hi guys,
i've never done no thing with this phone, but since todays morning it just has a bootloop. I managed to enter recovery (and there is the sideload option), but i have no idea what can I do with it. Wiping data and cache doesnt change a thing. Bootloader is quite useless without possibility to unlock OEM in settings.
Is there anything i can do?

Hey guys, I have recently unlocked my droidinc2 bootloader through the htcdev website, got root and tried to flash a rom. However, I didn't know that the htcdev unlock had many problems along with it, and so I ended up stuck on the white htc screen, not being able to boot up properly after flashing a rom. I can access recovery, but my computer cannot detect the phone so I can't use adb/fastboot commands. I know I should've done some research before doing what I did, im sorry for that :X. So far I tried factory resetting, wiping the data and dalvik cache etc but nothing seems to work. Btw, will flashing the "PG32IMG.zip" through bootloader work? I saw somewhere that it has problems with phones that unlocked through HTC. Any way I can fix this problem? Many thanks...

So I was attempting to unlock the bootloader using GNex Toolkit, which I now know I never should have done. After supposingly unlocking the bootloader, the Google screen would show up for about 10, then the phone would reboot itself. I decided to let it run its course and see if it would fix itself, but after doing this for about 30 minutes, I figured it wasn't going anywhere. So that's when I (also against my now better judgement) tried to relock/OEM restore using GNex toolkit. Well it wouldn't unlock, and the boot issue still exists. So then I started digging, and found efrant's wonderful guide on restoring my apparently soft-bricked device. However, even this did not fix the issue. I have tried locking the bootloader through fast boot, and while it will say that the bootloader has been locked, upon restart it was still unlocked and still having the boot issues. I even ventured as far as doing a ODIN reboot, but still same issue. I have since tried efrant's again, but still the same issues. I have access to fastboot and ODIN, and recovery, although I have not messed around there too much as I have not been able to find any information about that. At this point, I am all out of ideas on what to do. Just some last bits of info.
I was doing this all on a very freshly installed Jelly Bean update. This particular phone has never been rooted or unlocked. I don't really care about having it rooted or unlocked at this point, I just want a working phone.
Please feel free to make any remarks toward my past actions of using toolkits, as I have now since found the light, and any additional advice would greatly be appreciated.

The difficult part now is to understand where did the toolkit fail.
If you ran through the process manually again, and it still bootloops..Have you tried erasing first, then reflashing?
Code:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase recovery
also, while it's bootlooping, is logcat already running? That could allow some more insight on what's happening.

Hey Guys,
I've been rooting, unlocking bootloaders etc on android devices for a few years now but never had this problem.
I had a nexus 7 which was not rooted or unlocked and decided to do a factory reset from within android.
Device rebooted and was stuck on erasing data for 3 hours so I decided to boot into recovery, everytime I tried the device would reboot back to erasing data with the green android.
Next I tried fastboot, device is recognized but when attempting to unlock the bootloader using fastboot oem unlock command it gets stuck on 'erasing userdata'
I have also tried the fastboot erase user data and I'm getting the same issue.
I hope someone can help because I am out of ideas!!
Thanks
There is no known fix for this issue. Unfortunately Asus charged me $200.00 to fix mine (by replacing the motherboard).

fastboot oem unlock / erasing data hang
I know the last response was not very positive but as I seem to have hit the same problem as the original poster I thought I would try asking again with my scenario (which is slightly different) in case anyone has any ideas.
I have a Nexus 7 (2013) wifi. I have never tried rooting or playing with custom ROMs on it but after some suggestions that personal data (e.g. passwords, etc.) could be recovered from an Android device, even if you had done a factory erase I decided to encrypt it. This all went fine and this was while I was still back on 4.4.
I when through the upgrades to lollipop (5.0.1) all successfully but a few days ago I started to get an error 'com.android.vending has stopped' popping up every few minutes. I then noticed that the play store was not working and from some looking around these two issues seemed to be related. I then started to get some crashes (I could see these as when I went to use the tablet it was prompting for my encryption password). This seemed like a good time to try and clear down the tablet and start again so I decided to do a factory reset...
The first problem was the device just hung with the Android working logo (the one with the chest open and gears turning) with a message about 'erasing...' but seeming to make no progress. I then tried booting into the recovery mode but this just seemed to take me back to the same screen. Getting a little desperate now I decided to give ADB and Fastboot a go. Clearly ADB was not going to work as I didn't have a running Android but Fastboot connected to my device OK.
So I then tried to reflash the system but was told that by bootloader was locked. When I tried unlocking the bootloader (fastboot oem unlock) I get stuck with 'erasing data ....' again.
Any suggestions???
Just and update for you guys. I tried everything to fix it and no luck. I had to resort in sending it to Asus for repair. Unfortunately my warranty has expired. I just got a quote from them saying the motherboard has gone and it will cost me £250 to repair!!!!! I almost fell off my chair. A brand new 32gb tablet will cost be around £180. This is surely a joke? I will be giving them a call tomorrow to complain! Not Happy.

