tl;dr: I put on a LOCA screen protector, but the fingerprint scanner did not work.
So when I received my S10+, I immediately went to my nearest mall to buy a tempered glass screen protector, because I was afraid that I would drop it, and crack my shiny new phone. They showed me a LOCA screen protector and they said that it supported the in-display fingerprint scanner, and because the whitestone dome glass was also LOCA, I agreed to buy it. When I got back home, first I removed the plastic screen protector, then removed any fingerprints or dust, then I carefully put on the LOCA glue in the middle, then put the glass on, tiled it left and right to make sure the glue fully touched the glass and placed it on the table, then UV cured the top, middle, and bottom, each for 15 minutes. After it was done, I carefully used a razor blade to remove excess, making sure not to remove the glue touching the glass, then powered on my S10+. The touch was working normally, so I went into settings, searched fingerprint, and tried to register my finger, but it kept saying "Press a little harder", or "Make sure your finger fully covers the fingerprint scanner", etc. I pressed harder, but nothing happened. So I went to the mall again and decided to exchange for a plastic screen protector. So if you don't want to waste money, DO NOT BUY A RANDOM BRAND SCREEN PROTECTOR. Even if they tell you its LOCA or that it supports the in-display screen protector, don't buy it unless its a Whitestone Dome Glass or another screen protector that has been confirmed to work with the fingerprint sensor, in which case go for it.
I think even with the Whitestone Dome you had to press on the fingerprint area while curing to make sure the fp scanner worked. So I'm guessing it would be the same with the non Whitestone ones.

No need to press on the FP during curing with Whitestone. Just do some extra curing and first at the bottom.

Curing for 15mins??? Was this a personal decision on your part to cure for 15 minutes? To the second post, yes you're correct that Whitestone Dome updated their instructions to push down on the sensor in between curing sessions.

Yes, it was my personal decision since I searched up how long to cure and the search result i saw said 15 mins so I randomly decided to do that, but also see edit, I did top, middle, bottom each for 15 mins, so should've been enough, the bottom for a bit more longer. After knowing it didn't work, cured it for 2 hours, but it still didn't work.
I tried the WhiteStone on my S10+ and it didnt work too well... even after following each step to the T. The FP was hit and miss each time, became annoying really quickly so off it came
I did think it might have been an error on installation but checking out the Amazon reviews, many people have the same issue.
I think a good idead would be a Tempered glass protector with a cutout for the FP sensor which is then covered by a TPU attached to the glass
Anyway, thats me done. Taa
I installed a ''ramdom'' brand instead of White Stone because it was much cheaper and came with 2 protectors. I did press a little at the bottom where the sensor is located. And the sensor was working, but not very reliable. Now with the new update for biometrics it has improved a lot.
My experience with the Whitestone on the S10+:
My first install I got a huge bubble. This is despite having done about 5 installs on my S9+ I upgraded from. I mistakenly dropped the pin when the glue hit the arrows instead of when the glue touched the glass. I did the cleaning of the phone and glass before curing. Note: I couldn't get the absorption pads in, so it made a huge mess in the tray.
Second install was with my "cleaned" glass. The install went much better. There were two annoying but acceptable bubbles. I only noticed them on white bg or when the screen was off. The FPS was very hot or miss. Turned out there were micro bubbles barely noticeable below the FPS and below the speaker. Apparently they were causing a problem even though it wasn't where the sensor was. It was enough to throw it off. I did the 1 minute press at install. Success rate was about 2/10.
I contacted WSD about how to do a warrenty, using Facebook messenger. I was willing to pay for the replacement. I figured the error was in my cleaning of the glass. They ended up sending out the replacement for free. No pictures or anything needed.
Third install went off without a hitch. The replacement shipped with the absorption pads installed. They now hook into the top tray instead of putting into the bottom. I did the 1 minute press and cured 2 or 3 minutes each top and bottom. Success rate is now 17/20, which is just as good or better than what I got on my 9+. The latest patches seem to help a ton.
Notes:
I'd read someone say after the latest patch to redo finger prints with a little pressure as possible. This seems to have made a big impact for me.
I've read that if you're hands are dried out, that can affect things. I definitely have more problems when my hands are dried out.
Sometimes my thumb will move slightly during the scan. This results in an almost definite fail.
Lifting my thumb too fast seems to contribute to fails. If I leave my thumb on until it clears, I have almost perfect recognition.

Recently purchased the whitestone dome glass and installed it. Been using it for almost a week now and fingerprint scanner works pretty well for me (95% of the time). Was hesitant due to bad reviews but gave it a shot and I'm pleased with it. I followed the instruction video on their website and installed with no problems.

