Why sometimes in custom roms like POSP or crDroid google pay is blocked, but in pixel experience witch is also custom rom google pay works normally? I haven't root on any rom mentioned above. Google pay says your phone is rooted or modified. Is there any google pay certificate? or something like that?

Hi everybady
I have Huawei P6, on the setting>>>security>>>>>.Encrypt Phone not exsist. Any idea or solution how to ecrypt the phone ?
Regards.
Saso.
Not supported in original firmware, if you really want to encrypt the phone flash a custom rom like ParanoidAndroid.
Edit:
Jut checked in PA, not available there either...
There are some apps in the Playstore though.

Thanks Arjen.
I have try all play store encrypt-app. Not working well.
Why I need encryption is rules from my company to setup corporate mail - phone must be encrypted.
Big miss from Huawei software team. This phone in my country was almost 400 euros, like samsung s-4.
Regardas.
So I was in China last week, and saw a good offer for a Moto Z Play XT1635-03 dual-SIM (which is not on offer in my home region), bought it - and because Android phones for-sale-in-China are shipped without Google services:
(1) I've been unable to install Google Play Services on this. I've relied on several howtos etc. turned up by Google, but nothing works (will install, but everything that relies on Google Play services crash) - perhaps because what Google turns up is not specific for the Moto Z but other brands, which I've been desperate enough to try, even from potentially dodgy sources e.g. Asus, Xiaomi etc.
(I'd actually embedded links to the sites I'd relied on above but the forum anti-spam protection flagged them so I took them back out)
Does anyone know how it can be done? alternatively -
(2) can someone point me towards credible resources for installing non-China firmwares on a Chinese Moto Z Play? If I muck this up I'm not really in a position to fly back to China to seek warranty service
(3) as a matter of curiosity - I understand there's quite a few different not-exactly-compatible forks of AOSP distributions in China already? Aliyun, MIUI, Flyme OS etc. - does anyone know what "variant" of AOSP Motorola uses for it's sale-in-China phones? I find Google to be very difficult for this since Motorola has a large presence *outside* China so it's harder to find China-model-specific information (particularly in English) for the brand, as opposed to China-only brands e.g. Meizu
try install twrp, and flash google play services
use twrp flash the GAPPS
so,you can find what you need here bbs.ixmoe.com/thread-1273-1-1.html
if just for google service flash the twrp rec and use twrp flash the GAPPS
GAPPS
Hello! First you need unlock bootloader, them install TWRP and root. Then download opengapps.apk from opengapps.org and install. Download gapps and install them from TWRP. And you have google services!
Thanks guys. I actually saw an option for Google Play Services in the included Chinese app store but although that would install, it didn't work (I hadn't thought of checking there; am now worried that it SHOULD have worked but I'd mucked up something downloading and installing apks left and right in my earlier attempts. have tried factory reset but still no go, now also worrying about malware/vulnerabilities argh).
So there is no way to enable Google services WITHOUT rooting the device? I'm not sure if the Moto unlock code generator will work with a Chinese SKU serial number (I'll be finding out, will update)
after falsh gapps they stuck on boot loop this method is also not working
I was almost tempted to buy this Chinese Moto Z Play XT1635-03 that has significantly cheaper selling online price. But after reading a lot from other forums and here.
I ended up purchased the XT1635-02 and it was well worth it. Will surely taking the Z2 play by Christmas for an upgrade of myself.
Just flash retail version - it have GAPPS. RERCN don't work with GAPPS on Nougat. Google play services FC
after flash retail no network signal but when return to retcn rom network work perfectly but no google services done all method seprate modem flashing custom rom but not working
gapps..
i use the china version too...and still confuse how to instal google play store without crash...:silly:
Hello all, I've been trying to get android pay and PayPal to mate for a while. I am running omnirom and magisk, with magisk hide fully working. PayPal app version 6.12 and android pay version 1.23. Wondering if anyone else has been able to get them to work together
From previous experience, not with the robin, but with other devices, if you want android pay or paypal you have to uninstall root, I was never able to get hiding to work and keep the payment options.

