Question Windows will not recognize pixel in recovery mode - Google Pixel 6 Pro

So I updated to the beta to fix an issue I was having with wireless charging. It created worse issues with phone calls. I tried to opt out of the beta and downloaded the public release through the ota. When the phone reboots to install the ota it says no system found and reboots back into the beta version. I downloaded android sdk, installed the drivers and when i rebook the phone into recovery my computer will not see the phone in device manager so I can not flash the current public firmware. Any help would be appreciated.

Forget device manager for now, make sure "fastbooot devices" in recovery shows your device. If not try a different cable or port or computer.

To be clear, you installed this -> Get the Google USB Driver (this is for Windows)?

download the driver zip. extract. right click on Android_winusb.inf, hit install. then you can update via ota (recovery mode) or fastboot flash (which allows you to re-flash Android using cli by flashing image or using the google's Web Flash Tool: Back-To-Public link for AFT
make sure your cable works though (best way to test is to transfer a file from pc to phone, if that can me done, cable is good)

[Q] Unrooted, partially rooted purgatory? Please help!!!

Background:
I had my Galaxy S3 rooted on 4.0.4 ICS with no problems for several months, however when I wanted to upgrade to 4.1 Jellybean via OTA I quickly learned that the OTA update won't work on a rooted OS. I installed an called Voodoo OTA which claimed to be able to temporarily unroot you device so you can get the OTA Jellybean update. It failed, did not accomplish what it claimed to be able to do, however what it did do was patially unroot my phone to a state that it can neither be unrooted fully or re-rooted back to a full rooted state. I did a full clean wipe and factory reset and I am still in the same position. I have used the Android Toolkit for S3 to flash it back to factory state it just hangs in ODIN at the boot.img, I have attempted to root and un-root with the Android Toolkit multiple methods and .tar files, nothing, just hangs when it gets to the imaging part.
The phone is fully functional, but I feel imprisoned by the phone now as it operates like an unrooted phone, but I can't upgrade it.
Can anyone help me out of this, even to just get back to a rooted phone.
Thank you to anyone and everyone for your advice!
I will donate to any developer that can get my phone back to working order!

I am desperate at this point , I have spent 2 almost 3 days trying to get my phone back to stock or rooted state. I have scoured Google, XDA and other Android phones. If anyone wants to volunteer and help me on or offline I will gladly donate generously.
I'd recommend forgetting about that tool kit for now. You should download the latest version of Odin v3.07, twrp recovery (tar file), and supersu.zip, and try doing everything manually; flash twrp through PDA from Odin, and supersu.zip through Twrp recovery if you get that far. The files are easy to find, so I'm not going to post links just yet.

I did what you said, but only after I figured out that I was using the wrong driver, correct device, wrong model. I used a USB driver cleaner, cleaned them all off, wiped the device, installed the driver and reconnected then I followed your instructions!:good:
I found these instructions on the AT&T Samsung forum for how to clean your drivers:

Here's what worked for me after literally trying everything under the sun (compiled steps from various sources):
Steps to Safely Cleanup and Remove old USB Mass Storage Drivers on your PC
Shut down your computer. Unplug your USB storage devices: USB Disks, flash, cams, CD/DVD, etc.
==> Other USB devices like keyboards, mice and LAN adapters can stay plugged in
Boot computer back up. Click for how to determine whether you are running 32 or 64 bit Windows
Download drivecleanup.zip, unzip and save to your desktop. Move the 32 or 64 bit version of DriveCleanup.exe toC:\Windows\System32
Open a command prompt window as follows:
==> For XP only: You must have Admin privileges. Click Start->Run, enter cmd
==> For Vista and Windows 7: You must open an elevated command prompt window!
After the command prompt enter: drivecleanup.exe
==> Your command prompt window should be similar to my example below.
==> If, instead, you get an error message like Command not recognized it means you didn't move Drivecleanup.exe to the right directory
Reboot.
Download the latest USB drivers here:http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-I747MBBATT Click the tab at the bottom that says "Manuals & Downloads" then Software then the link for the Device(Install),USB Driver (Software) (ver.v1.5.14.0)
Intstall Drivers
Reboot
Unplugged or disable your internet connection ***CRITICAL***
On your S3 go to Settings>About device>Check for updates and install the update (eventhough we next do a hard reset the new firmware is worth it if only for the brightness feature added to the notification drop down).
Do a hard reset on your Galaxy S3 instructions for that here: http://www.hard-reset.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-hard-reset.html
Turn on S3 (without USB plugged in) and don't login to your Android account ***CRITICAL***
Plug in USB and it should install all the drivers at long last ***SIGH***
Login to your Android account with the USB plugged in and you should be good to go!
Thanks again for helping me out!

