Question Any way to make long-press power button turn on flashlight? - OnePlus 9 Pro

Most custom ROM's let you turn on the flashlight by holding down the power button for a moment.
And there are some apps on the play store that let you turn on the power button by holding down the volume button.
I don't like the volume-button deal.
Anyone know of a way to make this work via the power button on stock rooted ROM?

Gravity box. Working alright.

Is it possible to use PTT button instead of Power button

I hate the way power button is positioned on Hermes. I have trouble finding it plus each time I try to use it I accidentally slide keyboard open.
Is there any way to use PTT button as power button instead? I might be able to figure out how to use it to power unit down but is it possible to use it to power unit up while other buttons will still be locked?
Making PTT shut 'er down or suspend it is really easy, but I've never seen a way to make it power on with any button besides power.

Remapping the power and optical keys

Basically, my power button is screwed. It is constantly held down, so I cannot lock/unlock my phone and everything else you use the button for. I realised the other day that I don't press the optical sense button down...at all. So I wonder, is it possible to turn that button into my power button? and just disable the power button all together.

[REQUEST] [MOD] screenshot with button combo rather than swipe

wondering if anyone is able to modify the Samsung framework so we can have a hardware button combo (ie any combination of volume, home and power) to save a screenshot, rather than the stock implementation of palm swipe across the screen.
I find the palm swipe only works for me once every couple of tries, and can often scroll the exact content on the screen you are trying to capture.
Alternatively, Any app suggestions which can achieve this would also be helpful...
EDIT SOLVED already possible with stock frame work... Press and hold both power and home simultaneously for about half a second, and screenshot is captured.
Press n hold the power and home button together !
Power + Home presssed with correct sync indeed
Hmmm doesn't work for me on omega 4.1.... ?? I see online that this should work as an option... Any setting to enable it?
Edit.... Ok got it push both bottoms simultaneously and hold for half a second. Perfect thanks all.
I would have preferred if they stuck with the volume down+ power button combo like stock Android 4.0
Are you holding them in? I thought it wasn't working at first, turns out you just need to hold them both for about a second and it'll work.
I do prefer the SE way of having the option in the LongPressPower options but hey, I love my S3 more.

Nice THX
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
Glad I found this. The swipe gesture is frigging useless for anything that scrolls.

[Q] Hold Home button to use Power/Volume functions?

Hello,
I'm using the International GT-N7100 Note II. It's rooted.
I find myself frequently touching the volume rocker or the Power button while using the phone, either when type-tapping or playing games, which gets annoying.
Have there been any mods or workarounds to, say, hold the Home button to access the functions of the volume and power buttons? At least, I can make sure I don't accidentally press those buttons when I do not intend to, and I also can make sure that I'm actually accessing those said functions when I want to, by pressing the Home button.
I prefer a mod or to edit the system files, if possible, rather than install an app for it, like the Volume Locker app.
Thank you for any information.
hey, if im not mistake, you could set 'hold menu button' activites by using 'simplistic control' donation version'
Thank you. But is there a method to directly edit a settings file just to add this behaviour? (i.e. hold the menu button to access the power button and volume rocker, and leave these untouched while in camera mode?) Thanks.

(HELP) Power button broken!

Hello guys!
I need something to power on phone without using a jig. A rom with working button remap to power on phone, or is there anyway to make volume + button to work when phone is turned off, and actually manage to turn it on?
I have done button remap and it only works as long as phone is turned on.

I would recommend you get a rom with volume wake. There are apps on the google play store that, the one I use is call "Button Savior".
This is assuming that you can get the phone to power up to recovery and flash a working rom. Currently using the CM 10.1 and it's working pretty well for me.

Thanks I downloaded Beanstalk because of 4.4.2 version, It included Volume button wake but. I remap the Volume key to turn on and off screen by editing the key layout files in system. I used this guide of reference: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696526
Removed faulty switch and use a paper clip to turn on and off the phone.
Paper clip can be stored inside battery cover.
This phone is from my friend which I fixed for him.
Thanks :good:
