Eargasm in custom roms! - LG V30 Guides, News, & Discussion

I have only tried it on havoc os 3.5 (less white noise-best results) and ancient os(more white noise) , rest were a hit or miss for me.
1. Install busybox
2. Copy narsil_useroptions file (in the attachments) in internal storage. (You need to extract it and place the file only)
3. Flash the given ainur version (in the attachments) in magisk , reboot.
4. Open uapp- bit perfect mode on.
5. Hifi quad dac settings - choose HIM mode.
U may reduce avc volume to -11 if the noise feels much.. I myself just notice it grossly in a few songs..
If u do not get results , repeat steps 2-5.
Edit*
Solved the volume reset issue- After doing the above steps - the volume resets to maximum - which can get quite hissy at times, therefore , rather than adjusting the avc volume - reduce the balance- under (change the right/left balance ) to a desired number which gets you a low noise floor and done. Now everytime we change / pause/ play songs , the volume remains the same, with the quad dac on always.
Do try on other roms and post the results!

Does the DAC works all the time now? Because I had to keep turning on DAC fix app from Playstore when I listen to music.

In my case - it sometimes switches off when u Play pause.. if u switch songs , or next one plays automatically, it doesn't go off..
Get the dac icon on quick settings , on and off from there, it's convenient..

[Q] Sound problem: audio almosts mutes when music app loses screen focus

Hi. Having a problem with my Desire HD, which is rooted and CyanogenMod version 11-20140703-UNOFFICIAL-ace.
When using the headphone output as a "line out" to an external speaker in an audio app, such as Winamp, Mixcloud or TuneIn Radio, as soon as that app loses screen focus, e.g. going back to the home screen, the audio level drops to almost inaudible. The only way to cure it that I have found is to unplug and replug the audio cable and make sure the music app remains in screen focus.
Checking the Volume Control, the Media Volume is not reset, and turning it up to the maximum 15, still results in very feeble audio.
Not using any effects in DSP Manager.
The problem is not repeated if using a set of headphones or the phone's internal speaker.
Has anyone any idea what is causing this behaviour - is it likely to be software or hardware based? Any ideas?

Thanks dr.patron99. I haven't time to do a full wipe and reinstall right now, but I will report back in a few days, to see if that resolves the issue. Thanks for the pointer. Hopefully this will help out others too.
cm 11
flash recent nightly with full wipe and you're done! :silly:
device: Desire HD
rom: cm11 m8.1
recovery: 4ext 1.0.0.6 r3 build 8
hboot: 0.85
Workaround found!
Update: I did a full wipe, and replaced the old nightly with the more recent monthly 11-20140710-UNOFFICIAL-M8.1-ace, but the problem was still there for me. I will have to give the latest nightly a go, when I have the chance.
In the meantime, I found a WORKAROUND, by doing some extensive searching. I found a posting on that cures the problem for me on the XDA help forum for the Sprint Galaxy Note II. You have to sacrifice "OK Google" in Google Voice to achieve this.
The thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52533351 - and I have adapted the steps, which are a little different in my menus:
Home screen > Menu button > Settings > Voice > "OK Google" Detection > UNTICK the box for "From Google Search app" - the back out.
Fixes my sound problems on testing with TuneIn Radio Pro and Mixcloud. I hope this helps others too, who need a quick fix to the problem.
The issue seems to occur whenever the phone's internal mic is activated. The volume reduced to a very low level after using the Shazam music recognition app, which of course uses the mic.

[Q] low sound output on headphones

when i listen to music on my zenfone ,maximum volume is very low also music lags when using other applications, tried reflashing the firmware and other headphones but that didnt work any one got any idea?
two ways to get higher music volume on ZF2:
1) Turn off the equalizer in Music, that seems to help.
2) Get some different earphones, the Asus bundled items are significantly quieter than any others that I have tried. **Sorry, I see that you have tried others, but keep trying, I use Skullcandy and Jays, and both are much better**
With regards to the sound lag (its not just Musisc, it happens with calls and other apps too) when multi-tasking, Asus has been made aware of this (see the "Audio Issues" thread on Zentalk forum), and may, or may not be working on a fix....
Some people say that turning off System Sounds in settings reduces the sound lag, but I can't say that it has helped me. This is the single bug that most annoys me with this phone.
tried updating music fx plugin that came preinstalled to a newer version it improved the sound output a little bit, thanx by the way.
I think latest update (V2.17.40.12_20150515) has fixed this issue... Please update and check as many users are reporting that the bug has been fixed...

I'm on 2.19.40.20 and still have this annoying issue both on normal audio and speaker, which is always too quiet for any hands-free or outdoor use
Is there any workaround ? (rooted phone)
Do you think that Viper4android or whatever could help to raise the sound levels ?

