You need stock recovery and bootloader unlock for original rom image flashing, for all other roms, you must follow the instructions without any hickups.

[HELP!!!] Blue and red static after installing any latest custom recovery

So here's the biggest hair pulling dilemma:
The problem started after installing xiaomi.eu rom version 10.3.
I was using crDroid v5.4 (Android 9) Rom in peace. Then after trying the above mentioned rom,
my Orangefox recovery R8.3 was not showing. It was showing red lines. Then i installed various recoveries, everything is exactly like that.
Except TWRP Oreo By FenFern.
Now i'm stuck at MIUI 10 (8.1 Oreo) with the above mentioned (only) working recovery.
N.B: Installing Pie roms with oreo twrp results into distorted lines in the OS after installation.
How do i install the latest TWRP (or OrangeFox) recovery and Android Pie roms?

Hey there,
You need to flash the latest stock miui rom using MIflash tool. i'm guessing the phone is encrypted in which case you wont be able to flash any other custom roms in the recovery too. (Unless you have a SD Card).
Alternatively, if you do have a SD card, then flash Batik recovery.I've it on my xiaomi.eu 10.4 rom and i can confirm that it works.
Let me know if it works for you.
cheers.

stuck in bootloader/recovery, can't flash ROMs.

Hello,
i'm stuck in a particular situation: i can use fastboot and i can flash recoveries but none of them can succesfully flash a rom. i want to go back to the stock Realme UI, my device is RMX1993.
i tried to follow the guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2/how-to/to-stock-rom-howto-t4014773) but the last recovery (rmx1993-sde20-stock_recovery-c05) can't flash neither RMX1993EX_11_OTA_1040_all_tSZ3Sf5A77NS nor RMX1993EX_11_OTA_1050_all_loALrMDyMrbs.
tried to flash trough orangefox or the last twrp that support ozip decription but the result is a "succesful flash" but a phone that does not go over the boot screen and it reboot.
i succesfully installed color os trough the proper old stock recovery and it said the installation was succesfull, but the problem was the same.
someone know where could be the problem?
You need to successfully flash Android 10 (Realme UI 1.0) before you can flash custom Android 10 roms.
Have you tried this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2/help/how-to-flash-q-firmware-based-roms-t4115987
As for why your colorOS back up is not working i'm not quite sure...have you wiped your cache before booting to the color os backup?

Dead phone after trying to install GSI

HI everyone.
My phone (nova 2 plus , bac-l21) had android 8.0 + root (magisk) + TWRP.
I was installing generic system image (GSI) based on android 9 (Link).
After doing all steps in fastboot, phone doesn't start normally and now I have no idea to solve the problem.
I tried to install original android 7 & 8 via HWOTA and also install TWRP to flash custom rom but they doesn't work.
I have no TWRP no OS.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks.
When you get an warning about the bootloader press the volume up for 3 seconds to boot into eRecovery and press the first option and connect to your wifi and download the latest version of the Stock ROM
Try The Openkirin Android 9 GSI it is in the device forum it is based on lineage os 16

[RECOVERY] Honor 7x bricked with TWRP installed and bootloader accessable

I recently tried rooting my phone and got the bootloader unlocked and I have TWRP installed.
But due to some unfortunate actions I can't boot into the OS anymore... After a normal boot it first just shows the message that my device was unlocked and then it boots to the eRecovery page, using the online tool on it just leads to it not finding any package information.
I also tried using the dload service rom files, it installs them but then nothing more happens, the same thing just repeats.
I have an old TWRP backup which includes the vendor_image, vendor, system, cust and kernel. Is there anything I can do with those?
I still have full access to TWRP and fastboot.
Is there anything I can do, to at least get it to a usable state again? It would really suck if the phone would just be paperweight
No worries, you have TWRP so you have full access to all partitions, no need for dload.
It's normal that ROM won't boot along with custom recovery. You probably forgot to disable avb/dm-verity, which is responsible for breaking the boot chain in case of modifications.
You can install GSI or custom ROM, or disable dm-verity to make the phone boot in EMUI.
