Question Poco F3 logd battery drain and stuck in boot - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

Hi everyone, im here bc i encountered battery issues cause to process called logd. I have a poco f3 by june and i was really satisfied for the duration battery of this phone but then this process started to appear and slowly became stronger and stronger. I thought it would leave alone by itself so i didnt gave it much importance; In the last weeks it became exaggerated as u can see in the photo, it consumes more than the screen. I tried to search on google and some people recommended to reset the phone than other people who reset the phone said that it doesnt go away, so im going to ask to you. There's a way to deactivate this process without rooting or reset? what would you do in this case? I was also thinking about changing rom bc as i saw it is very common on poco's phones.
another problem I encountered si that often when i turn off the phone it gets stuck in the boot with the logo POCO for minutes and minutes.

Unfortunately.. imo the solution is just with unlocking your bootloader.. then install another MIUI version rom..
What MIUI version rom you've used currently..?

yes..i think it's just a software issue..rom bugs
So my advice to fix your problem..you must unlocking your bootloader first, then after you can try flashing another version rom, MIUI official, Xiaomi.EU, or another AOSP cusrom (but this process will also erasing your data, so do a backup your important data first before doing unlock process)

My phone sometimes crashes, how can I rule out a software issue?

Hello everyone,
First of all my problem. Since about 2 weeks I started getting random crashes. The phone is unresponsive and the screen goes from really bright to a greenish/grey color (hard to explain). I googled but I didn't find an answer. If anyone here knows the problem that'd be great but I doubt it since there are so many this that could cause this. So now my question is, how can I be certain it's not an software issue? Further info: My phone is rooted, and I didn't change the ROM. However, I don't actually have root permissions and when I open SuperSU it asks me to update the binary which always fails. I tried to Root it again with the Galaxy Toolkit and it says it's already rooted. Also, Under the google logo is a unlocked lock sign.
Thanks
I would recommend you to try some custom stable ROM, based on 4.1.2. CM, AOKP are among top ones.
better make a backup using recovery, and flash a new ROM. It will give you a fresh start with SU too.
If you dont like using a custom ROM, restore an earlier backup if you already have..

My only expercience with custom roms got me into a boot loop, so I don't prefere that. I actually want a "out-of-the-box" phone without any modifications. Therefore I tried a factory reset but that keeps the root and unlock.

ok, if you want to get the total old look, relock the bootloader, and install official GNex image that comes straight from Google. Hope this sorts the issue out.
Yes, Custom ROMs are a bit time taking to setup in the start, but thats the whole point - a lot of options. I flashed alot of ROMs and luckily, I have had no boot issue still. I think following the proper instructions(which are simply wiping and formatting data, cache, and dalvik) are easily gonna keep the boot loops away.
You can rule out a sw issue by starting fresh.

I'd try fastboot flashing with the MiFlash tool
On the MIUI forum they seem to use this as the best way to get back to stock.
It even has a "clean and lock" option to set the phone back to clean ROM and locked bootloader.
Pretty good actually.
Can grab the fastboot firmwares from en.miui.com and then tool as well.
Guides are easy to find on there as well.
Just extract the fastboot package (.tgz)
Then unpack the file from there (yeah I know twice ergh)
And then point the flash tool to the folder this creates.
Then you should be safe to flash.
That will get you back to clean device then you can install TWRP with fastboot again.
I'd go for the Global Developer ROM it's so much better than Stable.
And here's a tip for free: in developer settings disable "MIUI optimization" and set the memory optimization to "off". Makes it so much smoother and battery lasts longer as tasks aren't killed every 5 mins....
So I flashed a global v8 ROM and that worked. Had to install twrp again. Now when I flashed v9 eu ROM after standard wipe, its just on the boot logo with powered by android.

I think you need to use fastboot.
I think normally it would work but one of your partitions must be messed up from another Rom.
It's rare but it does happen and full flashes are needed.
At least MIUI 8 worked

Tbh it may be a complete waste of time.
If you like pure android feel then you won't like MIUI much.
It was okay but its basically what iOS would be if Apple got their sh*t together and gave users more control.
I think that's what Xiaomi was aiming for really as they copy a lot of Apple design types.
Which for is means good hardware and choice of softwares so its definitely a plus.
BL unlock was a dream

Miui was very good a few days then it started to get bloated so I moved away from it. They get some things right but pure android has improved a lot.
Which rom you rocking now?

