eea which confirms I have an EU version., but the Redmi Note 8 codename is ginkgo.
I have already applied for bootloader unlock (need to wait for a week) so soon I will be able try some things if somebody asks.
I hope modding will start soon

Does yours have a notification LED? Cause i dont have any working on mine, and It seemed to me that the "normal" Redmi Note 8 has It.
So i wanna ask if is mine broken or if it is a downgrade from Redmi.

"HWinfo" app under Touchscreen says "NTV-ts", does it make sense?

Nope, it's located in :
Settings>about phone> press kernel version 5 times>software version>> its mentioned under lcm information.

Fun fact:
In Camera information, codenames start with ginko. We knew cameras were the same, but that's something more.
Hopefully with just minor modifications, 8 development will work on 8T. I've got 14 days still to wait to unlock though.

Why hasn't been an official TWRP developed for Redmi Note 9 Pro...vs. older and new ones have.. any idea?
I guess it's the same situation as with Lineage for certain devices - there is nobody willing to maintain the software's port to a specific device.
