OxygenOS 12 [OB1] [Oneplus 8 Pro] - First Open Beta of Global OOS12 - OnePlus 8 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

*Will update thread as rn im at work*
The first Open Beta for Global OOS has been release really quietly (no announcemment so far) but here is the link from where i download it:
https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/IN2025_11_C_OTA_1100_all_2fd4dc_10100001.zip
Been running the update since now about 6-7 hours, update from OOS11, same method as COS (download, put file on root and update from within 1+ update app). All apps and info stays the same. Its been running suuper stable, have tryied almost everything i can think. A little review:
-Notification are now working properly, everytime, even on AOD
-FP speed is insane (equal if not faster than OOS11)
-Lots of customizations but maintaining the OOS standards
-Battery drain equal or better than OOS11
-Banking apps working properly, even the FP auth ones
-Animations clearly faster and more smooth than OOS11
-Widevine L1
-No chinese bloatware (yeyy)
-True Amoled darkmode (Pitch Black)
-Vanced stuff working properly
Will keep the update and daily drive the thing, if someone need any info regarding how to update, or to "can you please check this...", im available to help

how to switch from color os to oxygen os please?

I'm guessing this will be only partially compatible with TMo bands on an IN2025 model?

Mine is a IN2020 and I flash this and now says IN2025 as far as data goes, it works perfect

Anyone running this on the IN2015 or 2010? If so, would you recommend it good enough to be a daily driver?

will this work?? I don't know how MSM tools works.

Won't charge on Android 12

Has anyone maintained magisk like we've done on stock rooted Android 11 updates? Usually I roll back magisk images. Install the update, let it do it's thing, not reboot. Then reinstall magisk and reboot. Will this process still work?

I have a problem with Line app crash.
(Color OS 12 beta , H2OS 12 Beta and also OOS 12 Beta.)
Now only run Custom 12. Line is my main chat app.

Ive tried out the firmware. Its working amazingly. Also, my phone that never once had a 5G bar suddenly says 5G (I am on Verizon). I feel like the battery life might be a little bit worse, but I have been using it the whole time with max brightness over the last 4 hrs. I went from 90 to 59%.
The photochrom app for infrared that works on android 11 doesn't seem to work, I have yet to try it with adb. It seems that engineering mode (factory mode) is blocked.
All of my apps seem to be running very stable. Calls, plex, games, etc. No issues
My OnePlus Bud z2 sound way better.
Ill add to this if there are any changes.
Edit 1: I forgot to say that after the update it ran sluggish for about the first 2 minutes then resumed back to blazing fast. I also updated from OOS (android 11) Beta 12.
It was also incredibly easy to retain root. Just use the system update to install the update manually then install magisk on the other slot. Restart, retain root.

Forced 120hz stopped working.
"hacked" call recording is not working.
New folders displays its content in the middle of the screen=poor reachability.
Cannot change folders icons into circles
Apps names visibility on home screen is connected to visibility inside the app drawer.
Widevine ok, banking apps ok

But for those who have the EU version phone, will there be a specific beta for EU or just the Global?

I updated my (ez)phone to na. Works. Nearly perfect.

I instalalled this update yesterday night , for now everything seems stable , i can't tell if battery is better or not because I rooted my oos 11 , and metod to root oos 11 didn't work for me on oos 12 , anyone know how to root oos 12?
The thing i can tell , buttons to navigate system changed , i could set custom gestures on oos 11 like if i hold home button my screen turns off, now i can't and their position is worse than oos 11 . And I agree with others that fingerprint seems working even faster

SOT and battery life on Pie 9.0?

Hey guys,
I have just received my new A2 Lite (4gb 64gb) with Oreo.
Is the 9.0 Pie upgrade worth it?
What kind of SOT are you guys getting and how's the overall battery life?
Smoother/faster or worse?
Any annoying bugs that haven't been sorted out yet or something that would hold you back from upgrading?
Thanks!
I think oreo is better on drain.
Pie has faster animations.
I recommend you should wait january update for pie. We are on 5 december security patch.
I haven't see any annoying bug yet.
If you upgrade to pie an hard reset would be good for daily use and speed(after updrading).

