Hi all,
my OnePlus 3 still runs on the original firmware, but I am thinking about installing lineageOS 18.1.
Can you recomment it? Especially in terms of battery life?
Several years ago I installed a CyanogenMod on a Google Nexus, but the battery last only half the time of the original firmware. So I went back to the original firmware. Is this better now with lineageOS 18.1 or is this a common problem with alternative firmwares?
Many thanks in advance

Just got an unused v500 . What should I do, leave it with Android 4? Or install ASOP 7.1? Whats best for normal usage? Is it fast enough for the newest Android version? Any disadvantages?
I have v500 since past two years, so far AOSP 7.1 and LineageOS official latest nightly are the best , though I prefer Lineage since AOSP 7.1 has some performance issues.
Thanks I give the Lineage thingy a try then.
Hi everybody,
I'm currently running official LineageOS 14.1 but the battery life isn't that good.
Has someone tried both Resurrection Remix and LineageOS to tell me the difference please ?
I mean I don't want to reinstall everything if it's not better
Thank you
You could try installing RR with dual boot patcher to see it yourself, it's not difficult at all and you can keep lineage untouched. Anyway I don't think RR has a great improvement on battery over lineage. Hope it helped
Hi there. I am on RR 5.8.3 actual. I'm very satisfied with the battery life of the phone. It's lives longer than on original LG Stock Rom. I've tried Imperium Rom too and liked it much but RR based now on 7.1.2 and Imperium just 6.0. So it's you're Decide. But you can't install Imperium with DualBootPatcher cause it comes with the Aroma Installer. That doesn't work with the Patcher.
As far as I can tell, there are no major differences in battery performances between the most common AOSP or CM derived android roms. It will mostly depends on the apps you install.
Thanks everyone
Plz help me choose which rom is best for s4 mini right now i'm looking for a rom which will give my phone smooth performance and better battery life right now i'm using linage 16
plz help me
I used LineageOS 16 and it was pretty decent. It did eat my battery a lot tho. I went back to stock because it didn't let me change my carrier as it didn't find any other networks. So when I had bad reception, it always used a different carrier and I didn't have LTE.
Also happened for me on LineageOS 14.1
I'd recommend going to LineageOS 14.1 as it's the most stable version, and was maintained as an official ROM for a long time.
i got the same problems whit the carrier on LineageOS 16
is it possible to flash 14.1 dirty over a living 16 (whitout wipe)

Nope
I'm relatively new to custom roms, but after reading quite a bit of documentation I managed to flash my Galaxy S5 with Lineage OS 17.1 without issue.
Was looking into flashing my Galaxy tab 8.0 T310 with Lineage, but I'm having difficulties figuring out which version to download, I've heard some people say 14.1 lags, others say it's fine, same thing goes for the more rare Lineage 16 builds.
I guess my question is simply, which version should I try out? What has worked for you?
Now that Lineage OS team have discounted support for this device I was wondering if anyone had the last builds for this device
Lineage OS
17.1
16.0
Thanks

I wouldn't recommend installing Lineage 18.0/18.1 from the links above on the M8
It runs unbearably slow and lags after installing some common apps... some apps take over 30 secs to start and even taking pictures using the standard camera app and answering the phone sometimes takes 5-10 seconds.
I had 17.1 for quite some time on my old M8 and it worked much better then 18.1

Even the 202206 builds from the second link runs slow?
You could post a link of 17.1 though, as we don't find links of it anymore.

Yes, I tried one of the early 18.0 builds about a year ago and it ran also very slow, but at the time thought it was because it was an early build.
The latest build(s) still run slow.
last 17.1 build I could find: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U-0rWPpD8i1yIDtTKqwrzyRioYEoqy7F/view
