Greetings
anyone got Google call screening to work? I can activate it however the other end doesnt hear a thing google says, according to FAQ its because of possible wrong hal or driver and he added some xml stuff I could try to change. However I get access denied even if I use FX Explorer as root and remound rw.
Anyone has a idea or ROM where call screening works? 7
THANKS!

Is anyone working on All Call Recorder for wp7?
This software is exremely important for me and was wondering if someone could develop this software before launch so it can be ready for download on the day of launch
regards and very much appreciate all your work.
I don't think that's possible given how apps run in WP7 (sandbox restrictions, no background operation).

As amb9800 says, this isn't possible. When a phone call comes in, your running app(s) are tombstoned and aren't running. Therefore, don't have access to the microphone.

But the phone call can run in the background then you could start your recorder and it could be running in the forground you just wont see the person you are talking to or have access to other features of the call i.e. text messages, email, etc...
according to this a call filter/sms blocker is impossible for the moment with wp7 ?

Still won't work... your app will still be tombstoned when the call comes through, even if you re-start it, you won't have access to the MIC.

my post says to open your app after you answer the call thus will not be tombstoned and yes you do have access to the mic. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.xna.framework.audio.microphone(XNAGameStudio.40).aspx
Seriously has anyone come up with a program yet ???

I think its not complete true. I use Samsung Focus and I can switch on camera while answering a call and if I switch on speaker too then I can record both side conversation. I believe that its matter of time if someone figure out and develop a application for call recording......

The camera isn't a typical app
Sorry
This is definitely not possible. You can definitely run your app during a call (no tombstone concern), but WP takes over the mic for a phone call. Your app will run, but you'll get perfect silence recorded. This is by design. It would be great if they change it at some point. Obviously the user should have to OK something, but the concern is about the other party since some US states (not sure of other countries) require that both parties are notified of a recording in progress.

Hi,
I have an evo with DeckRom on it (gingerbread). I'm trying to get skype to be my default dialer, or even better to have it prompt me for what I'd like to use as a dialer (phone or skype).
I can't for the life of me figure this out. Phone doesn't show up under settings-applications-manage-all. I've cleared defaults from gocontacts.
I've tried uninstalling skype, then rebooting the phone and redownloading the app.
Still nothing.
Other thing I might like is the ability to choose google voice to make outgoing calls if that is available.
Thanks in advance.
Bump for this. I'm having the exact same issue on my thunderbolt running stock/rooted debloat. Any help would be great as I'm retiring the thunderbolt and basically turning it intoca glorified pda/voip phone.
Google voice can be set as a default dialer/SMS/voicemail app but Skype I don't believe will set as a default however on decks gb rom in settings under calls you can set up a SIP account for voip calling with no added apps it will use the default dialer to call over ip
When I first installed skype, android gave me the option to choose how to complete the call. I no longer receive that option.

My goal is to either:
1. have the option of using skype, google voice or T mobile when initiating a call from my contacts list
or
2. be able to access and successfully choose a contact from my list when I'm on skype
At some point (I don't know why) my phone stopped giving the choice of using Skype, google voice or TMobile for an outgoing call. I would love to get that back since Skype doesn't allow me to use my phone contact list to make calls. Any ideas on how to achieve my goal?
Please tell me how to have a notification on my email when someone responds to my question.
Thanks

You're in the evo4g forum no one here has tmo as the evo is a cdma phone not gsm
Same problem here since upgrading to latest Android. Did you find a solution yet?
bzzz
Did you manage to find the solution to this?
I was watching the original introduction of the samsung galaxy nexus video earlier and i seen where the nexus has the option to access google visual voicemail right from the missed call log. Basically if you have google voice set up and someone calls then leaves a voicemail... that voicemail is playable directly from the call log. Anyone knows how to set that up?

I believe it requires use of a new API in ICS, which the current google voice does not make use of. Someone correct me, if I'm wrong.
I would certainly love to see this working on mine.
found a really useful post regarding this through googling it. not sure if its true but it does sound viable

Before my phone upgraded to Pie, I had a call blocker that worked perfect on Oreo. If you weren't in my contacts you were sent to voicemail and I didn't know you called. After the upgrade, I started getting phone calls from unknown numbers, so I figured the app wasn't compatible. I installed multiple other call blocking apps, but none of them kept my phone from ringing from numbers that they were supposed to block. I even tried the Do Not Disturb trick, but the calls came through on DND also.
Is anyone else having this problem, or has there been a suggestion of what to do? I'm asking before I get frustrated enough to root the phone and flash back to an Oreo ROM.
LG G7 (Verizon), Verizon Prepaid (LM-G710VM)
What app were you using? My phone hasn't upgraded yet and have been looking for anything that works.
Call blocker by vlad has pie compatibility. Or just download google phone dialer and use the integrated blocker.

I was using an app called Safest Call Blocker by Warez and it worked flawlessly. I never got a call outside of my contacts. It's no longer on the playstore, but I found the apk. I still have it, but it doesn't work in Pie. The closest app that I think will work the way Safest Call Blocker worked is Call Blocker by AndroidRock, but it doesn't work on Pie either. You could try finding the apk for Safest Call Blocker.

I tried both apps from vlad lee (Call Blocker, Calls Blacklist), Call Blocker from AndroidRock, Call Control, Hiya, and TrueCaller. Maybe a couple more. Someone on another forum told me to try Youmail, but I explained to him that Youmail doesn't like Prepaid plans, and I don't feel like subscribing to something.
I looked at Call Blocker by vlad after reading your post and it's a little different than the last time I used it. I'll give it another try. Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm on Sprint and get a force close everytime I try to use google phone dialer Downloaded Call Blocker, so far so good. :good:
When I first got the phone I did the fastboot unlock bootloader and flashed a magisked boot img. My "about" says I'm Oxygen OS 11.2.LE15AA.
I installed an OOS dialer APK and enabled call recording.
I found my call recordings to be in:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.oneplus.communication.data/files/Record/PhoneRecord
For some reason after about a week I got a message that call recording was not allowed with the Verizon USA SIM I was using, and my call recording stopped working for a week or two, but yesterday I got the same message about call recording not being allowed and now it is working again. Anyone know what the deal is?
Side question: I'm used to using SMBSync2 to back things up off of my phone to my SMB, but SMBSync can't see this folder (my call recordings) and doesn't ask for root. Anyone know how I can manually push the APK to use SU when it browses?
Sorry I don't have an answer for your questions, but could you please point me to which APK you used specifically?
