Global Developer MIUI for Mi5s Mix and Redmi 4A(4X)

Xiaomi's Releasing Global Developer Rom for Mi5s, Mi Mix and Redmi 4(A,X)....It will released on 7.5.18....this Friday.

For MIUI users who are owning Mi 5s / Mi MIX / Redmi 4X and Redmi 4A, here is the exciting news for you, the MIUI Global Beta ROM for Mi 5s / Mi MIX / Redmi 4X / Redmi 4A will be released on Friday for the first time. Please stay tuned.
For this week's update preview, we have not decided to introduce any recommended feature yet, because our developers are currently focusing on system stabilities and bug fixes. We are aiming to optimize the MIUI to its finest. Please be patient and steady, good things come to those who wait. MIUI Addicted.

At present, the wcrypt (Wanna Cry/Wana Decrypt0r) ransomware virus are spreading out continuously. We are kindly to advise you to install the latest Windows Security Patches in time to prevent system infections....i'll put the changelog(if xiaomi will show it)....in Friday....

Nice, finally I can use official ROM with OTA updates. Xiaomi.eu is good ROM but Global Dev was expected.

It's very simply. I changed my Nexus 5 because security patch wasn't update. And now, my smartphone is not update again, while a lot of phones are very very supported. I choose Xiaomi because release a lot of update and it take care of his smartphones, but this is not happening with Mi 5s. Last update was released in December. I thinks is not too strange if i'm feeling a bit messed around. They promise this update from some months

You can install AOSP-based ROM for UX. They have latest security patches. Official LOS will arrive soon. And Global Beta not canceled, it only took something like rest

Its releasing tomorrow ...im waiting too....please be patient....developers working very hard to bring us smooth miui experience on Android N.....

I know it, but my disappoint is because this situation go on from some months. This week problably was a different situation, but is stressful wait for a MIUI update so much. There first release of Android O and we still have MM.
Where is the AOSP man?

Imagine:
- You buy phone in December 2016.
- You receive Global ROM about that time, you feel happy.
- You see every month China users get new stable versions, you don't.
- Around February you lost opportunity to unlock bootloader, because you need MIUI 8.1 or above. Your ROM from December is 8.0.
- Month ago Xiaomi release Global 8.2, everybody was happy, they can unlock bootloader, but after a week ROM is deleted from Download section on official site and from OTA update.
- Week ago Xiaomi promise give you first global dev release. Yay we will be able again to unlock bootloader. And they have delay...

- Xiaomi start release closed beta Android 7 builds for mi5s. History show us that this model for Xiaomi is ************. Global version is... I have no words.
I know that there are ways to unlock bootloader etc. But official way right now don't work for Global Stable users. This phone have almost a year and stlii no working official solution.

I totally agree with you. First xiaomi device I've bought and I thought that this smartphone would be quickly updated to Android 7...

There are so many devices from Mi, they can't work normally. And you can almost always find 2 devices from Mi with same parameters

If to be true, I live in country which is on both sides in one time I am not from Russia, but know russian, I am not from big european country, but I can use english language a little bit.

According to the flashing guide given with the link, you can. Just have to download the file and put it inside the updater folder.

About 2 weeks and coming out ! I testing the 7.5.15 android 7.0 global beta build and it's much fast than miui 8.3 6.0.1! New fonts it's very awesome !.

It is 6..0 but I have no choice.
It looks like the baseband is different in the new ROM.

I unlocked my device and flashed in fastboot.all working fine and wekly ota works to.

New version of the Global Dev ROM for the Mi Note 2 is out:

Hi. Those versions are only available through the updater app if you have China dev or global dev ROM installed. Your device will come with global stable probably and to experience miui 9 and android 7 you will have to flash twrp and flash the dev ROM or use MiFlash with the fastboot method.

If it's from gearbest i think it will come with global stable.
About the unlocked bootloader , i don't think so , but there are tutorials to flash roms without unlocking the bootloader if you wanna hurry flashing . The best is to unlock it officially and proceed after with flashing.

MIUI 9 - v7.10.19 - China Developer Rom .. That's the final rom they have released (until now) that I downloaded..
Probably it comes with GApps and Chinese 'bloatware' (I would throw them away with Titanium backup, no problem).
Does this have some problems?? Anyone installed this specific version yet?

Hi! If you refer to the post above you , yea , i've tested the china developer rom. It does not have gapps and has chinese xiaomi apps that can be uninstalled.
If you guys want to try the china developer rom , you can download the latest version from xiaomi.eu , it's based on it and has gapps. Also , it is optimised for a smoother experience and no bloatware.

January update

Has anyone received the January update? Or have any indication when we'll receive it?