[SOLVED]
went back to stock recovery and side loaded the full 1.4 gb rom i will leave a link for tutorial that i used, i wanted to get back to complete stock and this was the one use
"https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-how-to-unroot-your-oneplus-3-and-go-back-completely-to-stock.456232/"
When you have TWRP you have to install full zip, not simply the eval OTA zip

Flash the stock recovery.
Get stock recovery from downloads.oneplus.net
I cant seem to flash the stock recovery. The device is not visible in adb devices or fastboot devices. im facing the same issue.
If you are using TWRP 3.0.4-0 - try a hard boot...hold down the power button for 20s...wait 20s, power it back on.

easy solution. Boot into fastboot
download this tool.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
if newest version isnt working, download an older version with older twrp
than unzip the tool and run the .bat file and install twrp.
Thats it
There are many posts on Nougat not working with official TWRP (based on 6.0 build). Try booting into stock recovery. performing a system settings reset, then booting into fastboot and run the adb command, <fastboot boot TWRP-3.0.2-1.28.img>. From there you can do virtually anything you need to do. I recommend at least using a modified version of TWRP (such as 1.28). This has been posted many times before, please try and do a search for the answers first, it will help tremendously. Thanks
recovery
i had the same problem on my rooted OP3 when i used TWRP 3.0.2-1 , it worked to flash the full 4.0.1 rom but failed for everything else, flashing latest verion of twrp fixed it for me
Got the same problem (unrooted phone + device state locked, cannot access recover, but can access fastboot) with an added "benefit", USB debugging mode was off before it all went crashing and burning.
How to access my phone via PC? (all the guides I've found assume I had USB debugging mode on before the phone got soft-bricked, but as a normal phone user who never installed anything custom, I've never figured it is A MUST BE ON function).
Or simpler question - what tool to use to turn on the USB debugging mode? (if that is at all possible?)

Noted that you solved your issue, but this post is about the new version of TWRP. Version 3.0.3 is available on twrp.me and it works with Nougat.

Android fails into TWRP, TWRP Won't Load Anymore, and Phone Not Recognized in Win10

Hello, I tried to install the rom Google PixelROM v7.3 for LG Nexus 5X[7.1.2] by argraurand, and now my phone will no longer boot into TWRP or the OS. I am running TWR 3.0.2-0, I didn't see anything about having to have that updated to the most recent for using this rom. I was able to install the rom fine from this TWRP, but now my phone seems to be bricked like. Sitting with the phone in the bootloader, I can't get windows/fastboot/adb to recognize my device connected to my computer, the google drivers are definitely installed as earlier it was being recognized fine by windows/fastboot/adb. My bootloader changed with this ROM being installed, but now the TWRP won't load either, and neither will the Android OS (it looks like it's about to load then just defaults into the TWRP loading screen, which just sits forever). I can get also into the download mode "firmware update" tool of the phone by pressing the volume up when booting, but even in this mode the phone isn't being recognized in windows anymore. Do I have any chance of restoring my phone, or should I start shopping? I've fixed other phones many times, but without being able to load/restore via fastboot I feel totally lost.

Try a different USB port. Maybe even a different pc. Fastboot tools was just updated. Make sure you have the latest one.
Maybe you can get a fastboot connection in Linux. Try this:

Thank you both, I tried both another computer, and running this linux version with the fastboot built in, nada! Guess I'm shopping for a new phone. Pixel here I come. Thanks for the help agian.

