Hi, i bought a OnePlus 9 pro NA unlocked version le2125 from Amazon. I unlocked the bootloader to root it but after several of my banking apps refuse to work properly i decided to unroot it. I did the fastboot oem lock and now the phone will not boot because it says it's corrupt. what would be my best course of action to just get the phone back to stock?

I have no experience with this phone, but I feel you are going to EDL mode by doing that.
Stay unlocked and use Magisk tools.

only guides i can find for magisk require tWRP, which means custom roms and that insta bricks these devices.
Hey guys. Can the US unlocked version be rooted? I just order it a few days ago and can't wait to get it. I haven't rooted a phone in a while but I'm not even sure if this variant can be rooted

did you get the T-Mobile version or just regular version from OnePlus?
the T-Mobile variant needs an unlock code. the OnePlus direct version you unlock directly using ADB

** fastboot flash boot magisk-patched_boot.img **
The instructions are already on XDA. Just Search for them
I seem to be having a horrible time rooting my 7T (purchased directly from OnePlus). I've been able to unlock bootloader, and patch an img file via Magisk.
However, the results are either getting the Qualcomm crashdump--or successfully rooting, but breaks the wifi. (Haven't tried inserting the SIM Card yet.)
Already had to use MSM tool a couple of times.
Is there a definitive guide with build versions?

Same.
Did you ever figure it out?
I just install twrp 3.5.10 or Chinese twrp, and flash Magisk.zip (rename magisk.apk to magisk.zip) on top of OOS11
Which root method did you use?
One of these...
Or this
longer, slightly more involved one?
Make sure the new version matches the version already one the phone
OOS version repository

Just use the msm tool to flash your. Phone
Hi.
I bought an HD1900 model myself. It was delivered with the Playstore and therefore under OxygenOS.
Mine was on OxygenOs (India).
To update to a version of OxygenOs global, no need to use the restore tool and unlock the bootloader, to put your Oneplus in Global version.
You just need to download the Rom via this link in Global version: HD65AA Global 10.0.7
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7t/how-to/oneplus-7t-repo-oxygen-os-builds-t3997037
Paste the Zip version of the ROM in the root storage of your phone and in the settings of your phone \ update \ local update, flash the download zip.
the ROM Zip file can also be downloaded with the Oxygen updater application.

I would highly suggest not locking, or re-locking the bootloader(IF you plan on doing any modification). I've seen plenty of people end up in a pickle with locked bootloader and completely bricked phone. My suggestion is to definitely keep it unlocked/unlock it.

Good advice! I managed to brick my Pixel 3aXL by trying to unroot. Thank god it was still under warranty and Google sent me a refurb but I have my 7T now so off to eBay the Pixel goes.

yeah, you can tell them but it doesn't mean they will listen. The guy I was buying 7t from plain refused not to flash and botched it, so I had to MSM the phone anyways.
Does anyone know a way to unlock the bootloader of Oneplus 7t without asking for an unlock code from T-mobile? I was able to get it network unlocked however never rooted it. Even on my oneplus 5t which I'm trying to root(got bootloader unlocked) I can't root because it says "waiting for device" when trying to flash the twrp.img file and that phone is a global variant. It seems like I'm having issues with both for "waiting for any device" through adb.

I unlocked bootloader using "tool all in one". I attached program. Can you show me where to go to for:
1.Flashing global 11 ROM
2. Rooting it
I backed up to One plus switch however after the bootloader got unlocked I can't restore a back up and now I'm hell bent to atleast convert to global rom 11/root lol.

Fastboot flashall files to OOS10 and then use oxygen updater app to install OOS10 (or adb sideload OOS11.zip once installed TWRP3.5.10.img on GitHub). Root can be done by installing magisk canary APK (renamed to zip) in TWRP

I got it rooted and will try to flash to global android 11. I didn't have to do a unlock code token OR follow the tmobile to global flash root. I don't know why but when I clicked unlock bootloader on "TOOL ALL IN ONE" it unlocked the bootloader lol.(Sticky to save time?) I got root by using this method. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...7t-sim-unlocked-without-oneplus-code.4288179/
Do I have to unlock bootloader/root everytime I flash a ROM?
How do you usually do a backup easily so I don't lose stuff next time

I bricked my 7t. It only loads into fastboot mode and MSM downloads are giving me error"disk file missing" or something...each version/site that I try on google. So now I'm using 5t(has root...not caring about updating it...backup phone anyway) while trying to get 7t working again....I would like it to flash to global latest oxygen...but now I have to unbrick somehow. I know for sure the phone isn't booting into an operating system.

Was msm working before? If never worked prior then you need Qualcomm 9008 drivers
Your phone must be completely off to enter msm or edl mode: holding vol+ and vol- together while plugging in usbC--msm program must be running with admin privileges before plugging in your usbC. Once sound is made in win10, then click start

I want to update my phone but it just doesn't work because apparently xiaomi is blocking the update to android 11, I dont get new updates and can't update manually either. I even contacted Xiaomi support and all they said was "you should go to the store where you bought the product." lmao
I know unlocking the bootloader and installing a rom would work, but this way my bank app would be unusable for me, so I can't do it.
Is there any way to flash my device to a new version without unlocking bootloader?

Just unlock bootloader then lock it again by flash fastboot rom (Clean all and lock option). And just a few bank apps that not work for unlocked bootloader.

I've read something that said relocking a global phone breaks it, isn't that right?
Also, my bank app is one of those that doesn't work with unlocked bootloader.

It just got error if you try to lock bootloader with some other regions. Example: China phone with other roms. If you lock bootloader with same varient, it will be like a new phone with updated.
And almost bank apps problem is safetynet pass and root related, not unlocked bootloader. Go search online or find other group to check your bank app work or not. You can also join rmn8p group on Telegram with some useful guide over there.
