I am sharing fully working touch twrp 2.8.6.0 for ze550kl, z00ld.
I have ported from other device, any command may not be work.
I have tested most commands & those works very well. TWRP for ze550kl Unofficial link is below

if you want to test recovery then use command

The resolutions are different.
ZE550KL is HD 1280x720 - 267dpi
ZE551KL is FullHD 1920x1080 - 401dpi

Since many ZenFone 2 models have a planned upgrade to Android 6, could a phone with an unlocked bootloader be able to root Android 6.0 when it is released for the device? (by booting TWRP and flashing Superuser ZIP file)

I use this ZE551KL custom recovery to flash official xposed framework zip and this work perfect , I also flash Dolby ATMOS and flash normally .
- TWRP recovery by @rajlko work fine
- Flash a zip work fine
- Wipe partitions work fine
- Make a backup work fine
- Root by @rajlko work fine
- Official Xposed work fine
- GravityBox LP work fine

Z00UD is corresponding to Zenfone Selfie model.

use twrp for ze551kl, it should work.

There are only one TRWP.xxxx.img file on the OP - did you use that on your ZE551KL ?
I am not clear about it - all the other files are .zip.
Which file did you flash on your ZE551KL device ?
With Fastboot, correct?
Update: I flashed the TRWP_ZE550kl.IMG file on my ZE551KL - It booted - but the touch screen is not responding at all...
Ideas?

It has been mentioned already, wrong screen resolution. Use the one for ZE551KL. Read the OP again. If it is zipped, then unzip it.

So since i dumped the nougat system and kernel for the J7 16 i share it here for all as dev base it is only a little debloated and deknoxed over assayed and added the build.prop mod for shealt it flash byself supersu so that kernel encryption get disabled. When you use it as base dont forget to give credits It can be used as daily rom too for the one that likes stock rom

@geiti94 its seems that kernel doesn't get flashed at all, because when its boots up i get white bootanimation, but when i reboot to twrp and flash boot.img manually, bootanimation gets back to normal, but it doesnt even boot up. i went back to NEMESIS for now, it not my device sorry i cant do that much testing, thanks for your work buddy

I flash it with the first zip, but don't work in J710MN
WARNING:I‘m not responsible for any consequences at all.This is an OEM rom ported from Redmi phone so it may cause wrong behaviors including partition overwritting and may brick your phone or break hardwares.I strongly recommend you take a completely full backup of your device and know how to recovery firmwares in case of any problems.

Use it at your own risk! (Don't flash it on any P ROMs）The dtbo.img is extracted from the Chinese version of miui 8.13,so you better use version 8.13，Some people use 69hz not smooth，66hz is the best option。（More than 69hz on Android Q is very slow）
-Download the attached zip, unzip it
-Open TWRP
-Backup your dtbo partition
-Select the corresponding dtboxx.img,choose the dtbo partition,the flash it
-Reboot
You should see the changes immediately after the restart. It's way smoother than before.
If you want to go back to default, restore your dtbo partition backup

Tried 75hz mod on EU 9.8.1 but the phone rebooted to fastboot, I had to flash the backup dtbo image to boot into system again.

Hi. I really appreciate your work. One question though, is it really required to be rooted for this mod to work? I am currently at v15 of the MIUI Q, and I have twrp installed, meaning I can flash the file on my phone, but will it work without root as I opted to stay unrooted.
Do any of you who uses 69hz see a contrast or color change? I'm not sure if I'm actually seeing any change or Illusional. Lol

For me OneUI 5.1 is better, right now using X-Rom S21 port and I can say its super stable. MyUI has some bugs like brightness glitch and SIM card, which may affect your daily usage.