I noticed no bugs either, but some things are annoying, for example there are network indicator arrows on statusbar and it keeps showing and hiding itself. When you have DND enabled, it shows a dot then shows the DND icon. It's flipping annoying if you ask me. Other than that it seems fine but be aware you can't use a 3rd party launcher properly with Pie because of the new dock. It looks ugly and cuts the animation if you install another launcher. So far that's all my issues with Pie. Some people report that Pie has worse battery life, but I think it has to do with AI optimizations and it gets better with usage. Tried and tested. If the first two problems I wrote about won't disturb you, go ahead and install it. ALSO Pie doesn't have rounded corners on notifications like it does on Pixel devices. Which was a huge deal-breaker for me at first, but then I got used to it. Cheers!
EDIT: Overall Pie seems smoother because of the new animations and SOT depends on usage, my record was about 8,5 hours sot but again it depends on your usage, technically Pie is supposed give you better battery life. When you upgrade to Pie, you can downgrade however you will face SIM card issues etc.

Alright! thanks! But I guess it doesn't have any significant good changes versus the 8.0 other than visual changes, and or pretty much things that we won't notice.
A black theme would be good to have, and maybe the possibility to add the Gcam APK with that night mode. (apparently not working well on Pie?)
Thanks again for your long reply.

Black theme is already present on android 8 but you need to use a dark wallpaper, it's always on automatic. On Pie you can set it to dark mode always, but the accent colors are teal and some people don't like them. Dark mode only applies to phone, messaging and quick settings. Gcam apk found in themes and apps works fine on Pie, but ones I tried with Night Shot have issues, although you can use Night Shot you can't use Portrait etc. which makes it unusable so I use the old version, which gets the job done.
I have 10.5 or 11.5 SOT on pie .. sorry for my bad english
I have been on Pie basically since it was released in Indonesia (vpn enforced update), and, for me, the only lowlights are the hidden notifications (as mentioned above) and sligthy worse SOT. On the other hand, I really grew to like the launcher gestures, especially the switch between the last 2 used apps. I do not even mind the always present google search bar, which I mostly use to find and launch applications, rather then swiping up for the app list. The fingerprint reader gesture is a nice addition too (although I preferred the side swipe introduced on pre-December patch version). It really depends on what is important for you. I am enjoying it and would not go back.

Question Android 12 update for OnePlus 9 Pro.

I'm seeing lot's of posts about LE2123, LE2120, LE2125 being upgraded to android 12, with lots of people experiencing issues with unstable phones. Please humour me by answering this simple poll.
I would wait a while before updating. 12 has been a bomb and 11 isn't much better across all device manufacturers. No easy fixes.
Let Mikey try it...
You might get more useful info with a poll asking whether people experienced issues. After following several threads across various sites, I'm convinced that only a small minority have actually experienced "issues" (as in, something legit broken). The other vocal folks are just complaining that a feature was removed or changed and they don't like it. It's no different than every other major release.
Every major version is going to be a bit different from the previous one (that's the whole point of the new version number), and there's always a small risk and a small percentage of people who experience issues (which are almost always resolved by a wipe or clean flash). That's why OP tells you to back up your data before upgrading.
I updated to A12 and I am able to see some differences.
1. I've got 5g, volte and vowifi finally (5g on scnd SIM slot)
2. DPI is messed up in certain apps and options.
3. Battery life is worse (but I've been using stock kernel on A11, so this could make a difference)
4. I like A12s way to grant permissions.
Was it worth update? If you like your phone up to date - yes. If you care about system stability and look, stick with A11 until fixed A12 shows up.
It's not a coincidence that OP suspended A12 update. They see it was not ready.
My phone is OP 9 pro EU version. Did wipe it after update.
OnePlus is pulling its OxygenOS 12 update for the OP 9 and 9 Pro
Hopefully a bug-free release will be out soon

Good thing they pulled it before our OnePlus9Pro forum blew up!
I have the le2123 and I have encountered so many bugs. I did a wipe data and now all seems to make sense.
Now I'm pretty happy with this update. Let's see the battery in the next days.

I think yes? Found this option "high performance option" system always run at max performance.
When enable it an icon in the status bar appears but I think they forgot to change the style of the icon because it's a little oversized.
Apart from that after wipe no more glitched animation, more smoothness in all the operations, allarm clock work, icons and font now are ok and layout too (before i have mismatched dpi in various apps), keyboard now have the button for pull down (before there isn't). The only thing now it's Netflix on platstore, it say device not support.
Rooted with success with no problem, magisk hide works and installed Netflix with apk works too.

