Question MI11x heats up while charging - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

HI. Recently bought mi11x and device heats up a lot. while charging.
is there any solution.
i am on MIUI 12.5.7
does anyone else also have it or its just me?
I was wondering will moving to a custom rom or kernel will help in any way?

A bit of heating up is normal.
Maybe you're not used to it because your new phone has Much Faster Charging than your previous phone.
You could look at the stats. Download "AccuBattery" from Play Store. Very useful app.
It'll show you the rate at which your phone is being charged, and the temp.

You can factory reset and recalibrate your phones battery if it's a new phone and newly updated.

[Q]Xperia Play charging to fast and discharching fast rate

Hello Members!
I have a rather odd problem my second xperia play rooted with stock rom starts to behave strange.
I had it repaired since the connector between the screen broke (seems a common play problem).
Now to the problem my xperia play is starting to charge very fast and discharches at very fast speed aswell.
I didn't use the play for 2 months since the repair center didn't have the connector in stock.
I didn't send my battery to them because I rooted the device and if they decided not to repair it I needed to pay 40 euros to get the device unrepaired back. So yea I just sent the play withouth a battery if there was a chance they didn't want to repair it I still had a spare battery.
But they repaired my rooted device !
Anyway the battery stayed dormant for 2 months aproxx. Since yesterday I have my second play back and this problem is occuring.
Another strange thing is when I put the other battery in my play and try to charge it there the device won't charge at all
The led is on but the battery indicator doesn't show the charging icon. The other battery doesn't have this problem it behaves the same on both devices and charges normally and discharges normally aswell
Did the battery die on me ? Would wiping battery stats help ? or anything else I can try?
I assume that the battery is giving the phones wrong readings but then again doesn't explain why the other play behaves diffrently so I am very confused of course.
At the moment I discharged the battery to 0% and charging it way back up to 100%
Edit in less then one hour the battery has gone from 0 to 62%
The strange thing is my other unrooted play doesn't want to charge the battery ( led on that it charges indicator on upper right corner not)
Kind regards
Edit now testing a full discharge fired up a game with wifi on to see if the battery is giving wrong readings.
Problem still the same though when I put it in the other play charging icon not showing.
Will try to delete battery stats after this and see if this works
Any other help is appriciated
Ok things I tried so far
Full charge/discharge = did not help
Wiping battery stats = did not help
Reflashing rom + wiping battery stats = did not help.
Still same problem battery charges in old xperia play but not in new xperia play.
Really no one else that has tips ?
Kind Regards
Probably Hardware problem.
Looks like overclocked battery.
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
You cant overclock the battery imo didnt overclock develice either

Battery level to high

Dear xda community,
my problem is that my battery level says my battery is charged to 4432 mAh (checked via couple of battery calibration apps), interesting thing is, that the max capacity of my original battery pack is only 3000 mAh
Things that may occured by this is, that my phone reboots frequently if i plug it off the charger. It does this in a way which makes it for me unusable, because it did not even load further than the lg logo in the bootloader, only way to fix it up again is to plug the charger back in. I tried flashing a new rom, an older rom (where these problems never came up) and also flashing the latest kernel.
I'm currently running on cm-13.0-20160309-NIGHTLY-d855.
Hope somebody can identify the problem and help me out
Best wishes,
LoCk :3
dude ur battery is gone.i had the same problem and the only fix is new battery.so go get a new one ok,it will solve ur problem i guaranty u that.

Games drain battery faster than charger can charge with new rom/kernel update

I recently upgrade my stock Nexus 5X to AICP (Custom Rom based on LOS) and everything that came with that (unlocking, TWRP, updating kernel, rooting with Magisk) to "celebrate" the end of security updates for the Nexus 5X.
But I've noticed that when I listen to an audiobook and play a game WHILE IT IS PLUGGED IN, the battery will slowly be DRAINING. For some reason the charging can't keep up with that load anymore, when in the past it'd slowly charge under that same combination of apps.
Could it be slower charging? Or the system using the battery less efficiently? How can I tell? Could it be quick charging no longer works under the new ROM? I think it might be that this new ROM is just more draining, but I can't really tell or know what to look for. Have others experienced this and can maybe point me to something that works better like the stock OS used to?

Device staying awake all the time therefore draining the battery faster

Hello! I used to have at least 6 hours SOT while on MIUI11 but after updating to MIUI12 my battery life drastically changed.
I was getting no more than 4 hours SOT on MIUI12. According to battery stats my device was awake all the time, including at night when Wifi and Data were OFF.
I was so angry that I decided to downgrade back to MIUI11 hoping it would revert back my battery life as it was. Unfortunately that didn't help! Once I downgraded - my battery life was still bad (around 4h SOT) and device was still awake at night! (check screenshots)
What could be causing this and what would you suggest me to do? I already tried calibrating the battery but no luck... :crying:
Hi
Got the same issue, i solved it by going back to miui 11 android 9, I'm using latest xiaomi.eu ROM based on that build
Hi
For information, i fixed the problem by changing the charging port. It was a hardware issue.
Bought one from aliexpress (20€), now fast charge is working again, mtp is back and no deep sleep issues anymore

You can check what causes the wakelock in betterbatterystats app. For me it was due to otg wakelock caused by damaged charging port
This was my solution for it:
Wakelock issues | otg_default, usb, usbpd0, qcom-step-chg
Hello, I thought that I was the only one with such an issue but by now I see more and more people in the forums who are hit by this same problem. I created this thread to be a discussion for all things connected to this problem - when and how it...

Redmi Note 8 Pro Drains so fast after updating to MIUI Global 12.5.2 Stable

Just to warn everyone to NOT update your phone to MIUI Global 12.5.2 Stable .. after I updated my phone ran so hot I couldn't even hold it in my hands
Had to power the phone off, put it under a high speed desktop fan and quickly copy all my photos off the device and then Factory Reset the phone.
However even after a Factory Reset it drains the battery so much faster then before
Also I use my phone as the satNav for my car using Google Maps and now even with a 5 volt, 2 Amp car charger all it can do is maintain whatever charge level it has - so if it's at 80% charge and using google Map it will sit at 80% whilst being charged. If there is no car charger plugged in it will drain really fast.
I've disabled as many things as possible from running in the background and use anti-bloatware software to remove as much of the junk that comes preinstalled on MIUI as possible but it still drains fast.
This update is a total nightmare and should not have ever been released. And I've not even noticed a single improvement to the phone
Also I posted this exact post on the Xiaomi Reddit group and instantly this post was disallowed, so there might be many more people trying to warn others but having their posts blocked.

My phone didn't boil like yours but it was draining battery more than usual.
A quick solution for you is to downgrade to MIUI 12.0.8.0 (latest Global 12.0.x ROM last I've checked). It's better to clean flash to avoid issues so make backups.
