SM-G981U Revert from rooted to stock (unrooted)? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Hi everyone, I have a S20 5G (G981U) That I have bootloader unlocked and rooted. I'm thinking about trading it in for an upgraded model but I want to revert it to stock (unrooted) first and then re-lock the bootloader. How can I safely do this and will I lose all data by unrooting and re-locking the bootloader? Thanks in advance
I'm on One UI version 2.1 and android 10 if that info was needed
edit: i ended up uninstalling magisk, not perfect but it works

Question about the bootloader, LGUP, LG Bridge and OTAs

Hello there!
I have a locked H815 and I've had many issues with it, especially when I upgraded to 6.0 and V20D. I've got it back from repairs and it's been downgraded to Android 5.1.
I saw that it's ok to use LGUP and flash 5.1 and 6.0 firmwares and that doesn't require an unlocked bootloader nor root.
Now, I want to ask if I unlock my bootloader, will I still be able to receive OTA updates? Or updates through LG Bridge?
Also, if I install a custom ROM right now, will I be able to successfully flash the stock firmwares and have the phone as it was just with an unlocked bootloader?
Thanks!

[Q] OTA with unlocked bootloader?

Can I still get an OTA with the bootloader unlocked? I know I have to be unrooted, but I'm getting the phone today, so I'm not sure if I should try for the update before I unlock the bootloader. I always used a custom ROM on my Nexus 6P, so this is new for me.

rooted and bootloader unlocked Phone update to pie

Hi,
I have question so my phone has an unlocked bootloader and is rooted, recently I got the notification for the pie update to Android 9. My question now can I still update without problems or should I unroot and lock my bootloader again?
Do not ever relock your bootloader. Unless you were planning on selling it.
So the update will be no problem? But won't it be noticed in the update process and cause problems?

The bootloader being unlocked had nothing to do with updating. But root might , I'm not sure I don't take OTA updates. Magisk Is a systemless root so it may work fine , I haven't ever tried.
The unlocked bootloader is fine. Worst case scenario you lose your root and have to reroot your phone, which is easy to do. I upgraded from 8 to 9 without issue with an unlocked bootloader, all I had to do was reroot the phone

That is for the chinese s9 one with an unlocked bootloader, technically it should work.