I ended up buying the Neo Flex Screen protector and Spigan neo hybrid case absolute brilliant so glad I did. I've had them on now for about 2 months working in the building trade so my screen goes through a lot dust and all sorts and this screen protector has done brilliantly.

I recently got a couple of small light scratches on my s10+ i am hoping they are just on the film protector that already on the phone and not the screen itself.

I didn't really read the reviews as such at first but after i have received them noticed only 1 person had reviews that has my phone saying the finger print sensor doesn't work and also pointed out that all the other 5 star reviews had been added on the same day, so after looking again they do all seem a bit dodgy.
I have been reluctant to open the pack and try them and have opted to just get a refund instead.
I am in the uk, does anyone know any glass protectors on Amazon that are actually good and do work with the fingerprint scanner, or will only the film ones work? My only problem with the film ones is the air bubbles and also the fact i think will be awkward to fit around the corner of the screen. I assume the glass ones would just fit around perfectly?

The S10+ uses ultrasonic waves for its fingerprint authorisation whilst other phones use optical (light). The ultrasonic works by 'reading' the bumps and grooves of your finger, including their location and depth. Because of this technology, a glass SP would need to be mighty thin but more importantly be in full contact with the scanner area of the screen
Whitestone Dome had originally thought it managed this by using a UV activated liquid glue to eliminate any space. The trouble is as soon as you press on the FP area, the dynamic of the glass and space changes, which is enough to give an error when scanning. Whitestone recently updated its instruction to press on the FP scanner for a minute or so before fully curing. But even this is not enough to prevent the minute shifts in the glass and glue to cause an error
The reviews for the Whitestone are hit and miss (i tried it myself but it did not work well for me)....so LSS, there seems there is no feasable glass SP for the S10+ at present
Your next best option is a dry applied TPU film - there are some good 4 stage application ones where you first place it on the screen, then fold back one half and squeeze it onto the screen with a hard card, then fold back the other half and do the same. Lastly, you just remove the protective cover
It doesnt give full edge-edge coverage but works well with the FP scanner, case friendly and leaves no bubbles

I second meddylad only because I also couldnt get whitestone to work what so ever. Tried 2 different times and they both times failed. Bought a zagg film which has the apply one side at a time without bubbles and it protects my front camera. Now they sent me out a glassfusion(it what they called it) got here today but havent installed it yet. Took it out to see if it was glass but it bends to easy so I'm thinking it's more like a harder plastic
Any brand that use glue with uv can work with s10. Just make sure when u install, on the finger print portion u need to push it while u dry the glue with uv light. I had done many times with success
the whitedome works.. except after a while.. bubble will form out of no where along the edge and more and more will appear from out of no where

Good thinking, I'll give it a go. I don't like the plastic film covers that you can buy but I'd rather have one of them than nothing at all. I'll keep this glass one on til I can find something better

Whitdom glass, I ve installed it yesterday, fingerprint works really great but I just need to Apply a bit more pressure then before, but it's a great screen protector you can't even notice it's there it does not mess up with the beauty of your screen colours and it's super high touch responsive, I like it

I confirm, I bought a tempered glass sold with glue and UV lamp on Aliexpress for less than 3 euros and it worked. As mentioned, it is necessary to press a little on the scanner area before complete drying with the UV lamp. I have no problem to unlock the phone Avoid spending your money for the Whitdom solution, there are cheaper altenatives that work just as well

I installed the Whitestone on my S10+ the other day. It was a simple process to install, no issues. Followed the video they have on their site. I cured it once, pressed the fingerprint portion of the screen down and cured it again twice. I tried to register my fingerprint immediately after, and it didn't work. I promptly sent an email. I found I had to press rather hard to get the fingerprint registered. I turned up the touch sensitivity, and I've had no issues with the fingerprint sensor thus far. It works almost 100% as accurate when I had no screen protector installed. I consciously press a bit harder when scanning my fingerprint, but other than that no issues. I also registered my thumb three times in 3 different positions. This may have helped, or it might not do anything.

I bought an AmFilm Ultra Glass Screen Protector from Amazon. It costs like $40 and you get 2 (I guess in case you mess one up applying it). I haven't put it on yet because I have a hybrid screen protector on my S10+ from Zagg that's supposed to be glass and plastic or some kind of film with a lifetime warranty.