(I own an Asus Zenfone 2E so I don't know if this will work with the Zenfone 2) I disabled (AudioWizard/com.asus.maxxaudio) and rebooted. Tada! Headphone output is a crap ton louder! Hope this helps! I also deleted the MusicFX plugin. Don't know which one of those worked but one of them certainly did!
This is what I disabled using NoBloat(Remove spaces) http: //i.imgur. com/NO7dvls.jpg?1
Having your headphones suddenly become more quiet than usual, whether it’s on both earbuds or just one, happens quite more often than you’d think. Before we discuss how to fix the problem of your headphones being so quiet, it’s important that we understand why it happens in the first place.
Here are the most common reasons why headphones become quiet:
Issue With the Plug or Socket (For Wired Headphones)
Issue With Connectivity (For Wireless Headsets)
Device Settings
Issue With the Audio File
Issue With the Headset Itself
Issue With the Ear

gone pear since last system update

I think I need to roll back/reset (or whatever it's called) my Swift, since this last Crackling update thing I have the following issues:
1) The Visualiser on the music player only works when it feels like it on the lock screen
2) I can't delete individual call logs, I can only wipe the lot
3) when some people text me, it doesn't play the text sound or notify me in any way, not even the notification light
4) switches off when I play music on the music player (I use Onkyo HF Player - free version)
All this worked fine before this latest update, is there any way to fix these issues in settings? if not, how do I do a "system recovery/factory reset" ... sorry for my lack of tech ability, I'm ok on a PC but phones are not my thing .... any help would be very much appreciated!
Hi,
I can't comment on your points 1 and 4, but:
2) I didn't notice this - doesn't bother me too much, but indeed I can't find out how to delete single calls from my call log
3) I don't see this issue. My phone makes a sound and vibrates when I get a text message.
I don't think you can roll back to the previous update, but a factory reset is:
Settings > about this phone > backup and reset > reset to factory settings (my phone is not set up in english, so I translated the texts I see - but I think you should be able to find it this way )
Hi, for the 1st issue I have noticed that the visualiser works perfectly with Google Play Music but doesn't work at all with SoundCloud. Might have something to do with the music player you are using.
I haven't tried Onkyo HF Player to check how it works with the Swift yet. I will give it a try over the weekend.

Quiet Audio Temporary Fix

I discovered that after updating my phone (retus) to the December Security Patch, my bluetooth, headset, and speaker audio was quiet... Stock Audio Effects on the phone was no help, and acts as if its disabled... Even though it was not when I tried to adjust its settings. I turned it off via Google Play Music in the settings by selecting Equalizer and turning it off before doing what I describe below.
My Temp Fix was to download the "Pi Music Player" in the playstore... Go to the equalizer settings, select to use the Pi Equalizer instead of the system EQ... Then press the "Flat" button beneath the equalizer 2x. Once you do this, your phone will come alive. Now you can choose the equalizer preset of your choice, including manual and set your own if you want.
If the audio goes soft again, just press the flat button 2x in the Pi Equalizer and re-select an EQ setting and all should be well.
I am not rooted (even though I would love to be) and anyone could this to make their music/phone sound better... Even if it only works intermittently.
So far I have tested the Slacker Radio and Pi Music Player apps with Pi EQ settings and it works fine for me...

Android DSP question.

Ever since I started using android, my choice for a DSP unit was Noozxoide EIZO-rewire™ PRO. Apparently, since the last update, the software is no longer usable. Lowering the volume only inserts a crappy stuttering sound. Since that app is old (but gold) and not updated, It seems it's finally time to move on. So, what are your takes on DSPs on Android Pie?
I need a module that does not require root or other methods of tampering with the system.
I need a module with profiles for each and every sound output (internal, jack and wireless).
I need it to auto-start on boot and work in the background without needing to set it up, or start it every time I want to use the music player or other media software.
The app mentioned above did everything I needed.
Thank you!
I'm afraid, there are no other rootless solutions for Android 8+. At least I don't know of any working one.

I tried the basic debugging solution... Idk what happened during the update but here goes my log:
>test game - volume slider working
>test youtube - volume slider working
>test sony music - volume slider creates audio glitching
>test google music - volume slider creates audio glitching
>force stop audio engine
>test sony music - volume slider creates audio glitching
>test google music - volume slider working
>force stop sony music
>test sony music - volume slider working
>reboot
>volume slider working globally
So that old but gold engine is still up for the task... Problem fixed,
UPDATE 2: problem occurring after system-wide back-up using the google back-up option. It seems it tampers with the normal operation of the integrated audio API. So, after a full back-up, a reboot and/or force restart of the DSP engine is needed. Also, sometimes after a reboot, the system is not operational again, then, the only fix is force stopping and restarting the process for the audio processor.
Will still keep an eye on the thread, maybe there are rootless solutions that could still work...
UPDATE 3. The problems persisted so I tried to access the Noozxoide EIZO-rewire™ PRO control panel from the music app (Sony Music Port - lastest version) and surprise, there was a new basic equalizer there that I never installed. It seems that Xiaomi pushed a new equalizer system to our phones that was interfering with my processor. I checked the system apps and found a new MusicFX app there. I disabled it and it seems everything is now working as intended.
The point is that for the past few days I tried to find an app that could replace EIZO, and no luck. There is no rootless system audio processor available, except those crappy riced apps from the store. So, if you want to get the most out of your audio, the solution was now found. This rootless mod almost gives you the sound quality you'll get from an iPhone 6s (mono speaker) and great sound from headphones/wireless devices.
This thread can now be closed!
