Hello Everyone,
Before you guys get mad at me, I know there are a lot of threads on how to relock the bootloader, unroot the phone, and factory reset. But I got confused with most of it since there is a lot of different information out there, and most of them are for OOS 10.
So here's my case:
- I have stock OOS 11.0.5.1 rooted with Magisk and bootloader unlocked; HD1907 device.
- I basically want to remove the root, lock the bootloader, and wipe/format my phone clean (just like a brand new phone would be).
- How do I do it without getting my phone bricked??
Someone, please point me in the correct direction on what to do. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Hey there, I have the same issue. This was not working for me as MSM just would not send anything to the phone. Also, after trying other methods I am stuck in fastboot so cannot open EDL. What do I do?
Qualcomm USB 9008 drivers. Phone must be off. Hold buttons as video showed:
If don't want to use msmtool:
"fastboot reboot fastboot" to get into fastbootD and then reflash all partitions

I have a Ginkgo model which I am using with LineageOS 17.1 / TWRP. It is pretty cool.
However I want to return completely to the Global (EU) version of the software, including stock recovery, ROM, relocked bootloader, anything, because I am willing to sell the phone.
Next user will be average user, unlike me, so he/she won't appreciate any modifications.
Tried to search for suggestions but no luck.
Before installing LoS, I installed Xiaomi.EU 12.5 stable from here: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-12-0-12-1-12-2-12-5-stable-release.56191/
Could have some relevance like firmware partition, etc. AFAIK it is Chinese ROM based, will that make any problems when I re-flash EU version?
Found this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-completely-revert-back-to-stock.4088665/
But before trying and possibly bricking the phone, I'd like to hear some encourage from you guys. Phone was EU version originally.
Many thanks.

Thank you so much. It means I must not relock the bootloader? This is pretty sad because then I cannot guarantee 100% factory software. Buyer for my phone will complain. No chance to reach factory software 100%?

it will brick the phone and your only way to fix it is EDL
I am happy to update the thread with good results.
Please note that the following are my personal experience described, I cannot guarantee anything and you might get a bricked phone. Please dont blame me if anything goes wrong!
Originally my phone was Global/EEA, and I had Xiaomi.EU and LineageOS 17.1 also this year. After this, I successfully reverted to complete factory software, including relocking the bootloader. This is necessary if you want to sell your phone to other people because they dont need custom ROMs and will complain.
First, go to this link: https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2
(make sure to follow the 'Fastboot Update' guide on this link!)
On Step 1, click on the link to download the Flash tool.
On Step 2, select your proper device (mine was 'Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Latest EEA Stable Version Fastboot File Download'). I think region (like Chinese, Global/EEA) is hardcoded to the phone, so you cannot flash Global ROM to a Chinese phone, but please fix me. Pay attention what you select here.
Once both files are downloaded, extract them (you can use 7-zip).
Put your phone to fastboot mode.
Connect your phone with USB cable to your Windows machine. Start the flash tool, make sure to run it as admin. AFAIK it will present a dialog to install the necessary drivers which is needed to communicate with the phone in fastboot mode, just click OK for that.
Check if your phone is present in the list. On the left bottom side, click on 'clean all and lock'. Select the extracted directory of the fastboot ROM you downloaded. Press the flash button.
Wait for a few minutes. Your phone will boot up with original MIUI ROM.
You might also check logs. You need to have a ton of fastboot commands and a successful locking at the end.
Important notes: flash chinese ROM for chinese phone, global or eea for european/global phones. You can only relock your bootloader using the proper region.
Good luck anyone reading this!
so ive tried using the msmtool no luck i pretty decent at using phones not the greatest lol if anyone can help please and thank you.

Hi
I downgraded few days ago from OOS11 to OOS10 but I have Bootloader Open but I think that doesn't matter. (If I am wrong correct me) Always possible to open it and then downgrade
Which system exactly you have? Version.
im sorry for the inexpertise, this is literally the first phone i ever had and im not familiar with this at all.
i tried to install LineageOS, i accidentally updated to a12 and the build only supportis a11. my phone is bootlooped and locked. it will exclusively start on bootloader and all boots will go there no matter what. the official OS is wiped.
so all methods require manually putting the files inside the phone and this is not possible on bootloader because pc wont recognize the phone as a device, so you cant transfer files.
in this cases, how do you install A11 on the phone? what can i do to recover access to the phone? THERE IS NO OS RIGHT NOW

Maybe, but MSM will flash all the partitions, you'll loose your data obviusly, but you'll get your phone alive again it will be like you just bought it
Hi there,
Bought this beast of phone like 8 months ago easily but after installing several roms and suffering so many bugs (with cr-droid the camera never worked at 4k 60fps i.e.) and app crashes, now I need something stable 100% so want to go back to stock rom.
However couldn't be able to find any tutorial about that, so I'm a bit confused with this problem. Which are the steps to do that?
Thanks in advance

Iam a little hesitant to use , when I go into read the bat file it states
ECHO # Oxygen OS Flasher For OnePlus 9RT by abhinavgupta371 and HELLBOY017 #
ECHO # updated by Va1d3m and penguinus
I just want to be sure it has been configured for the op9p
I would just use the MSM tool to go back to stock rom. With phone in USB debug in CMD type adb reboot edl when you have your phone plugged in and the MSM tool open. Once MSM tool recognizes the device just press start. After going back to stock rom update to latest firmware

I realize, but it would be nice to quick toggle between diff versions and returning to stock without using MSM, so that's why I am questioning what the android file host says it is versus what the fastboot rom says it is in the .bat file,,,, edit,, answered my own question went from 13.1 back to c_65 and everything looks good, and its asking me to upgrade to f.17 if I want,,,, edit,,,, and just doulble checking that msm still works after using fastboot rom and it does

It went well with the fastboot roms going from 13.1 to c_65 ,then I msm to 11.10 and tried to go back to 13.1 via fastboot rom and it didn't like that,, it soft bricked to bootloader loop so I had to msm again via magisk,,