I think no one recieved that.
But i guess we will get it 2 weeks later

The only way I'm updateing is if it activtes the lte for me besides that I'm on pie.just waiting for a stable twrp or equivalent recovery option

any chance that this will fix the wifi issues with pie on the a2 lite do you think?
e.g. slow wifi when bluetooth is also on.

we need wait little more for january OTA, so far google dont relase security bulletin for upcoming fixes: https://source.android.com/security/bulletin#bulletins

If you flash via fastboot the aboot.img from the, for example, 9.6.4.0 update, you can use the Oreo TWRP in Pie without any problem but I think that someone in the official TWRP thread has a custom fix for Pie.

Also the update itself it some sort different of that of pixel phones
Nokia phones got the exact same software as pixel so I can't understand why our updates are late and different!!

Because it's android one phone

The A1 had the January update first because Xiaomi messed up its LTE bands, so they had to prioritize it.
With respect to the pure Android/MIUI controversy, this is an Android One phone, I don't understand why there are so many people asking for a MIUI port. I bought it exactly because it doesn't have any bull**** on top of Android.

note 8t 11.0.2.0 ota

my note 8t just had an ota update u.k 11.0.2.0 stable, has everyone else had this update.

Yea I got the update too, two weeks ago when I bought it in Germany (had MIUI 10 installed before but upgraded immediately).
But I guess the official miui download site has already a newer version: MIUI 11.0.3.0.
Checkout for the Redmi Note 8T EEA (PCXEUXM) as you got the EU version as well as me. The page says MIUI 10 but it is definitely MIUI 11. This version has a newer Android Security Patch level (December 19) and official theme support. I'm using it right now.
But there is also this page which got 11.0.5.0. I haven't tried this version yet. Maybe someone could give some feedback on this.
I also saw 11.0.4.0 floating somewhere on this Forum.

in settings on my note 8t it says miui global and not eea, iv heard eea version has less adds inside apps ? on my global you have to turn off adds in each app one by one, is it the same in eea, if not id rather have eea.

Today is pushed OTA update to random users cause it is beta stable...
11.0.2.0 - for Global MI version
11.0.5.0 - for Global EEA version
It is only new security patch 01/2020. Bugs are not fixed.

Hi. Can you relock the bootloader after installing Xiaomi.eu? I'm asking because i don't want to keep it open, will not experiment too much. Am mainly interested in default MIUI experience with all MI apps (dialler and messsages)...

POCO M2 Pro MIUI 12.5?

My POCO M2 Pro (6+64 GB) is still running MIUI 12.0.4.0 (QJPINXM) stable based on Android 10. It keeps saying there are no updates available but I'm pretty sure it has the requisite hardware to run Android 12, plus some sites are saying it has received the 12.5 stable based on Android 11 ROM already. I have even downloaded a MIUI 12.5 ROM (at least that's what it says) from some shady website but it keeps telling me "Update to this stable version is not allowed".
Anyone else facing the same problem? Got any solutions?

poco m2 pro got enhanced 12.5.2.0 update but some people still haven't got it idk why and about android 12 flash any custom rom coz i am not sure when poco will decide to give android 12 or even this will get it on not by them.

Ridiculous how Xiaomi ignores these phones just because "they're budget devices". The M2 has such good hardware.

Yes i agree but as usual xiaomi being xiaomi we can't expect much from them or atleast i don't expect so for me custom roms are always the best go.

Same problem how can we solve this problem?

Any updates to this issue? I am also stuck with MIUI 12.0.4. Tried Resetting and reflashing stock 12.0.4 ROM. Downloaded several official ROMs that were released after aug 2021. Cannot flash any of them with the updater. Only option seems to be unlocking bootloader and trying to flash fastboot version. But I cannot unlock bootloader as my work related enterprise apps will stop working.
Has anyone been able to upgrade to Android 11 ROM on poco M2 pro?

Afaik there hasn't been any official updates for the device after 12.0.4 version. I'm going to wait aa few days for the full rollout of MIUI 13 and hope that the m2 series is included

The MIUI 12.5.3 update finally showed up on the phone today. Installed it immediately. It is still in stable beta, But I got a notification as I had enabled the option to get updates early in the settings.
Installed fine and seems to be working fine. Android updated to 11. Security update till Jan2022.

I updated same today and got stuck in bootloop didn't boot at all so had to go back to custom rom thank god that i had my bootloader unlocked.

Bit late considering A12 has been out for 5 months now. I've already switched to a custom ROM.

I am talking about Miui 12.5.3.0 official, I thought i would give it a go to see if they have improved anything but i guess i was wrong even for flashing that. Currently flashed derpfest a12 just released new build