LineageOS Nougat.
Not so amazing for visual customisation, but definitely the most stable which means creating mods or adding them isn't as likely to cause issues.
I just want a ROM close to AOSP with all the features of the phone working like fast charging.
AOSPA looks good too.
Just flash again with fastboot ROM and mi-flash tool.
So I just got the OnePlus 5T and wanted to do a speed test comparison for my YouTube channel. I noticed temple run 2 exits. So want to try EU ROM but it gets stuck on bootlogo. Does anyone have a link to the fastboot ROM? Can only find an old one. I can flash the global ROM through with twrp which works fine. Flashing EU ROM fails.
Also will flashing through fastboot lock the bootloader?
I think you should wipe everything and wipe data if you have fbe because it messes up things
So I flashed a stock rom (sagit_global_images_V8.2.2.0.NCAMIEC) with mi flash tool. Unlocked it, installed twrp. Now flashed latest rom eu rom and its stuck on bootlogo still
ARGHHHHHH
Finally worked
After flashing EU ROM, enter fastboot mode and type
fastboot format userdata
(This will format all the data on your phone)
Reboot. Done.

Stuck with Mi Account Protection, Bypss needed.

Hello,
Couple of months back I purchased a Mi Note 5 Pro (4GB/64GB) for my mother. Being a senior citizen, as expected, the phone ended up messed up (softwarely) within a month or so. I tried to clean things but found she fell victim to so much fishing that phone was running dead slow and full of bloatware !!
So went for a factory reset (bone stock MiUi Indian 9.5.xx) to start fresh and there was the surprise. Phone is stuck at setup screen as it is asking for Mi Account credential. My mother is unable to remember what she has done with this Mi Account thing so I am unable to enter any details.
I have tried to do a hard reset but there too the same.
How do I get around this issue ?
Anyway I can clean flash MiUi Firmware to erase this and bring the device back to normal ? I did some Searching and a third party website suggesting a very complicated solution for this same issue, here is the link, not sure if that is the right way to try.
Any help ?
Thanks.
Try formatting internal and then flash a rom.

Question Some question about my Poco F3

Hello everyone, after many years I switched from Huawei to Poco F3 and went back to playing with rooting for a while The first thing I did was wait a week and unlock the boot loader, after which I installed twrp-3 -5-1-20210702 and the latest version of Magisk is installed from recovery. Everything ok with root and recovery on my MIUI global 12.5.6 stable ROM. However, I have some questions:
- I was a long way behind with the TWRP part, so I ask you if I want to try to install a custom rom how I do the backup the current system? I remember backing up boot + system + data, is that enough to roll back in case of problems? I saw many video and read many guides but most are confusing me
- The xiaomi account I don't know at what point became unusable, I can't even take it off the phone, nor can I use it to sync data to the cloud. It's normal? I see that the finddevice process consumes a lot of battery and I wanted to either remove the account or at least make it work, maybe it consumes less.

Random freezes, how to debug?

Hi, I have a redmi note 8.
It's rooted.
The freezes are random, are about 2 minutes long, the display stops, touchscreen doesn't respond nor the buttons (if it's off it won't unlock until the 2 minutes are over). If there is a sound playing, it continues during the "freezing". After that, I get a notification that the launcher is not responding.
This behaviour started since the upgrade to miui 12.5.
Now it's updated to 12.5.3 but the freezing is still there.
I have installed logcat. But I don't don't know what to look for or is there any better way to understand why it's happening and how to solve it. I would like to avoid factory reset, and if there is no other way, I may opt for a custom rom.
(the phone froze again while writing this post, that's becoming painful )
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

you can't know better than them when it comes to their OS
and even if you do ,how would you revert the change made to the kernel or the firmware partition ?

on some devices Miui always push buggy updates to nerf performance and cam ...
-a way to prevent that is to install a stable build and disable updates
-a better way is use a custom rom and get out of sh*tUI hell
Thanks
I had today an important call and it froze again.
I'm going to flash lineageos 18, it seems stable and maintained. I don't need a lot of customisation and I don't have time making huge changes in the phone. I don't play games. I read a lot. I use it for work.

Good luck
So, 10 months later. I've tried lineageos for a short time and I don't remember why I changed to crdroid 8. Now I'm on the latest 8.10, and I'm still having these random freezes.
The last good os was android 10 (miui 12) rooted, and some modifications.
My question is : how can I downgrade to miui without breaking things? From recovery, fastboot? Anything special to do before (apart from backup)?
Thanks for the advice

look for a recovery rom for your device (ginkgo is not the same as willow when it comes to the firmware)
flash the rom using the recovery not flashtool not fastboot
(your problem is maybr a hardware issue)