Considering it's not working on my father's fully stock LG V10 I don't think it's an issue with root
Hi All, I purchased my Mi 6 like half a year ago, and I asked some questions with regards to this device back then (reference: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-6/help/xiaomi-user-issues-actual-issues-t3703112 ) . I then gave up for some time, but would like to revisit some of my initial issues with the device.
DISCLAIMER: I am not very knowledgable on Xiaomi stuff, this is my first phone from them. I owned it for around six months and I still didn't root it... I just didn't see any _worthy_ rom to be installed. Please bear in mind, that although I am technically savvy and rooted all my previous phones always, I might sound as a total noob here since I didn't follow the scene very much.
At present, I have requested the unlock with Xiaomi, and they granted me the possibility to root the phone, but I haven't done so yet.
I am thus running on stock MIUI 9.5.6.0.(OCAMIFA). The Android is 8.0.0. OPR1.170623.027.
What I would like to achieve, is to get my Mi6 as close to current Pixel devices as possible. I understand that I could purchase the Pixel phone in the first place, but the price tag on them is too high..
(I am mostly interested in having the most recent version of Assistant available on my Xiaomi, and Pixel UI instead of MIUI)
I am unable to install Google Phone.
When I visit google store from PC, I can search for Google Phone, but can't install it. https://i.imgur.com/21fh9hq.png (and the reason why it's not compatible is not being disclosed). If I search google play store from the device itself, the app isn't even listed in the results. If I download any version of the Android Dialer app from APKMirror, and try to install - the installation would start, and then fail with a single message (App not installed https://i.imgur.com/gOolw3H.png ). I tried ARM, ARM64, both in NODPI and other DPIs, also, I tried app versions 19.0... and 20.0... from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/ . Always getting the same error.
What's interesting, is that I was able to install Google Messages, Google Contacts and any other google app without any problems, but I can't install the Phone app from google. I have also been able to install rootles-pixel-launcher from APK
I am left with the phone app from xiaomi, which is not integrated with Google Message / Contacts apps, and vice-versa.
I am looking for the clear up the following doubts:
1. Anyone experienced problem installing the Google Phone ?
2. Any idea how to further debug why I can't install Google Phone ?
3. Are you aware of any up-to-date rom giving me the pixel experience (The Pixel Experience thread has a lot of people askingn for updates - is it dead ?)
4. I start missing my LG Nexus 4, did I purchase the wrong device for what I am trying to achieve with it ? I start getting the feeling that I picked a phone with not enough scene going for it. Or is the scene in China?
Sorry for lengthy post, and appreciate any input.
cheers
You need to flasy Google Framework, then you can use googles apps like "phone"
Install any AOSP based rom, flash Gapps, root with magisk and search the download section for the 'Pixel 2 experience' module. I chose the last launcher, "new custom launcher"
Check if camera2api is enabled. It should be because of the pixel experience module but if it isn't yet download a magisk module for enabling it.
Check the Gcam threads on here for the recommended Gcam APKs and make sure to install Google photos too.
Last step is install the magisk module "Google framework" and installing the phone app etc. from the playstore.
After I followed these steps any AOSP based rom feels very pixel-like and Gcam even makes me think I actually bought one from time to time
Edit: I'm starting to think the pixel experience module actually has the framework included already as I currently don't have the framework module installed and I was able to download the phone app without any problems.
Good luck!
I'm not quite sure what to make of the whole situation, but I would hate to not any important updates on my phone in the future. For Huawei phones it's not that easy to switch to cutom roms, since I would need to buy a bootloader-unlock-key from a semi trustworthy source for ~30€+.... So before I get into any of that, I wanted to make sure, that I would ultimately be able to bypass all the possible restrictions.
Will I be able to run a fully functional Android version on my phone (Huawei P10 Plus) with Playstore and most importantly security updates or will my device still be 'detected' as an unsupported device?
Hey there,
It seems like you can unlock your phone for free given this post: link
I didn't test it so i can't guarantee, sorry!
But to answer your Question: Yes theoretically LineageOS would give you the Security Updates and with Open GApps you would also be able to use the Playstore and everything else from Google.
BUT it looks like there is no Official or even Unofficial LineageOS Build for your phone
The only option i found is this: OpenKirin
But i can't tell you much more about it, sorry
Thanks for the link, will definitely give that a read!
Hm I didn't even think about IF there was a Lineage build for my phone,
I just assumed it would be... But good to know that there are at least
some options to work with, in case they can't work it out with Google!
Thanks!
