Question Volume Steps in Android 12 - Sony Xperia 10 III

Hello guys,
I read on the web that in the new Android 12 the volume steps are limited to 15.
On my Xperia 10 III, running Android 11, the system default are 30 volume steps. I'm wondering if Sony has kept that number of steps (30), or if in the new Android version the volume steps decreased to 15.
While listening to music, changes in volume by step of 15 are really rather coarse, one step could be too low, the next too high, especially when listening with headphones.
Several apps, mostly music players (for example Poweramp) that were able to increase the system volume steps (up to 50, 100 ...) seems that cannot do the same under Android 12 ... that's definitely bad, if confirmed.

There are 30 steps on Android 12

I confirm, they are still 30 steps.

I confirm, they are still 30 steps.

Yes, luckily Sony doubled the standard 15 levels to 30, which are enough when listening to music

FM radio volume problems

When I listen to the FM radio on my P3300, recently the volume starts OK (not great, but OK), but slowly over the next 20 minutes or so it goes way way down. In general I think the max volume is getting lower on all audio apps, including Windows Media Player, but this degradation of sound level is specific to the FM radio. Any ideas on what the problem might be? Thanks for any advice.

Navigation and playing music

So I finally got round to trying out the navigation whilst playing music on my One X, which worked fantastically on the old Desire.
1) I connect to my car radio via an FM transmitter which works really well however the beat audio distorts the base horrifically. I tried on really low volumes on the One X as well.
2) Both the nagivation and music appears to be playing at different volumes and I couldn't find anywhere to set these.
3) The most annoying was that the navigation cuts off the music about 5 seconds before it starts talking. It then says the usual "In x number of meters", then pauses for another 5 seconds before completing the sentance. It actually cuts straight back to the music, but the whole process end to end can take up to 30 seconds. My old GARMIN SatNav used to pause the music whilst it navigated so you never lost any of the song, whereas the One X keeps on playing in the background.
Anyone got any fixes or work arounds for any of these please, as this functionality is really useful
Thanks

Incorrect song durations

Hi guys I need help fixing the song durations detected in my music app players..
So far I have tried Rocket player, 3, doubletwist, walkman but they all seem to recognise a few of my songs as lasting over 20 min!
Those songs usually last around 3-4 min and I have even tried to delete and retransfer to the sd card. For example, the first song is stated to be 27:55 min long but when I play it, it just fully played out (around 3-4min) and go to the next song..
Anyone knows the solution? I need this solved as I usually use the slidebar to adjust to various part of my songs in order to listen to specific part and it just sucks that instead of going to the 2min mark, I need to move to some random timing and hope that is the 2min mark.
Thanks!

Unable to skip to next song in spotify/music player

I am using my iPhone headphones with my oneplus 5T and when I try to skip to the next song on spotify by double tapping the play/pause button on the volume rocker in the cord of the headphones like I have on my iphone and other android devices, it just skips to the next song but does not start playing as says the next song is paused.
Now I have tried the apps from the android app store that add these gestures but same result as above.
Is this due to me using an iPhone headphone on an android device? Something to do with a setting in spotify? I've also read that this is not a feature for oxygenOS? I've also noticed that using the volume up/down does not adjust the volume as well. I know oxygen OS offers gestures to change to the next song but I do not want to do that if my phone is in my pocket.
This is very frustrating when I have my phone in my pocket at the gym and need to skip to the next song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Eargasm in custom roms!

I have only tried it on havoc os 3.5 (less white noise-best results) and ancient os(more white noise) , rest were a hit or miss for me.
1. Install busybox
2. Copy narsil_useroptions file (in the attachments) in internal storage. (You need to extract it and place the file only)
3. Flash the given ainur version (in the attachments) in magisk , reboot.
4. Open uapp- bit perfect mode on.
5. Hifi quad dac settings - choose HIM mode.
U may reduce avc volume to -11 if the noise feels much.. I myself just notice it grossly in a few songs..
If u do not get results , repeat steps 2-5.
Edit*
Solved the volume reset issue- After doing the above steps - the volume resets to maximum - which can get quite hissy at times, therefore , rather than adjusting the avc volume - reduce the balance- under (change the right/left balance ) to a desired number which gets you a low noise floor and done. Now everytime we change / pause/ play songs , the volume remains the same, with the quad dac on always.
Do try on other roms and post the results!
Does the DAC works all the time now? Because I had to keep turning on DAC fix app from Playstore when I listen to music.
In my case - it sometimes switches off when u Play pause.. if u switch songs , or next one plays automatically, it doesn't go off..
Get the dac icon on quick settings , on and off from there, it's convenient..
