I am trying to disable this setting to debug some weird app behaviour that showed up with last upgrade. How could I do this? Couldn't find any pointers googling...
For me it's disabled as well. I think it's disabled for everyone, right?
It's disabled since you have at list one saved wifi network set with "auto-connection on".
So you probably need to delete all saved wifi network before it could be turned off
I deleted all wifi networks, no change. Switched off wifi, no change. Threw in a restart also no change. Stubbornly disabled. Still haven't setup any wifi even. Wonder what is constraining this setting

I forced the update with the Indonesian VPN trick and I am observing the system lacks some new options like the battery percentage, or the swiping down in the fingerprints detector to roll down the bar (that I had implemented in the last Oreo update).
I factory reseted the system and it wasn't fixed. Is anyone of you having this issue?

It happened to everyone that updated to Pie.
The fingerprint can't help you however, for the battery percentage, you can get from the play store this app and enable it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bryancandi.android.uituner
Hello,
ever since I dirty flash Pie on my 5t and then 9.0.3, my hotspot is giving error and won't start.
I tried everything I found on google.
1- reseting my network , tried different combination of names, passwords and 2.4-5 GHz.
2-tried this (adb shell settings put global tether_dun_required 0)
3-tried to change my APN type to DUN but the carrier doesn't allow it error came up.
4- tried tethering enabler module but installing it gives (magsik is not activated (while I have two working modules) error.
5- tried hardware acceleration in developers options.
that all I can remember for now.
- the only thing is left is to clean flash but its time consuming and needs backups
any ideas
thanks in advance........ my patient is running out........Ironically, I barely use it.:cyclops::cyclops:

UPDATE: CLEAN FLASH DID IT.
Hello everyone.
I have a question/sanity check .
I have my OP7t for about 1 month and it has been rock solid , best phone i had till now ,with a stellar battery life.
However, VOLTE/VOWIFI is not currently working, something with I thought it could be easily solved by enabling the switches for the function using the OnePlusLogkitapp

}
When that did not work(the switches where shown, but turning them on or of was not doing anything ) i put the switches back as they where (volte enabled and vowifi disabled) went back in the OnePlusLogkitapp and disable the switches from being visible.
Ever since I did this my phone seems to be having a shorter battery life .
I have not flashed anything on it or made any other action that would explain this behaviour.
Also , there was no other thing enabled or disable(or touched) in the onepluslogkit app.
Any oppinion is greatly appreciated
Hi everyone. I've had this phone for over a year now, the Google services work fine on wifi but doesn't on mobile data. Which post do i need to follow related to my version? Update firmware or change fingerprint? Thanks

Running on Pie you don't need to use a screen lock. You are the most likely person to get locked out... I use double tap on/off.
Android 10 may break it, Android 11 certainly will.

What? Who said anything about screen lock?
Hi,
It's not a new issue, I alreday had it on my S20 before.
I have 2 SIM Cards, different providers. I have to switch data between the 2 quite often.
I noticed that some apps/websites are very slow using 5G network. So i have to turn 5G off to avoid wait forever to load.
The issue is that once I switch SIM card then switch back again, 5G is back on. It does not stay off like I want it to be.
It's very anoying.
The only way I found to have 5G off for good is to activate "Power Saving" which disable 5G but also 120Hz, background apps and more. Not really what i want.
Let me know if you have any clue,
Thanks
Btw, why the 5G button disappeared in the quick setting panel on my S22 ? Was very useful