General [MIUI13][EEA][Android 12] Anything fixed/broken in the POCO F3 Official EEA Update SKHEUXM 13.0.4.0

Hi, just posting this in order to have more information on this update, the changelog states only an update of the security patch up to February 2022 security patches, nothing else is said.
I've seen a few bugs on 13.0.3.0 such as bubbles of chat cannot be closed when in landscape, you must go in portrait orientation to close the bubble of chat.
But I don't know if anything has changed about Battery Life, I haven't had issues with the 120hz/60hz refresh rate of the screen so far.
I hope this post will help people in better knowing what the upgrade fixes and what it doesn't and also if it introduces new issues or not.
For me it fixes the incredibly laggy notification shade (on 13.0.3 it was like a slideshow, now after the 13.0.4 update is is buttery smooth). I also noticed that apps that support material you / monet now use the wallpaper color. My battery life is the same, no issues on that front.
i have a strange issue, sometime the first 4 cpu cores get stuck at 1800mhz
verified with aida64
happens randomly after long standby or long charging and increase idle power usage significantly. I have to enable and disable ultra battery saver to get them unstuck
I've also had an issue, had to reboot my POCO F3, and the update disappeared... I can't even force it manually, the update is no longer here no matter how much I check, seems like a very useful bug....
Furthermore, I'm probably going to move on to LOS 19 or DivestOS (a more secure focused fork of LOS) when we have an official support out for the POCO F3, then I'll update the firmware inside the recovery I guess

Appeared a couple of times , could not update at that time due to low battery, after charge update dessapeared and cant get it back

I can confirm that. Clearing Updater cache brought the update immediately.
I also did the update, but my cache must have cleaned itself alone somehow, I noticed now that some chat bubbles are even more buggy in landscape for instance.
Material You has been added, support in most apps, like for instance in a browser, your navigation bar has now an orange tint, before it did not, many apps that do support Material You, I guess are affected by this new feature.
I have no idea however where you can configure such.

Question Are apps like Naptime and Servicely relevant anymore in Android 12?

Some people are still arguing about this purely from anecdotal experiences.
That's a very good question and now I want to find this out as well... I've installed Gsam Battery Monitor, Greenify, Servicely and Naptime.
I'm on Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM (Stable). I used to have better battery life (especially on Standby!) when I was still on an AOSP-based Custom ROM (ArrowOS). I have a feeling that the MIUI Always-On-Display causes Android Doze to not activate and that my device is essentially awake the whole time. I'm not sure about this observation, but Settings > Battery > Sort by "Details" tells me that my device is on. The whole time...
I've unrestricted the Battery monitoring apps I've installed, I'll leave AOD enabled, and see for another night if it is actually preventing my phone from going into Doze Sleep. Next night I'll disable AOD, and the night after that I'll enable Extreme Doze-Mode in Naptime and see the behaviour then.
Rant about Xiaomi LOL:
One thing I know for sure is that MIUI is so horribly coded. I don't need to be an OS developer to know this, you can just feel how dirty their custom implementations are. Ranging from their AOD, their Navbar/Gesture Controls, to the Adaptive Refresh rate.
It's like Xiaomi is trying to make the software deliberately feel cheap, because otherwise their phones would be too good, because their hardware is really good for the price. You can't just make a Poco F3 300€. The hardware is insanely good, but the Stock ROM is crap.

I have stop using Greenify (it has not updated for 2 years) and lately have also replaced Naptime and Gsam/AccuBattery for BatteryGuru which combined both the main features (battery monitoring and aggressive Doze function).
I'm on ArrowOS 12.1 now, it seems Android11 gave me the best battery life, A12 was horrible and A12L is bearable.
I think it's time I stop worrying about battery and just replace the damn thing every 3 years lol.

