So I bought a GT-I9192 Duo while visiting China (I made sure it was as legitimate as possible) but now that I'm back in my home country, I'm running into a ton of issues.
I've flashed the generic MRT firmware using ODIN and run a factory wipe to get it as clean as possible but the following issues show up:
Can't make phone calls. It says "Dialing" and then terminates shortly afterwards without actually calling
Has a difficult time keeping a data connection (3G drops out frequently)
Has the SMSC set to +7 and I can't seem to change it to my operator's SMSC
Pretty much everything that has to do with the mobile network is buggered and I'm not sure why. Any ideas?
Check the CSC. That determines what region the phone is operating in if I'm not wrong.
Hello!
My HTC Desire HD have recently a problem when trying to connect to a network provider. My service provider is Mobistar in Belgium.
When I attempt to connect to a network manually, I get “Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network”.
I tryed the same SIM in another phone, it works fine.
I have already tried: changing the wireless band, fly mode on and off, factory reset, *#*#4636#*#*, removing battery. Two days ago i rooted the HTC (custom rom, new radio) but it is still the same...
Now here comes the odd part. If i remove my sim, put it in a different phone and switch that phone on, then remove again and put it back into my HTC, it works normally for a few hours.
Yesterday, i inserted a simcard from another country and it works perfectly. So if it is in roaming, it works...
HTC Desire HD
Android 2.3.5 - Android Revolution HD 7.3
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-RCMIX3D-V12-CRD-gec898d5-dirty
Radio:12.65.60.29U_26.14.04.28_M
I don't know what is the problem, if anyone can help me, i appreciate
Thank you very much!
Does that provider use another network? Maybe need to turn on roaming (or change roaming settings).
Just a guess tho, goodluck with it.

Thank you for your answer.
I searched and i didn't find anything that says that my provider uses another network. (and i didn't find the roaming settings, just the roaming data on/off, maybe that is automatic)
My girlfriend have also the same phone (HTC Desire HD) and also the same provider, and she doesn't have any problems.
I don't understand why if i change my simcard to another phone and then put it back to my phone it works for some hours, till it says limited service...Then i can't do anything less then put it again in another phone if i want to use it again. Or use the simcard from my land (Portugal) in this phone.
The phone is from Belgium, unlocked, the simcard is from Mobistar. My portuguese simcard is from Vodafone Portugal and it connects to Proximus in roaming (another provider from Belgium).
Thank you very much. I hope to find a solution

Ok, well the best of luck with it.
But this is as far as my suggestions go, sorry.
Maybe the provider did something to it, else i don't know.
Goodluck!

Ok, thank you very much for your help. I will try to contact my provider.
Hello all,
With this new tmobil global data plan that rolled out, it is really not good in south Texas area. Live on the border and work in Mexico. Cannot get the data from the mexican providers. Called tmobil and said sorry, its you area.
What I am looking to see is:
1. Is there a way to get the mobile network default setup to stick in manual after a re-boot. It always defaults to automatic. I need it on manual because I can still get tmobil in Mexico. It goes in and out but I get it. Otherwise it changes over to moviestar and I will get charged for messaging. Since I have no data connection, I cant use 3rd party apps.
2. Remove or supress the searching for networks popups asking to search for available networks.
If someone can come up with a way to do these, i think it would benefit more people than just me.
Thanks for reading!!

Hi,
My GT-I9195 sourced from Europe as an airline rewards item. Fortunately, was travelling to UK and took advantage of advice from documentation and confirmed with Samsung in UK that as long as phone used in Europe for 5 mins of calls, it would accept new SIM from provider in Australia without problem ie it would have unlocked itself from Europe zone. (on return to Australia, phone still receiving messages from Vodaphone in UK with original 1 month only expired SIM.) Before getting and installing new SIM, I set a PIN, didn't use phone for a month and committed worst sin of forgetting PIN. So I have two options I think.
1) Do factory reset and then cope with region reset since I am assuming phone will revert to Europe only. Not worried about losing data.
2) Clear PIN using one of methods available on XDA such as http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397797 but this will work with debug mode only. In order to set debug mode need access to settings which is not possible with phone PIN locked. So catch 22.
Would appreciate any advice with this. Would value simplest solution since although I am PC competent, phones are a whole new area for me. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, first sorry for my bad English, I'm from Algeria (north Africa) and I bought a used Tmobile S6 edge plus (sm-g928T), the phone worked fine but it had some overheating issues and was stucked on android 6 with no available updates so I decided to flash it to the stock firmware and I did it successfully using samfirm and Odin, now overheating issues have gone and the phone is up to date but I'm having serious problems using my local sim card, calls work only with the phone set up on "2g only", when it is set up on "automatic" and I make a call I can hear the person but he can't hear me and there's "almost" no internet connection as it's very slow and unstable although the phone has all 3g/4g bands used in my country. Please help
