Question Is youtubevanced.com save? - OnePlus 9 Pro

i accendently installed the Manager from youtubevanced.com with root access. Now i am afraid that this app contain mailware.

Then uninstall it lol

Once the app has root access, it can modify any files or partitions.

If you're gonna download older Android apps then try to get them from https://www.apkmirror.com/
I wouldn't trust any other site, you should probably wipe and re-install

Haha wow you're all way off. It should be vancedapp.com which is the original site with original files made by the original developer.

File in internal storage? Maybe. But since android 10 system and other partitions are read only. No way to modify them unless you installed proper mod in recovery.

Gaaps MIUI
will this version of Gaaps work with MIUI ROM ?
Work on all CM7 androids?
AW: [TUTORIAL] Install Gaaps for Cyanogenmod7, Market and Google apps.
Some ROMs have their own recommended GApps so check first in your ROMs thread. If not, you can just browse goo.im for the latest GApps. Make sure, it's the right package for your Android version. Jb = jellybean, gb = gingerbread. For the flashing you can follow the guide above.

Thank you.
I will be an ungrateful dude if I do not thank you for this download. I was on Jelly bean on Lg P500 but had to downgrade to Gingerbread because I was not enjoying it much. But when I did, google apps was missing, and you provided a solution.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

I have the same problem and yes, using a file explorer there is no Play store at system/app.
Is it possible that there is no Play store or Market until I setup a google account on the device (because at the moment I'm right after factory reset, so there is nothing on the phone)?

I downloaded the proper gapps, boot into recovery, wipe cache, wipe data / factory reset, install gapps, reboot. Then now it's working. I don't know what happened previously after the first factory reset (it was from the menu, not from recovery).
:/
I've been trying that for a while now, and I still can't use Google Play Store.

Google play

I lost Google play on my one v and upon checking the system apps i no longer see the odex phonesky.odex file. Can I just download any rom and grab the odex file from that rom to make it work? what permission do i set it?
any other way to fix this?
thanks
btw can anyone upload the odex file i cant seem to find any downloadable one
Are you rooted?
What rom are you running?

Just install the apk as normal app - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933277
restoring an odex will not help as the play store most probably updated itself to newer version when you use it.

Thanks. I was struggling with all the apk that I downloaded and wont work with the normal package installer. What I did was copy and paste using root explorer, set proper permission then integrate it to rom using titanium backup and rebooted and i worked.

I have a rooted phone. I have SuperSU. Do I really need Superuser and BusyBox?

Hi, I have a SONY XPERIA S rooted, and I have SuperSU after root. Now do I really need other apps like Superuser or BusyBox? Or Superuser it's the same thing as SuperSU.
Can i use the phone just with SuperSU or those apps : Superuser and BusyBox are a must ?

You don't have to install Superuser because you already have SuperSu. Busybox is very useful and many apps depend on busybox so it is much better to have busybox installed. But usually, most rooting tool kits [like DoomLorD's] even install busybox if my memory serves me. So if you would like to know if you already have busybox installed, just check my signature for my app on Playstore

Yes I have rooted with this : SuperSU-1.25-Busybox-1.20.2-UPDATE but only SuperSU appeared on my phone, as an app. Doesn't BusyBox should appear as an app to ?

Oh that's great. Then you should have busybox installed too. Busybox is not an app and hence you won't find it in the app drawer. It is an all in one executable file which contains a variety of commands [linux commands] like cp, mkdir, touch etc. It is located in system/xbin or system/bin.

Use "Root Checker Pro.apk" to check superuse & busybox is correctly installed.
Download the pro version of root checker or buy , your wish.
Busybox is required for some mods to work.
I use Xperia Ion, i need busybox for clockworkmod to work properly.
For u it might help in some other mods.
Thanks. Helped me a lot.

And another thing. What other apps are a must for a rooted phone? Like : Greenify, RomManager [Not working for me, reboots my phone when I try to make a backup ROM ] , DroidWall, Nandroid Manager,Better Terminal or any kind of terminal ? Are this useful or I may look for other apps ?
I don't have any of that. Lol

Well Titanium Backup is a must for all rooted android phones. A good file manager which can modify system files (like Root Browser by Jrummy) is also a must have app. There are many other useful utility apps which utilize superuser access like adb wireless, terminal emulators etc. Each app has it's own function so depending on your needs, just search for playstore and I am sure that you will find an app which suits you the best.
Great, although Greenify it's ok because he can help you identify and put the bad behaving apps into hibernation when you are not using them.
Root uninstaller and es file explorer. Job done

If you are on ICS follow this method.
If you are on JB follow this method.
Before trying any of the above, do your own research. See if u have all the requirements before doing anything.

Done it. Download it, extracted the files, do the exact steps, everything ok, I see no change. The link you gave me for JB is [RECOVERY] CWM Recovery 6.0.3.0 for {JB} LOCKED bootloader and I have an unlocked bootloader. When Ienter in recovery with my phone it says that I have CWM v6.0.3.2

You can download HB app from the play store. But you will have the same error when installing any game from HB app (or others apps too), it's a bug on some devices... Try to do a Factory Reset and just download some app frrom chorme (don't do any update before this)... on my phone i did the same exact process 9/10 times until works..

It should be an apk or you can install from Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats&hl=en
Or download the APK from his XDA thread:

The problem is it doesn't Install as system so it requires a flash of zip to make system app.

So just use Root Explorer to copy the apk to the same location as your system apps. And make sure to check permissions.
Never mind I enrolled in beta program and he's testing a systemless root one.
