How to install MIUI 13 new widgets? - Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro Questions & Answers

I have MIUI Global 13.0.2 stable version.
I looked at all the YouTube videos that explain how to install AppVault and Activity Launcher. I can see the widgets appear in the selection screen, but when I click on Add To Home Screen, nothing happens. The widgets are not getting added to the screen at all.
Has anyone got it working?

"show all widgets" button not working.

I'd like to add some widgets to my lock screen that aren't in the list of supported widgets, however when I click the show all widgets button, the screen flickers and the list refreshes, but all widgets aren't displayed there. Anyone else have this issue and did anyone solve it?
Without some basic information like...I dunno...what ROM you are using it is kinda hard to help you.
Soooo...what ROM are you using?
What rom and release are you running?
oh crap...sorry about that

Dark Status Bar in MIUI 9.5

All of a sudden, an old bug which used to be in 3s popped up. A dark overlay in the status bar which makes it look bad in every app.
Anyone know how to fix this ? I can change the theme which will fix it temporarily for few minutes before it appears randomly.
I'm in leaked Oreo Stable 9.5.6.

You sure it's not a launcher related issue? I don't have the problem, I'm using the same ROM! Try switching to the default theme and restarting.
If its possible, try to clean system.ui apk data and cache

Looks like I'll have to live with it. Flashed the 28.4 beta, dirty flash, the issue is still there.
I have the same problem on my RN4X... I have to change the theme to revert to normal bar (or you can change just the Status Bar from Customize Theme option), but it happens to change it back with the dark bar after some time (I observed that this issue appear after I play a game or I'm looking at a video).
I am on xiaomi.eu ROM

This is works last night i install gradeup app & this issue accure now i 1 switch night off & 2nd kick of app now problem solved:good:
Do you have Android Auto? My issue was because of it.
i had the same issue i was using pixel launcher rootless and mistakenly i set it to transparent mode and since then the bar turns dark (dimmed). could simply revert it back when i chose Dark from the the launcher's settings.
It happens whenever an app tries to use a dark mode. Anyway, I'm on PE pie now!

I've got it. So far, it's been sluggish, all of the updated apps are taking longer to load. Should I try clearing data of all those apps?
My own personal phone is starting to feel faster than the S9 in my house now.

Give it a go or do a reboot I had the beta installed and found it quite snappy but didn't like the ui so I am just going to use nova launcher when I update to it.

Well, so far so good. The only negative thing I can say about this release, which may improve over updates, is that Samsung's apps just seem to take maybe around a second more to load.
The dark mode and the adjustments all over the UI for one-hand operation overshadow this one small complaint.
My wife's phone received a 404mb download last night. I'm guessing this isn't it? The official

I have it here in the UK. So much better than Oreo. Snappy and the UI so much better

Surely you could tell by looking at her phone? It's a lot different to Oreo and it says Android 9 in phone info....
But no probably not, it will be around 1.7GB
Ok cool, she has received at least 5 beta beta updates. Lucky her. On note 9 we only have 3 so far.

I also updated from Oreo to Pie and was running substratum with sungstrum plugin. I deleted all the themes and cleared all caches and restarted before upgrading to Pie. When upgraded it was all fine but when switching to dark mode all my system apps went berserk and started force closing. Switching back to light mode solved that problem. But apparently there where still files from substratum conflicting with the dark theme. So I had to reset to factory settings and after that the problem was entirely gone. So maybe this is a heads up for some one else before upgrading.
The first drawback I encountered is the app drawer. When trying to move app icons to the bottom part of the screen it sets it automatically back to the top position. I find this very strange given the fact that Samsung wanted to let us use the bottom part of the screen more than the top part. Now I still have to reach to the top part of my screen. Not very "one handed" friendly. I use my icons in groups maybe that has something to do with it.
For now I still have to discover the upgrade more, but it looks promising for now. Its fast and the UI is smooth as butter.

