I'm relatively new to custom roms, but after reading quite a bit of documentation I managed to flash my Galaxy S5 with Lineage OS 17.1 without issue.
Was looking into flashing my Galaxy tab 8.0 T310 with Lineage, but I'm having difficulties figuring out which version to download, I've heard some people say 14.1 lags, others say it's fine, same thing goes for the more rare Lineage 16 builds.
I guess my question is simply, which version should I try out? What has worked for you?

I got my Z2 Force in late January and instantly unlocked the BL, flashed TWRP and Magisk, updated to Oreo and rooted as well. I am also running the 8.0 Pantheon kernel which runs smoothly so far. I was just wondering if there has been any significant development in roms for our phone. I love the near stock android Lenovo has pushed with the device, but I am really hoping to be able to at least get Lineage OS on the device. What's the biggest hurdle so far? At what stage is the rom at? I'm not asking for an ETA just wanted to see where the development process is at. Thanks guys!
Lineage and AOSIP have unofficial builds. There are some lingering issues before it can be official and released, like needing to fastboot -w and swapping slots, Sprint doesn't have LTE, etc...
im having issues too in the roms i have tried to build it is the whole A/B partition issue and i and having issues with radios. once i have ironed out my bugs i will try to release a rom that is Resurrection remix built but i still will need to make it moto mod compatible and that is a whole different story as i haven't even gotten to that part yet. stay tuned we are working on it for your guys.
WE LOVE THOSE OF YOU DEVELOPING FOR THIS PHONE SO MUCH please don't stop your amazing efforts!
Hi, I'm very new to this community, I want to put Android 9 on my Nexus 5X device. I see there are at least 3-4 different "releases". Which one is more recommended in terms of stability and similarity to the original Android 9?
Also this article shows how to install LineageOS 16, but the official pages for LineageOS don't list Nexus 5X as a supported device. Is it safe to follow that guide?
@n1ckn4me: I found in your quoted text only links to known builds here, no LA16. As always: there's no recommendable ROM, it depends on your preferences. My preferences are lite and googlefree, so I'm happy with GroundZero Pie. I mention it, because its thread is a bit hidden. Read the recent posts of the 4-6 ROMs and try and have fun.

No Lineage OS based on Pie available at the moment.
I tried to install a couple of roms based on Pie but I think no one rom is currently stable and smooth for a daily use.
My nexus has 4gb of ram, so I think no way to use Pie roms with 2gb at the moment.
I just saw a post that a bunch of devices got Android 10 custom ROMs, including the Tab S5e, and I was wondering if there is any chance of a Lineage port coming to the S4.
Hi everyone,
Looking at GitHub, I noticed that a developer had released the necessary software components for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 to run on LineageOS 16 (Android 9).
Here is the link : https://github.com/hkotsch77/android_device_samsung_lt01wifi
Is there a developer who could compile this with the LineageOS 16 sources please to create the ROM ? Not being a developer, I unfortunately can't do it myself
Thanks
To be honest I do not expect that much of a lineage 16 rom is launched in the way that it will run really laggy. If I already use a custom rom with Android 5 is laggy imagine lineage is 16.... However it might be interesting to see it. Maybe it surprises us

LOs 14.1 runs good on SM T310. Gr8nole's ROMs are really good.

Im glad that you have a good experience with los 14. Un my case my experience is a crap because it is laggy as hell. Currently using cyanogenmod 11and goes great.
Does anyone know what the difference between the two is? I stumbled upon kyasu's Github Page: https://github.com/kyasu/android_device_samsung_klimtdcm
There is already a LineageOS 16 out which is newer than the current for the SM-T705 which I have (klimtlte) so I am wondering if I could go along with the one from kyasu despite being klimtdcm....
I'm kinda looking for the same information. I have klimtwifi (T-700), which is still back on 14.1. I know I can't just install the klimtdcm images, but I'm hoping I can at least build my own. I just started getting set up for it this morning, so I don't know how it'll go. If you find out anything, I'd be interested to hear.
Thanks!
klimtdcm = Qualcomm Snapdragon
klimtlte = Samsung Exynos
So no, you can not use nor adapt it to work on you Samsung Exynos device
What about SM-t700 klimtwifi? Anything newer than 14.1 (7.1.2)?
17.1 is available for klimtdcm at :
Download and Install Lineage OS 17.1 for Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (Android 10 Q)
Now you can install Lineage OS 17.1 on Galaxy Tab S 8.4 which is stable enough to use as a daily driver. Finally, Android 10 Q is official

Also....what is the model number of the klimtdm?