Hey guys, got a bit of an issue here...
Ive got a ZenFone 2e (ZE500CL) with a pattern lock.
If you boot into stock recovery, you only have the options to update from ADB, update from SD or reboot... Ive managed to boot into CWM through tethered recovery, and Ive done a factory reset. Ive also done Format/erase of userdata as well as cache... all of this to no avail. Ive searched for gesture.key through add, and for settings database to attempt to temporarily get into the phone by bypassing the pattern lock... All of this is to no avail.
I just need the phone cleared so it can be set back up by the next person to have the phone...
Any ideas at all? I dont mind being mildly dangerous with the phone (in regards to flashing firmware or whatnot... but I think that I can't just flash over the AT&T firmware with a rooted ROM without unlocking the boot loader....
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm running out of things to try...
(FYI, the phone was left behind by a customer for repair about 6 months ago... they do not want to pay for the repair, so it will just go on eBay to attempt to recover some of the costs... the customer does not remember the pattern to unlock, and it does not seem to be associated with a google account... Frustrating, I know...)

got o following link and flash raw firmware..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-bring-to-life-zenfone-2-ze500cl-t3503144
So... I actually got this fixed before seeing your fix... it was a little bit of a circuitous fix but...
ended up formatting all partitions, including system.. which left me with a completely blank phone... Pattern lock kept coming back no matter what I did.. Then:
1) used CWM tethered to boot to CWM...
2) adb shell to the phone to delete SDCARD "folder" (not sure why, but you can't push to CWM's sdCard "folder"... fought with it for about an hour) (command, if anyone needs it is "rm -rf sdcard")
3) "mkdir sdcard" through adb
4) sent SuperSu to the phone
5) Flash SuperSu
6) Reboot
(not sure 4-6 were necessary)
6) repeat Step 2-3
7) push WW firmware
8) flash WW firmware...
9) Wondeer where my Saturday went
10) profit
effing Asus/AT&T could make this a lot GD easier by including a "factory reset" option in their recovery... just saying.
HI guys,
I have an issue with the PIXEL C, the issue started after it would not accept the PIN any more to unlock, it seems to be a common issue on PIXEL C so tried to do a factory reset and it finished in a bootloop, it boots and starts erasing and after around 10 mins it reboots and starts erasing again. I tried many solutions the main ones being I did the OTA's through recovery/ADB sideload I had started with ryu-ota-opr1.170623.026-0f2fd8de.zip current version of OREO installed and a few day ago tried the latest ryu-ota-opr1.170623.032-c157769a.zip , it seems to succeed to write the system.img and vendor.img but skips the boot image since it senses its already installed and skips it, but alas the issue did not get fixed and tablet still bootloops trying to erase the data.
I cannot use the fastboot commands since the bootloader is locked and OEM UNLOCK was not set under Developer options, so trying to find a way to unlock the bootloader without having to set the OEM UNLOCK since OTA's did not work and will flash factory images.
I read that fwtool might help but it seems its part of TWRP and obviously cannot flash it so I would greatly appreciate for any suggestions on how to UNLOCK the bootloader without OEM UNLOCK being set or any other suggestion that might help maybe flashing TWRP or boot.img through ADB SIDELOAD etc.
Thanks
Hello I would like to ask you if you get any solution because I have exactly the same issue. Thank you
