OnePlus 3 got black screen and doesn't start - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Dear XDA community,
I have a 5/6y old OnePlus3, a great phone which never had a problem since last week when the screen simply went black.
If I try to turn it one but it doesn't react.
If I charge it, it shows me an alert that the battery is critically low. It charges for a couple of minutes until it automatically tries to start but then it does not pass the OnePlus logo screen and goes black again. I though it might have been a battery problem but, even if I leave it to charge the whole night, it still doesn't turn on.
I manage to enter the fastboot mode but from there, all paths (e.g. restart, start in recovery mode) lead to the black screen again.
When it's in fastboot mode and I plug it to the PC via USB, it is recognized as a connected android device, however I never activate the USB debuggin option (damn me!!!) and when I try to search the phone using 'adb devices' command it's not there...
Does anyone have an idea on how I can access the storage to copy my files? Or is it even possible at this stage?
Thanks everybody in advance for any help!

Hard Brick - Black Screen of Death - OMAP4440

What do i do if phone won't turn on ^_^. It was turning on... but then shutting off mysteriosuly during boot... and during cwm... but now.. even after a battery pull.. and also plugged in... no power...will go to the phone?
What makes no sense was that it working fine.. till I edited an eri.xml file.... all I did was place it into /sdcard and /data .
- Can't get into bootloader
- Can't get into download mode
- Won't even show "charging" screen
- When I plug it into a computer, it does the OMAP4440 disconnect, reconnect shindig.
- Tried different batteries
After like 2 hours of research teh OMAP4440 is somehow related to the black screen of death... I mean just look at this:
device manager "omap4440"
I have no idea what to do............................ ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
I was just about to post that I'm in a similar situation.
I plugged mine in yesterday to charge it up and when I went back to check the phone was dead no life at all.

no one's ever solved omap4440 ? + black screen of death?
So I bricked my GNEX...Then brought it back to life!
IDK if this helps or not
did you get you phone fixed i have the same exact problem and wondering if there is a fix for it
Mine is having similar issues, the led indicator is lighting and it's making noise but no screen lighting at all. I tried hard reboot. Everybody keeps prompting me to use command mode by pressing home, volume up and power button.,the trouble is my phone doesn't light up so I can't see the commands. I sent my first s7 edge back and I'm on the replacement and now it bricked

Charging dead battery

just received my new zl. tried to turn it on to test it out, felt the vibrate but the screen is black. i suspect the battery is dead and needs a good charge. i plugged it into the charger but no lights or indication that it's charging. did the same thing by plugging it into the pc and again nothing. is this normal? do i have to wait a few hours for the battery to charge up? or do i have a lemon ?
i hope to god this is normal. returning this for a warranty will be a major hassle as it was sourced internationally.
alright, i've managed to get the notification light blinking green but nothing shows up on the screen. figured it was off and just charging, i tried to turn it on but nothing happens. so i tried i the volume up + power button trick whilst the light is blinking green and it turns solid blue, but the screen is still off. i believe i'm in fastboot mode now. when i plug it into the pc and repeat the steps, windows recognises the fastboot mode but it can't install drivers for it (i've got pc companion installed). what the hell is going on?
update. plugging it into the pc and doing a light reboot (holding the back off button for 5 secs with 1 vibration) allows the pc to briefly recognise it. it does this for a sec or 2 and disconnects it. and then it will continue doing this on a loop. is this a boot loop? i'm trying to make it so that the phone can stay connected to the pc for a few minutes, enough time for me to flash the rom using flashtool, PCC, or SUS. but because it's connecting and disconnecting, i can't do anything.
so at the moment, this is what i have figured. i'm stuck in a boot loop with a battery that is dead. anyone got any ideas?

The only thing that I could think is that the phone is under warranty which Sony will able to replace it.

[Q] Turning On Xperia M With Broken Power Button?

Hey Guys,
So my Xperia M (C1905) has a broken power button and whenever the battery dies, it's almost impossible to turn back on. I connect it to my laptop via a USB cable, it shows that it's charging but doesn't turn on. I sometimes have to wait 2 hours before it magically just boots on. Sometimes the battery level is full and it still won't turn on
Anyone have the same problem or can help?
Thanks a lot.
I had the same problem with mine (totally my fault like). If you've got fastboot and the fastboot drivers installed on your PC, connect your phone in fastboot mode, open command prompt, type "fastboot reboot" (without quotation marks), and it will turn on. You can do this after about 10-15 mins of it charging from the computer.

Yeah plus install Quickboot ... will be handy when want to reboot your phone when not connected to computer..start it and select reboot. Not a clean solution though :silly: ..XperiaM users have a common problem of broken volume up/down/Power buttons..Broken power button is the worst case one would ever have :crying:
I was facing the same issue could not turn on the phone without power button. What I do is, open the back case use tester flat screwdriver and tap and hold it on the power button. It is a bit hard to explain, but there's positive and negative nodes around a circle thing, when you make a connection bw them with a conductor like small tester it works.