You can set the apps you want to use in the bottom in home screen, not in the app drawer... That's a reason why there's a home screen in Android...

I don't want any stuff on my homescreen. I always use the app drawer to open up my apps. But I want to rearrange them on a spot I choose. Not was has been chosen by the system itself.

If they make the app drawer as you wanted to, the app drawer and the home screen will be the same thing... If you wanted a clean home screen, you can make the default page clean and put your apps on other pages

If she's already on Pie beta the final update to the stable version will only be small, if she's on Oreo it will be 1.7GB~
Beta is finished now so chances are she's either on the last beta or final already, check if the members app opens the full app or the beta OneUI part

[Wallpaper] [Magisk] OnePlus Nord Live Wallpapers on OnePlus 7T

Hi, all!
Saw this XDA article and decided to try these new Nord's live wallpapers on my OnePlus 7T.
It worked and I've liked these a lot, so I decided to create a Magisk module to use them instead of having to overwrite my original wallpapers. Since it works for me I thought that I should share it with the community.
Download : https://mega.nz/file/a0oShD5L#RFrOmut6Yezjuup75-quwf71dHz5gK8NrXe8ELd9jGQ
It works on OnePlus 7T but should also work on OP7, OP7Pro, OP7TPro, OP8 and OP8Pro. Try it out and let us know!
Thanks for the effort but this did not work for me....

nope, it looked successful but after a reboot i still have older wallpapers. I even selected each one and set them as previous wallpapers just in case and still not working
thanks bro
I did get them to apply but it only animates on the lock screen, not in the home screen when I swipe between pages. Is that normal? Using nova launcher.

Can't really understand why. Do they show up on the wallpaper customization instead of the previous ones - like in the image in the first post?

You're right, it doesn't animate in home screen, only on lock screen and on the transition from lock screen to home screen. I'm a user of Nova Launcher too so I went ahead and tested it with OnePlus Launcher and it also doesn't animate on home screen. Maybe it's the current behaviour (and even in a OnePlus Nord it doesn't animate) or it's a bug that occurs only in this context but I can't really tell since I don't have a device to test it.

I believe these animate during unlocking of device then stop to be a static wallpaper like the miui animated planet walls that start in space and zoom into a static location background.
Sent from my OnePlus 7T using Thebear Blue XDA Labs
Working perfectly for me. And yeah, it's just a short animation then locks into a static wallpaper when it's done animating. But that's probably how it's supposed to be.
works very well on OP7T, thanks!
So I watched some videos of the Nord with the live wallpaper applied and the way it's SUPPOSED to work is the wallpaper is static on the lock screen and doesn't animate until the phone is unlocked. I don't know if that can be tweaked with this mod but that's how it's supposed to work.

Yes, like the miui 12 wallpapers. They animate then zoom into a static image again.

Thanks works great.
If after using the magisk module, it doesn't work, go to the zip filer and find the OnePlus wallpaper resources apk and install it. It'll show up updated
Currently using Android 11 in my OnePlus 7T (via Open Beta 2) and this module still works without any change.

Question I am looking for a custom rom or an app/tool to customize and change recents app view

Hi there
Could anyone help me on this matter?
I am looking to customize and change the recents app view, I think it is called the overview window as well, as i do not like the way it looks on android 12, when it shows the app screenshots side by side and you have to scroll through them.
I'd like a lighter, simpler way to use the recents app screen, does anyone know of a custom rom that let's me do this or a tool that can let me customize the app switcher?
Thank you
the new version of poco launcher (4.xx) has an option to change it

Are you on an AOSP Custom ROM? I know there's "QuickSwitch" on GitHub. It lets you change the 'Recents' to that of another installed launcher, however the launcher must support being the Recents-provider.
QuickSwitch is good for when you're on MIUI and like to have the AOSP 'Recents' by selecting Lawnchair as the Recents-provider.
Other than that... MIUI has a vertical Recents option as well. Some versions of MIUI don't have the vertical option, IDK why... I have it on my Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM (MIUI 13).