Ive tried WSD and some cheap versions online and tried the cure all / cure top then press hard n cure bottom and although i get some success its hit n miss....
I will wait to see what new products come out but for now the best ive found is the otao dry applied TPU
So, I just got a glass screen protector for my red magic 5g, but after applying it and re-inputting my fingerprint, I found that the fingerprint scanner is quite a bit less consistent than when it just had the included plastic screen protector.
So, for those who have tried them, which glass screen protector still works well with the in-screen fingerprint scanner? And could you link them in this post?
I honestly don't think the screen protector makes the fingerprint scanner any better or worse, in my opinions. It's just very poorly calibrated.

Nope. Tried 2 already:
Nillkin H+Pro, 0,2mm temperes glass. Thin enough to work with the fingerprint sensor but covers only the display portion, none of the bezels. Because of this, it gets the rainbow effect on the sides.
Spigen ez fit rtc. Tempered glass. Pretty good coverage (could be better) but the thickness interferes with the fp sensor, it works very slow with this one.
So...where to buy "the one to rule them all". Full coverage, edge to edge (maybe with black borders) and sufficient compatibility with the fp sensor. Share your experiences!

I'm 90% sure that this is the same as the Spigen one. Fp works but is slower. It is cheaper though!
I tried to get a tempered glass installed, but the Samsung store person informed me that the ultrasonic fingerprint reader is a hit and miss so I went with a GadgetShieldz scratch guard as of now. But I'm keen on understanding others' experiences on tempered glass.
I personally don't like tempered glass ones, I'm more concerned about scratches than it falling. So I went with Samsung's own screen protector, got it at my local store and asked them to put it on there.

I like it very much, it's practically edge to edge, I'd say about .5mm gap.
My experience with glass screen protectors is that, unless they're bonded with a light cured adhesive, the fingerprint scanner stops working reliably after a few hours. Re-registering the fingerprints or increasing touch sensitivity in settings does not significantly improve the situation. Outside of the fingerprint sensor issue, this generation of tempered glass screen protectors, most of which use a snap-on frame to guide their installment, work very well and seem to be case friendly.

The most important would be is your mid/long term experience with it.
Simply indicating what did you choose in the end is pointless in my opinion.
I hate GeekSquad but, they do at least one thing right: they install good screen protector. Just go to BestBuy and ask for a custom screen protector. They will install a ClearPlex protector with a special machine and it has a lifetime warranty. Cost: 30$ CAD. No problem with fingerprint sensor... Plus: if you ever find scratches, you can use a heatgun to repair it. The plastic will "self-repair".

I use the same phone cover that can self-heal the scratches and it really works, the scratches disappear within a few minutes. I got it from Gadgetshieldz for just $12 and it is giving good protection also fingerprint works fine! This S22 screen protector is better than the Samsung protectors.
I used the Whitestone and two cracked in 2 weeks.
They take a month to respond never buying again

I have Spigen's EZ-fit tempered glass on my S22 and can't really say I like it. The fingerprint reading is very hit-and-miss. And this even after I deleted fingerprints made before installing the protector and new ones recorded after. Using it from the AOD screen nearly never works. Once active it seems to be less problematic than for AOD, but not well enough to be called "good".

Dinamo mentioned a different product. It is not tempered glass but a very soft TPU with sprayed adhesive. Hopefully it works fine cause I just ordered it. I think Samsung screen protectors in Galaxy s10 time was exactly the same.

Does anyone know of any S22 screen protectors that actually has a cutout for the fingerprint reader? I can't find any (I only see S22 Ultra protectors with the cutout).
Call me crazy, but I'm upgrading to the S22 from a S10e which had the side power button fingerprint reader. With the S10e, in the time it took to reach into my pocket, grab my phone, and look at it, I could locate the power button by feel and input my fingerprint.
I'm thinking if I find an S22 screen protector with the cutout I could do something similar - reach into my pocket, feel the cutout for my finger and unlock the phone by the time I actually look at the screen.
Anyone? I'm beginning to think that only the S22 Ultra has a screen protector with the fingerprint cutout?

I'm also looking to upgrade from S10e to S22, and would probably be interested in this as well.
I ended up trying something on my old screen protectors laying around:
I took a grommet making kit I had laying around and tried punching a hole through a glass screen protector with a hammer and the hole cutter, but it didn't work (the screen protector came out virtually unscathed). Then I tried it on an old film style screen protector and it worked perfectly. Only problem was the color temperature difference for whites between the hole punch section and the screen protector. I'm hoping its just because that screen protector film had yellowed after 3 years.
So I ended up ordering https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RZVPTKZ and I am going to try this on the weekend. I confirmed in the S22 settings that you can set the fingerprint unlock to both wake and unlock the phone in one shot so I think this will work out great.