SW3 won't start

Well a few days ago, like 2 weeks ago, I thougt I lost my SW3 (I use it w / o leash because it broke and there's no replacement for the stainless steel one) but actually it was lost on my travel bag xD
After plug in again it started to charge, but when I tried to turn on (after reach 100%), after the sony and SW3 logo, it turns off, like it has a problem at boot. I tried to repair via Xperia Companion and the process was succesful, but the watch just gets stuck on the same SW3 logo.
Now I think is the battery, but I'm really hoping is not, there are any suggestion guys about what could be happening?
Is it stuck at the 4 dots spinning? If So I have the same problem, I have tried a factory reset, updating the rom via push commands etc I have brought a new SWR50 thats working with ADB debugging enabled this time (Didn't do it on the last one) my question hopefully will help the OP as well can I take a complete clone/rom backup from the working watch then push that to the broken watch (Bare in mind no debugging enabled on the broken one) Also to the OP have you held down the power button to get to the fastboot menu and factory reset/recovery settings? if not then you turn off the watch, press and hold the power button until the "insert usb now" shows, you then press the power button quickly twice to access the recovery menus

I forgot about this thread lol
thanks dude!, A couple times it reached the spinning dots, but not always, sometimes it turned off on the SW3 logo before the dots appear, and actually I tried all those things you mentioned, but it didn't work, also I think my watch is (even more) screwed now xD...
Trying to do a second repair on Xperia Companion, the watch got turned off in mid repair, lending obviously on an error, and also losing the ability of do offline charge so once the battery reach 0, is over...
now when I plug in just stays on the SW3 logo, I still can go to connect USB screen and go to the two clicks menu (and stays on), but every time I try a repair, in the middle of the process disconnects and turns off, I don't know exactly why only when is plugged on the repair process it turns off, even pluged in the PC w/o repair stays connected all the time... bad thing is I don't know if is charging or not, so could stop working anytime
Have you tried to push the update through adb recovery mode?

every day I'm more convinced the watch is screwed
If I turn on the watch stays on the SW3 logo all the time (it seems offline charge works after all), I even can go to the "insert USB" screen and stays on all the time, but when I try to push something to the watch, always disconnects, turns off and the process obvioulsy gets interrumpted, I'm losing my hopes xD
I'm using the original charging wire, but tried with other working ones
my sister bought me this smart watch , it came on long enough to program a few this after I charge it and then 10 minutes later it shut off and now it won't come back on or power up , what should I do ?
I have a weird problem with my sw3. When I plugin my watch to a charger nothing shows up but the watch gets heated up. But when I connect it to PC it just keeps turning on and off. Tried various methods available on this site but none of them worked.

Stuck in low battery boot loop

Hello, Huawei gadget friends.
My watch started to go in to a "low power boot loop" a week ago so I left it alone hoping a full drain would restore it back to working condition, but alas not.
So now this is the situation:
1) press button, nothing happens
2) connect to power shows the charging icon (white battery with power sign) and then after a few mins commences a boot loop as follows
3) from the charging icon, then gives the "Device software can't be checked for corruption..." message
4) followed by the red Huawei logo, then a single vibrate and then back to step 3 above
5) removing the watch from the charger stops the boot loop but then shows the low battery icon (white battery with one bar).
In one or two occasions, I saw it boot up to the colorful spinning 4 android wear logo, but did not complete (did not show "Android Wear" before rebooting again.
I have tried getting it to recovery mode screen or fastboot but without success -- I keep getting the second buzz without fail.
When the beta of 1.5 came out, I tried it, but since then, have wiped my mac and don't have the adb/fastboot software anymore. From reading the forums, there is now some new software called TWRP. Please advise what I can do.
Would I be right to suspect that it is some battery problem? Is it beyond help? :crying:
Thanks in advance!
MMM
Edit: I have also left it on for several hours charging (and rebooting constantly), thinking that perhaps it is just low battery -- but no success.
I'm experiencing the same problem, i turned it off yesterday at 17% and connected to the pc this morning to charge. I immediately noticed that it started looping with the white icon and it doesn't turn on, nor boots into download mode.
Have you found any way to restore it?
Mine doesn't show the red HW logo, charged for some hours and nothing.
I noticed that the pc see that there's something connected, but keeps saying "USB not recognized". I don't know what to do, i may open up and disconnect the battery
EDIT: SOLVED, it was just the cable that broke somehow. I soldered a new cable to the circular base but that didn't work, but as soon as i received this i connected to the pc and started pressing the button randomly till it showed the battery logo and started charging
I got this when I plugged it into my laptop. Plugging it into a dedicated USB charger solved my problem - I suspect the power rating on the USB socket wasn't high enough to charge effectively or that the USB socket is faulty in some other way. From what I understand, not all USB sockets are equal in that some are suitable for high-drain devices, some not so much. So trying another USB port on your computer may also help (Unfortunately at the time I was backing up to an external HDD on the other USB so that option wasn't open to me).
guyz, i have tried my method it actually worked on Xperia X Perfomance
When it goes to Bootloop for Drained battery, i just plug the cable and perform activity block method By pressing and holing power and both volume up and down and when it hits the 1st viberation i just simply release the key. (remember dont hold it too much long after 1st single viberation just release the keys ) and your phone will go to block activity mode. charging light will change it colors from red to blue.. after 2 minutes just press power button then you ll get another viberation and your phone will be seen as charged 2% and then it will be normal again...
i think it happens when battery drained and phone is unexpectedly trying to go boot in first place.
thank you