Samsung SM-P605 not able to install

Hi all,
i hope to find here some help on how to get Lineage OS on to my Samsung SM-P605. I´m trying now since two days to get it flashed without any luck and i read already a million threads and watched thousands of youtube videos without any luck.
I have a freshly installed Win10 Laptop from where I´m trying to flash my Tablet. The main issue is that i´m not even able to get twrp running on it.
I installed ADB and fastboot on the laptop (wiki.lineageos.org/adb_fastboot_guide.html)
Downloaded the twrp from here (twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxynote1012014qcom.html)
Installed also the latest Version of Odin3 v3.12 on the laptop.
When using Odin:
It says that flashing was "passed" but after shutting down the device and restarting with Home + Volume Down + Power. I still get this:
imgur.com/1dIs5eZ
imgur.com/MjstaYz
I tried following versions of twrp:
twrp-3.1.1-0-lt03ltexx.img.tar
twrp-3.0.2-0-lt03ltexx.img.tar
twrp-2.8.7.0-lt03ltexx-4.4.img
When using Fastboot:
Tablet is powered up and connected via USB to the laptop
Using the command "adb reboot bootloader" works fine. Device reboots and goes in "download mode"
After this the device is not reachable anymore command "adb devices" shows nothing connected.
command "fastboot flash recovery twrp_xxxxx.img" only says waiting for device.
Interesting here when starting Odin it recognizes the device.
I followed these instructions:
cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/install-twrp-recovery-android-using-fastboot/
Does anyone know what i´m doing wrong? USB debugging is activated.
I also tried several drivers i found on the internet but no game changer here.
Any help is really appreciated.

I´ve got the same issue, and now I took the twrp-2.8.7.0-lt03ltexx-4.4.img.tar and it worked. , btw, only this worked for me. nothing else I´ve tried.
But it is a hassle with this Samsung Note... I needed several boots to come into the twrp recovery.

Erase some apk with adb and stuck on reboot

Hi! I hope some one knows how to restore apk on a Galaxy S9 plus
I was trying to get rid of Bixby and erase some apks using adb app control, I have a backup of the apks in the computer, the problem right now it's that the phone has many photos and most of them are important , I would like to know if there is a way to avoid wipe data/ factory reset, via adb or Odin.
I'm stuck on loop after the operator logo.
It doesn't boot in safe mode.
I already have android 10 ROM but I'm afraid that if I flash it with Odin , it will wipe the user data, if there is way to Just update, or restore this files please let me know.
Thank you very much for you help.

did you try booting into the download mode twice?
Once and then again and then start the odin.
I had to do that.
I had to flash the official firmware myself because my phone keeps crashing on the homescreen.
Didnt solve it but I did flash it properly.

go to the recovery.
connect to the PC.
open odin.
click on "reboot to bootloader"
It should go to to download mode.
what does your download mode screen say?
When I was doing this process I tried reflashing the latest rom but that didn't solve my boot loop issue.
So I flashed an older version of the rom.
Make sure the version you download is compatible with your phone.
You have G9650ZHU9FUG2 so only roms with 9 will work.
I flashed that old version and it didn't work, phone still stuck.
Then I flashed the latest one again and then my phone worked.
I used odin from the link you posted.
Odin3 v3.13.1
actually what i would suggest is downloading/re-downloading samsung usb drivers. otherwise most phones won't respond to odin even in download mode without it

Hi! Today I have successfully flashed the exact firmware that the phone had ( there is no newer) using a different laptop (it's true if the problem persist with Odin, use another laptop)
I got success message, at the very first time, and when the phone reboot, nothing , stuck as it was before, so I erased cache partition and no luck, still stuck on reboot, I have also tried repair apps , and reboot sistem now, what else should I do?
Thank you very much!
Hi! I want the community to know that using the APK adb app for Samsung it's a bad idea, after successfuly flashing the firmware and performing a factory reset several times the phone remain stucked, I downloaded about 10 different firmwares and flash them all times without an error, and the phone was bricked and stuck in boot. So I took it to the official service and nothing, still the same, then I found an external service that flash the device with a little box that they said they paid in advance for credits for using that box, it took them one full week to revive the phone, also they had to flash it several times. In conclusion, if you buy Samsung, stick with the garbage apps the throw, if you mess with the system in some way as the official technician said, the phone will be nearly unrecoverable for privacy benefits for the user. Thank you very much for the help to the community!