I don't think Battery Life is related to the Android Version you're using, but more which brand's ROM you use. For example Samsungs OneUI seems more trustable than MIUI in terms of Reliability.
But you're likely best served on Clean Vanilla Android, in terms of Battery Life at least.
But also make sure to use a trusted and genuine AOSP ROM. Not one of those, where the Main Dev can't write proper English and uses some obscure Custom Kernel or whatever.. Use one that's known and popular.
I did figure out that MIUI's Always-On-Display kept the CPU awake at all times. I could see it in Settings > Battery, and changing "Ranking" to "Details".
I don't know if that's normal for AOD or if it's MIUI's implementation of AOD, but my god.. AOD shouldn't drain that much. But now my battery life is normal again. ^^

For all practical purposes, the best/definitive experience of Android is obtained on a Samsung device nowadays. So much so that Google released certain new features in some of their apps on Samsung devices ONLY to begin with, not even their own Pixel devices. And Pixel software experience is terrible. And Samsung has innovated so many new features that Google slowly incorporates into stock Android. Samsung Dex is still unparalleled. I personally don't like some aspects of Samsung UI. The squircle icons, the excessively round UI elements with large paddings.. Sadly, Google seems to have incorporated some of this into Android 12's Material You styling. Android 12 looks more like a Samsung One UI skin. That was my FIRST impression when I played around with Material You, i.e. how much it reminded me of Samsung's style.
I agree that Xiaomi's MIUI has a load of flaws in them. The latest is their custom per-app dark mode override has been broken since they released MIUI 13 and before that you had to do some funky things to make it show the list of apps. They never allowed us to see notification history for some strange reason. These are two issues I can think off right away. But otherwise I feel that the software is pretty decent and I had no major issues with it and the battery life with Stock ROM is quite good. I personally don't understand the vehement negativity towards MIUI. Perhaps in the past it was attrocious, but now it is decent. Just like Samsung's One UI. Remember the awful TouchWiz days!? I still have an old tablet with Samsung's touch wiz on it! Bottom line, MIUI is nothing exemplary, but definitely usable and fine, with some minor issues.
In fact, I do like some of the things in MIUI versus stock. I like the fact that the Settings button is immediately visible in the notification shade (like it USED to be on Stock Android) rather than having to swipe again to reveal the quick toggles. I do like some of their built in apps, like the Clock, Calculator (which is very feature rich) and Compass app. So, overall not too shaby.
But I ranted a lot in this thread and none of this is relevant for this topic! So back to relevance...
I do use GSam battery monitor and after a lot of usage I feel like my battery life on Stock MIUI is similar to Arrow OS. I used Arrow OS 11, I used MIUI 12 and 13 and the battery life on all of them was very similar. Arrow OS 11 had some weird bugs with incoming phone call sound and Bluetooth when using Navigation. But Stock MIUI has no such issues. I've slowly decided to stop paying close attention to battery life as it is mostly very good for my usage.

For me the hate for MIUI stems from all the little things.
Notification History & Log being hidden (Can be accessed through an Activity Launcher),
Holding a notification and clicking "More" doesn't bring to you to the specific notification channel,
No Gestures on 3rd Party Launchers,
Recents-Animations broken on 3rd Party Launchers,
Dolby Atmos Sound effect doesn't apply to the first volume step.
Touch Sounds are way too loud, regardless of users volume,
For Google Clock to work properly, you need to disable MIUI Battery Saver,
MIUI Boot Sound is way too loud, also regardless of users volume,
Annoying additional restrictions/permission-manager which cannot be turned off anymore,
Fullscreen Pop-Up with user-unfriendly 10 second timer when trying to change sensitive permissions,
Adaptive Refresh Rate only activating when Screen-brightness is >80%, and only after 2 second delay,
YouTube, Games etc are forced to 60 Hz,
MIUI Camera doesn't respect Default-Gallery setting and always uses MIUI Gallery,
Default Camera cannot be changed,
Monet Colours cannot be customised,
Almost all apps used to get forcibly themed dark (even when the app already had Dark Mode), and you had to individually disable it for all apps. This made text from some apps unreadable.
I do like a few changes Xiaomi has done to Android with MIUI, like bringing back down the Brightness-bar (retarded change from Google), Custom Fonts, the really cool Live Wallpapers, its Dolby Atmos and much more...
I also do like many of their apps like Mi Fitness and the Calc...
But all the little issues give me micro-aggression. It's not a 100% reliable OS in my opinion and I'm still a tiny bit concerned about its Privacy & Tracking.. it's still a chinese company and China is ruled by CCP. The chinese Gov't can control their Tech companies.
Samsungs OneUI does indeed seem like a good and stable experience. But I'm also not a fan of goofy rounded corners and padding.
I bought my Galaxy Note 8 when TouchWiz was still a thing. Then a System update came and upgraded me to OneUI 1.0 and I kinda didn't like it all that much. TouchWiz looked a bit more professional to me, but that's just personal preference.
I'm more into Edgy than Curvy ;D
Yes, Naptime still makes quite a difference with its agressive dove settings and disabling sensors.
Even with how optimized Android 12 is you cannot escape bad programmed third party apps, so use something like IceBox to freeze not often used apps too

