Hi everyone, english is not my first language, so i'll try my best.
I have a very annoying bug on the last miui.eu weekly related to the gcam, the problem is that if i take a picture with the native camera, everything works fine, but if i took a pic with the gcam (because i prefer that quality) then i open my galery, google photos, facebook, wsp, etc. It seems like i have no photos taken with the gcam, if i want to see that pitcures i have to go, manually to DCIM/Camera. Anyone have any idea of what is the solution?
I already tried a few gcams and xml, so that's not the problem here. I am enclosing pictures

See if you have switched on the backup images in google photos and change the destination of the image being captured in Gcam if not changed. Also, which version of Gcam are you using?

HI, thanks for the answer, it doesn't change nothing If I switch or not the backup on Google photos, the pictures don't appear in the native gallery, Google photos or all the apps that you can share pictures, the only way is to look at the file explorer, I already tried to force Google photos to look into DCIM/camera but has no effect.
I used the gcam version of bsg, bsg premiun, mgc, ultra cam and others..., always is the same bug.
This don't occur in miui stock, only in miui.eu android 12 for poco f3.
I'm stuck in miui.eu cause Miflash won't let me downgrade to stock
I hope you answer, thanks for the help.

Hello,
I am looking for an app tha replaces the camera app on CM11. The one in CM11 is buggy and the screen does not show the actual picture it is zoomed in always for some reason. I tried Google Camera (but it doesnt save on SD), I tried Better Camera but I dont like it's design.
I am looking for an app that replaces BOTH video recorder and camera photo shooter, like better camera does.
Thanks.
Usually when I debloat CM11 roms I remove the camera app as well. I use this lightweight ICS Camera...I have attached the apk...you can try that but options and controls take up some screen space....good luck

Why do you think that the cm11 cam is buggy? It functions quite well. Yes, there is this issue that the actual taken picture is bigger than shown on the screen while taking the foto but I remember this was present in earlier versions of cm too. If you have any other issues feel free to post them in the nighties/snapshot bugs & discussion thread or post them to Jira.

Its not buggy. Actually by default the picture size is 8mp (4:3 ratio), so the cm camera in order to fit the preview in the 16:9 screen, it crops the bottom side of the picture. Now, if you change the size to 6mp (16:9 ratio), the photo will have exactly the same size with the preview screen if that's what you want but it'll have lower resolution (6mp instead of 8mp). I attached two photos to see the difference. The first one has 3264x1836 (6mp) resolution while the second has 8mp 3264χ2448 (8mp) resolution.

Hey guys, I'm planning to order the LG G3 from AT&T today but wanted to first check if the photo sphere works. I hear there are issues with the focus (maybe something related to the laser focus). Could someone with an LG G3 install the google camera and give it a try reporting on the quality of the image?
THANK YOU!
Google camera works great. Here is a few pics. Focuses in very quick too. No settings for 4k recording tho. Sorry for the boring pics lol, i would say image quility is just as good from a stock google camera app

Thanks for this. I think it looks okay but this is a partial image. Any way to take the full one? Thanks again.
So how do you view a photosphere on the G3?

Google camera and Google Photos apps are all you need (Photos comes with G+ app, not as a standalone app) I have taken some photosphere pics both in and outdoors without issues, worked well and the results were quite impressive on each. Again, stock gallery app doesn't support this feature.

Whenever I take a photo with the rear camera, all I get is a green picture and nothing else. But taking videos and the front camera work without a problem.

That was a known issue with using an older ROM. I haven't used this .zip, but with just the .apk, since the camera has been updated, the green photos issue was gone for me. Are you using latest RR or LineageOS on @jesec build server? Maybe it's just official LineageOS as I know not every camera update has been merged.

This bug (with green photos on HTC camera) is not present on latest builds of RR.
Will this work on different devices also? In particular on a 32 bit Snapdragon. Also, does it add a pro mode for non -htc devices without editing the entire build.Prop? I have the APK, but it's pretty limited in functionality
would be interesting stock touchwiz camera vs htc aosp camera

I'm sure a lot of people are in the same predicament that I'm in right now, where you're waiting on crDroid or some other ROM to finally support OOS Cam before you make the switch over to custom ROMs. I finally decided to give GCAM a try before I make the switch so I can determine if it's worth losing OOS Cam or not, and, while it would suck to lose 4K120 recording and some other neat OOS Cam features, what is going on with OOS Cam and bright lights?
I decided to try and take some pictures of my computer after upgrading it and I was extremely disappointed with the way the photos came out. It seriously looks like very bright LEDs just completely overwhelm the processing of OOS. I was ready to call the camera hardware itself bad until I gave GCAM a try. The pictures look like I grabbed an entirely new camera, check it out:
