Hello all, I've been trying to get android pay and PayPal to mate for a while. I am running omnirom and magisk, with magisk hide fully working. PayPal app version 6.12 and android pay version 1.23. Wondering if anyone else has been able to get them to work together
From previous experience, not with the robin, but with other devices, if you want android pay or paypal you have to uninstall root, I was never able to get hiding to work and keep the payment options.

Considering it's not working on my father's fully stock LG V10 I don't think it's an issue with root

Is there anyway to get android pay working? The app store says the device is incompatible so I am unable to down load. Thank you
I'm also encountering this issue on OmniROM. Perhaps @maxwen can elaborate on this issue and any potential fixes.

If you have Root it won't work (not compatible with any rooted device at present)

I don't think that's the only complicating factor. I thought there was something else having to do with proprietary files that typically aren't included with custom ROMs.

Hi did you ever solve this issue? It is out now in the UK and I can't install it from the Google Play Store.
Has anyone tried rootcloak?
Yeah, no luck. There probably is a solution, but I never had the time to fully investigate.
Sent from my FIND7 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Android Pay installs OK on my Find 7, but I can't add any bank cards as it says "Android Pay can't be used. Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible".
If I run SafetyNet Helper, it says that the CTS Profile Match is false, which is probably why Android Pay won't run on my Find 7.
I am running COS V2.0.8i, and my phone is unrooted.
Does anyone know of a fix for this, or if Android Pay works on Spectrum?
Hi folks!
Disclaimer: First post on here so go easy on me if I break any forum rules.
I'm currently running Marshmallow on my M8 and loving it. I'm running an almost stock rom (can't remember exactly which rom but I believe it was compiled from AOSP) however it was pre-rooted and even when disabling root, Android Pay gives me:
Google is unable to verify that your device or the software running on it is Android compatible

Is Marshmallow and Android Pay a possibility yet or will we require an official signed ROM in order to use the service? I'm contemplating flashing this rom as it is described as being stock. Is it worth a try or am I wasting my time?
If no one is sure, I'll give it a try some time within the next couple of days and report back.
You can easily pass SafetyNet on Lineage OS ether by just unrooting or using magisk this allows you to add cards to Android Pay. However, if you actually try and make a transaction the ui for Android Pay never even pops up. No errors or anything it just never comes up at all. NFC works for normal stuff like pairing devices and Android beam. Lineage OS does not report unlocked bootloader to SafetyNet.
I've heard that maybe it's because it's a userdebug build instead of a release build but I have no way to test this since there are currently only userdebug builds. I've been told that Android Pay works fine on regular cm13. I used it on cos13 on my OnePlus One. So basically, myself and a lot of others want to know why it doesn't work and how to fix it.
If someone can make a user build with release keys I'd love to test that to see if it fixes the issue if it does that means we can just wait for the snapshot build which I'm pretty sure are user release builds.
Over in the OnePlus One specific thread someone said they were able to use Android Pay on the OnePlus 3 with a userdebug build can anyone else confirm this is true? I'm trying to gather information and find out why Android Pay refuses to popup when you use it on a termanal on the OnePlus one even with a release build that passes CTS.
I'm not quite sure what to make of the whole situation, but I would hate to not any important updates on my phone in the future. For Huawei phones it's not that easy to switch to cutom roms, since I would need to buy a bootloader-unlock-key from a semi trustworthy source for ~30€+.... So before I get into any of that, I wanted to make sure, that I would ultimately be able to bypass all the possible restrictions.
Will I be able to run a fully functional Android version on my phone (Huawei P10 Plus) with Playstore and most importantly security updates or will my device still be 'detected' as an unsupported device?
Hey there,
It seems like you can unlock your phone for free given this post: link
I didn't test it so i can't guarantee, sorry!
But to answer your Question: Yes theoretically LineageOS would give you the Security Updates and with Open GApps you would also be able to use the Playstore and everything else from Google.
BUT it looks like there is no Official or even Unofficial LineageOS Build for your phone
The only option i found is this: OpenKirin
But i can't tell you much more about it, sorry
Thanks for the link, will definitely give that a read!
Hm I didn't even think about IF there was a Lineage build for my phone,
I just assumed it would be... But good to know that there are at least
some options to work with, in case they can't work it out with Google!
Thanks!
Why sometimes in custom roms like POSP or crDroid google pay is blocked, but in pixel experience witch is also custom rom google pay works normally? I haven't root on any rom mentioned above. Google pay says your phone is rooted or modified. Is there any google pay certificate? or something like that?
