Is there any way to hide the APP icon in the drawer? Or group them or change icons with out root ?
Look into Nova launcher
What @spart0n said ^. Nova Launcher (I paid for Nova Launcher Prime ~8+ years ago), and I don't bother trying any other launchers anymore - not even stock.

In addition to what others have said about Nova, also Hyperion and Lawnchair launchers.

With the stock launcher no. With MANY third party launchers yes.
Try a few, find what works for you.

For those of you who have tried both, which one is faster, smoother and more responsive?
Nova seems to be the fastest if you change the scroll and animation speed but unlike Nova, Apex offers some basic swipe gestures without needing to pay for the pro version.

Thanks. I'm willing to shell out $4 for the pro version of either launcher.

Thanks. Btw, if you install a 3rd party launcher, do you lose the "Motion" functions in Touchwiz and the swipe to text or call in contacts?

No... If I am guessing we are thinking same features... Nova prime is really good stuff. You can change theme colors and has tons of swipe features....

Anyone know how to get the stock TouchWiz clock with weather back with Nova?

the latest nova beta is based off the jellybean launcher and is fantastic. on cm10, it's absolutely the fastest and most fluid launcher i've ever used. i bought the pro version and have not regretted it. there are more gesture options than Apex the last time i checked.
i've had both and i find nova to be smoother than apex. too bad i paid for the pro version of apex which i loved on the GS2.
This may have been answered elsewhere, so I apologize if it has.
Do y'all know if icon packs for Apex (specifically the flat icon pack) work in Nova? I'm willing to hand over the $1 for an icon pack, but only if I know it will work with my launcher.

Icons made specifically for Apex won't work...such as the flat icons by mitchs.co
I know this because I have the same set. The only option is to get the ADW or Go Theme set but those aren't as up to date like the Apex one

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll just buy the .zip straight from mitchs.
Gonna have to side with Apex. Best launcher available.

Also, Nova supports icon packs from multiple launchers. I've had zero problems with Lustre.
Nova.... You can theme it too.

It consumes more RAM than Nova (which is the best launcher ever)
And how you make the statusbar transparent when you use 3rd party launcher?:silly:
Apex is my best:good:
15-23 MB on my HOV
Nova Launcher - best launcher from what I used!

Apex. least ram consuming and has an option to make statusbar transparent
Nova is completely lag-free.
I experience some stutters in Apex while scrolling.
Nova is the best for me, Apex comes a close second.
Try Gravitybox.

Currently only launchers only support transparent status bars in 4.4 roms. For lower versions Gravitybox xposed module does it.

Sorry dude.. the only way you change icons is if you use a 3rd party launcher that allows you to change. Check out Google Launcher, Apex and or Nova :good:

If you change the icons on your apps menu and use those shortcuts on your lockscreen.. won't that work? What icons on the lockscreen do you want to change?

Simple, minimal and N.
Matches the mint green robin nicely
Just got the phone yesterday, loving the size! Not done yet but here are 2 screenshots, one is the stock launcher and the other is nova. Nova is plain I know but I hate change and have been using this layout for years.
I really like the stock launcher I wish I could theme the other icons to match. I like the mint green.

Is there any way to get a clean desktop on the Robin without changing launchers? I like to use photos of my family and pets as wallpaper but am stumped by the lack of an app drawer on the stock launcher.

Sorry, I don't know how to do that on the stock launcher.
It's difficult for me to use the stock launcher thoughtfully.
Nova Launcher
Praos Icon Pack
Chronus Forecast with Marshmallow Weather Icons
Nova Search Widget
Sleep as Android Alarm and Sleep Tracking Widget
Each icon on the desktop and dock is a folder matching a folder in the app drawer; each one corresponds to a category of app. A tap opens the first, or most used, app in each folder, and all other apps are available with a swipe.

They're from Sleep as Android. One displays the next alarm time, and the other activates the app's sleep tracking features. All I did to get them there was I enabled widget overlap in Nova Launcher, and then I placed them. You have to kind of finagle the widget sizes to get that spacing, but it's not hard.

Do you have a custom launcher enabled? I know trying to set those options disappear for some reason on a custom launcher, so try using the default launcher if so.

Yeah, nova doesn't display themed icons or grid size, I'm assuming because you can do both of those within the app itself.

I've only ever used nova. It has a plethora of options and even allows you to use a notification count as an icon badge the way apple does instead of just a dot.
My only critique is, when using gestures to go back to the home screen, the icons don't bounce the way the default launcher does.

I was referring to in the past about that. Currently on Android 12 it doesn't, unfortunately.