I guess these can be frustrating issues for some, but none of this is an issue for me. I tend not to get overly worked up by minor software issues. In fact I do not mind the additional 10 second delay for sensitive permissions. For power users it maybe too annoying, but for ordinary users it is useful to show such warnings to help them avoid making big mistakes and messing up their phones or falling for scams. And anyway, it is just an extra 10 seconds delay. I do admit that blocking access to notification history is annoying but I have learned to live with it. Having the per app dark mode option is genuinely useful as it allows me to force dark mode on only some apps that I use that don't have a dark mode built in, rather than forcing it on all apps via Developer tools. Although this is not working anymore on MIUI 13.

I think the Warning with 10 sec-timer is the most infuriating one. :x
About Notification History, you can download Activity Launcher, search "Notification History" and make a shortcut for that hidden Activity to your Home screen!
That's what I did, because I use Notification Log & Notification History regularly.
However Notification-History on MIUI is a bit broken. You have to enable Light Mode to see the text properly

Thanks a lot for the tip on how to get Notification History! That is very useful! It is stupid that Xiaomi blocks us from accessing this useful information natively and we need to use a third party app to expose this activity, but at least now I can see the history and get some info! Sometimes I get a ping on my phone and I am not sure which notification caused it. Now I can get more clarity! Yay!

Yes, Naptime still makes quite a difference with its agressive dove settings and disabling sensors.
Even with how optimized Android 12 is you cannot escape bad programmed third party apps, so use something like IceBox to freeze not often used apps too

We are now 1 year on, and Naptime + Servicely doesn't matter one bit on new devices. I've been running Android 13 for a while now and have never felt the need to install these two apps.
With Android 14 around the corner, app efficiency will be addressed even further by TARE and the introduction of new background APIs.
I'm still using naptime since a9/10. And see no reason to not use it. Induce deep sleep faster.
BTW, anyone noticed that naptime was removed from play store?

Yup i think Naptime and Servicely do improve my battery life! I can see from the Naptime Doze-logs that my phone goes to Deep Doze faster and the battery life does seem improved.
I just checked, and Naptime seems to be gone from Play Store, tho not Servicely. I think Google are being twats again...

Hi, I could not run Naptime on Oxygen OS without Root. Did you find a solution? It worked fine on OOS11.

Does the app not start for you? You don't need Root, you can grant the permissions via ADB.

First of all thanks for your answer.
Yes, of course, it doesn't start properly, it shuts down quickly. I gave permissions with adb in OOS11 and it was doing its job really well (Naptime). But after I upgraded to OOS 12, I saw that the following command string "adb -d shell pm grant..." did not work and gave an error. I can't get around this problem, have you tried it? Naptime is a really successful app and OOS needs it.

What error?
Enable USB debugging, connect your phone to PC, get the Google SDK Platform Tools, open the folder in Terminal, and type the commands exactly as written.
If you are on MIUI, you also have to enable "USB Debugging (Secure Settings)"

Question ROM Suggestions

Hi everyone, I would like to know if you have suggestions for a Stable ROM for Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G NE. My last experience of Flashing is from 2018 for Samsung S7. Pixel Experience Plus seems nice, but if you guys know of a more stable or a SuperLite version, I would save me some time reading. Thanks a lot..

