I have this error on my phone on twrp: Unable to mount storage when I tried to wipe dalvik and cache.
I tried something a few months ago and the same thing happened.
After I fixed it I had to flash my stock rom again and then install twrp again.
Is there any way to fix this without wiping my data/system?
Most forums online say to select data partition then either Repair file system or Change file system but do they remove all data on my phone?

Hey Guys,
just got my new Note 2 yesterday.
Installed TWRP via the Note2 Toolkit, flashed some rom, always worked.
But (I dont know if its bug or my mistake) when I try to wipe data, system, cache and dalvik, my Internal Memory is just empty and formatted. I do NOT try to wipe Media partition or sth like that just the first 4 options on the "Wipe" Screen.
Then I try to install ROM from Internal - but theres only one TWRP Folder left...

I am no expert... And I use TWRP (you can get by downloading goo manager from the market)
I did a system wipe...
Which deletes all contents from your SD including previous back-ups
(so back up everything to a harddrive 1st)
The I used wugfresh to put the stock software back on
Then I flashed my desired ROM (Mmuzzy)

System wipe only wipes the /system partition and doesn't touch the sdcard, for future reference. If your sdcard gets wiped to something must be wrong.
So, my phone just suddenly crashed and rebooted, and got stuck in a boot loop, just showing the Google screen over and over.
I can boot into recovery just fine but I tried clearing the caches and data, and tried a factory reset, but I still have the problem.
For some reason the sdcard won't mount inside recovery, so I can't just flash a new rom either.
Ideas?
after wiping data, system cant mount to data partiton.
1. using nexus root toolkit..
2. push folder( nandroid backup- if any)
3. put the correct path. ( /data/media/0/TWRP/backups/...../folder_name
4. can found this path on recovery folder log
5. restore recovery..
if still got issue.. make another fake nandroid restore to sd.. this time, usually system can mount sd data
sorry for my bad english

So tonight I decided to wipe my tab pro 10.1 wifi (SM-T520) and flash the same ROM I've been using for ages (GraveDs 3.0). I just boot into recovery (TWRP 2.7.0.1) like I always have, start wiping everything except extSD. It hangs during wipe and automatically reboots into a bootloop. I get a mild heartattack and now my tab is bricked. I can still get into recovery but can basically do nothing in it because it can't mount data. At first it couldnt mount cache only, but now it can mount cache but not data.
Is there any manners of ways I can unbrick this? I've never really had any issues before
I've read somewhere that you can use the TWRP Terminal to manually format your partitions, but I wouldn't even know where to begin to find the commands that work with my specific tablet. I've been Googleing all day and can't find anything relevant to SM-T520 I also have no nandroid backup because idiocy.
Any help, anything at all, is greatly appreciated.
Fixed it by flashing newest version of TWRP (v2.8.7.0) using Odin 3.07, then I used the new feature under wipe in TWRP to format my data partition into a different file format then back to the original file format and it was finally mountable and flashable again. Thank the lord for that!
Glad to hear you fixed it quickly
Hello. Yesterday my phone would not open so I tried to start it in recovery mode and try to factory reset. But it didn't let me to do a factory reset and said unable to mount /data and /cache and storage etc. etc.. So I looked at the install tab and saw that internal storage 0mb. Then after a few restarts I was able to wipe data thinking it would help but nothing happened. Can you help? SOrry for bad english.
I had same problem goto recovery Wipe and chose format data
then reboot back to recovery hola that's it
Caution : you will lose all your data by data I mean entire internal storage will be wiped out