Yes , the Android 12 versions are quite stable
Haven't tested Android 13 as it's quite recent
as for me , i prefer crdroid. but our device development pretty quite.
For me it's xiaomi.eu rom
There is a bunch of ajustements
For other aosp os's i can't find special features that could make me change
Especially the estetical point i prefer xiaomi.eu customisation
Xiaomi.eu ROMs features (what's not in Global):
Based on China/Global Stable builds
3way reboot menu (in dev settings)
MIUI Contacts and Dialer
Removed ads in MIUI system apps
MIUI Dialer and Messages apps
Steps counter in Assistant screen
More shortcuts on left lockscreen
Wake up gestures for all devices
Option to auto-expand first notification
Notifications priority settings
More edit options in Gallery app
Enabled MiDrive in File Explorer
Google apps support integrated
Removed 5GHz region restrictions
Confirm dials from call logs
Morning report on alarm at morning
More apps supported for AOD notifications
More styles for AOD screen
Raise to wake gesture
AOD notification received animation
Tap fingerprint sensor to wake toggle
Double tap to lock screen
Battery AI scenes
Allowed disabling specific system apps
Importing theme .mtz from zhuti.xiaomi.com via ThemeManager
No useless Chinese bloatware apps
More free RAM due to less background processes
Mi Video, Mi Music, Mi Browser: No any useless Chinese content and ads
No possibility to re-lock bootloader accidentally with flash any xiaomi.eu release
Added real 27 languages translation made by Official MIUI Fansites and MIUI Fans
Added EU T9 dialer support
Added charging sound switch
Optimized GPS settings for EU
Optimized Battery consumption
Optimized RAM consumption
Added GSMalphabet into SMS app options
SafetyNet passed by default without ROOT (Google Pay)
Play Store Certified
Deodexed
Added automated tasks in Security app
Widevine L1 (for supported devices)
And more, and more made by our 10 years MIUI mods experience.
xiaomi.eu rom is impressive

wow mate this is loaded info, thanks.. I'm getting sick of the ads from Xiaomi UI now, and forcing me to use their apps on the UI without an option to uninstall them. maybe I'll check this one out. thanks alot.
Spoiler: Suggetions Detail
for suggestions from others, Is there some other ROM for Mi 11 Lite 5G NE that features bloatware free, and really stable enough? Thanks all..
You are welcome
That's the best thing in xiaomi.eu roms
No ads
I saw also that in the stock rom themes now are payable
Which is not a problem in xiaomi.eu rom because of the import mtz feature in themes app
I love also the timeless aod

It appears Xiaomi.eu ROMs is another Forum, could you link me to your specific ROM Post? Thanks!
is it this one MIUI 14 Stable?
I'm actually choosing between these two, Pixel OS (Stable) and Xiaomi.eu
Pixel OS is quite pulling me because I get to have the Pixel Experience and there are over 171K Views which could mean more users, on the other hand your suggestion, Xiaomi.EU is also something that is already dedicated to my unit, with MIUI that I like better than Samsung's One UI, besides the Bloatware and Ads of course.
Still, I'm doing my research and your inputs are valuable to me because you have already done what I am about to do, once again after several years. I'm still looking on TWRP setups too, seems quite different now. There's this method that I have to register my account to my device through Developer Options, that I don't remember doing on my Samsung S7 before. I'll also have to look on possible Brick incidents, I surely don't want that.
Mny Thanks..
Both PixelOS and Xiaomi.eu are great roms. You should try them both. Plus both roms have zero bloatware/ads.
I am on xiaomi.eu 14.0.8.0 and the experience has been great!
this is the latest build download file for lisa
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-STABLE-RELEASES/MIUIv14/xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11LE_XM11Lite5GNE_V14.0.8.0.TKOCNXM_v14-13.zip/download
you have to unlock your bootloader at first via the program mi flash unlock
follow youtube tutos you have to wait 127 hours i think to could do that and you will loss all your data
so you have to backup your photos and stuff
the decent recovery existing till now is developped by Dkpost3 that we thank by the way
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...overy-3-7_012-new-a13-aosp-beta-test.4557313/
for aosps like pixel os you should know that there is bugs and things that are not working or can stop working in the latest builds, this is not happening with xiaomi,eu roms (you feel like it's official or maybe a better experience)
I'm currently running Paranoid Android Topaz 1 on my phone now. It is pretty good and close to stock Android experience, including AOD and animations. Make my phone feel A LOT faster and smoother than regular xiaomi or xiaomi.eu roms.

There's a massive development happening outside XDA! On Telegram, search for Xiaomi11LiteNEUpdates
Personally I use Pixel OS, but considering the switch to ColtOS. I didn't like Xiaomi.eu because I hate how MIUI handles animations/notifications as well as the inability to use gestures with non-stock Android launchers.

Actually, no. I live in Egypt and all of my banking apps works, albeit without root, obviously.
AND, even if you're rooted, you can use Shamiko to hide root successfully. You can find it here: https://github.com/LSPosed/LSPosed.github.io/releases
