Question Can the switch emulator be run? - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Hello, I plan to buy this phone, I really like its camera, but I also use it to play games, my doubt is that on the official page of Egg NS it only mentions which runs on Snapdragon, but doesn't mention other processors, but did someone try to run it with this processor? What was the result?
Sorry for the English, I'm using a translator.

If I had to guess, then I would say fast like a rocket

As far as I know, Googles Pixel 6 can run any app that can be run on other Android 12 phones (Pixel 5, 4 as of now). There might be some compatibility problems, but those should be caused by Android 12 and NOT by the phone (processor) itself.
There are some known compatibility issues with certain third-party devices (hardware), but in terms of software: If it can run on a previous pixel running Android 12, it should run on the P6.

Won't there ever be a Windows Phone 7 Lite ROM?

I was just curious to know this from a long time.
Will there ever be a Lite Windows Phone 7 ROM for phones that are lesser than 1GB processor.
If so, what are some of the things we might have to sacrifice??
Just a question and a no offence to any1...
Thanx...healthy arguments are welcome...
Your beloved X1 or any other non-snapdragon phone doesn't meet requirements, the processor simply isn't capable of running it on instruction level, it requires ARMv7 processor, while all other <Snapdragon are ARMv6 only capable (WM requires ARMv4i).

Thanx al ot for ur reply..I got it...no WinPhone 7 for me....
BUt how about a Lite ROM???
Minus a few things mayb....its the famous game of 'wait and watch'
WP7 IS Lite, the only thing you could remove is all 3D animations and such, which probably would require deep changes in the core which also probably would break compatibility with all WP7 Apps. You would also need to recompile the OS for versions lower than ARMv7, which would require the source code, which only Microsoft have. Microsoft know exactly what they are doing so they wont open support for old crap devices. There is a reason that they broke backwards capability.
TL;DR: Get a new phone instead, there will never be a "lite" ROM of this.

Sigh...
Sad but true. Thanx anyways...its a lil bit like IE9 not being compatible with XP....
Such a ROM would be instantly banned from XBox Live, etc. when you try to connect. Microsoft already has the infrastructure in place to do it. I would be a dumb phone with a cute UI, basically.
Same goes for WP7 ROMs ported to other devices.

ha ha ha ha no never ever ever !!!!! Supporting devices slower than 1ghz was why windows mobile was introuble in the first place they allowed their os on crappy devices!!!!! Now windows phone 7 will never be on crap phones with these new restrictions and i agree with the minimum requirements 100% go microsoft for killing low-end crap windows mobile crashboxes
Also there is no need for Microsoft to develop a Windows Phone 7 Lite for new entry-level handsets. At the moment Windows Phone 7 is used only in high-end handsets, because of the strict hardware-requirements. But with time, this hardware will become cheaper and therefore Windows Phone 7 will be available in entry-level handsets. I guess you can get a WP7 device for 200€ instead of the current 500€ in two year.
What does 'entry level handset' mean?

The "copy" does not even have the Android OS, so of course it
will NOT run any games made for the Samsung M919 phones.
Good luck!

It may have a real Android OS. (Might not, too. There is never any way to tell what your'e getting. )
Remember Android is open source. So a lot of those knock off devices or other cheaply made phones have a real Android OS based no pur AOSP. There isnt' much tweaking to the OS to make it run optimly with the hardware. No custom kernels. No TouchWiz or stuff like that.
But it very well could be legitimate Android.
Probbaly won't run high end graphicly intensive games though.

It depends, I had a chinese note 2 and i ran vice city with no problem. I even like it better than some samsung phones cause its more tough. I got a new chinese S4 and so far its good. Depends on the level of fakeness. I had one which said 2gb ram and 1.6ghz but it turned out to be 700mb ram and 1.2 ghz. So its all up to the phone.

[Q] x86 and app compatibility question

Hey guys, so I'm seriously considering this phone atm but I'm worried about the x86 processor. Last time I checked (granted it was a while ago) x86 support on android wasn't that good, many apps were not optimized so they ran considerably slower on atom SoCs than in ARM, and a few didn't run at all and crashed.
How is the app experience with the ZF2? has anyone noticed ANY slowdowns/crashes and such problems at all?
Thanks

Almost all apps will work fine. Android has officially supported Intel chipsets for awhile now. The only apps that don't work would be older apps (years) that have little developer support. 99% of stuff will work fine and the phone is generally super smooth and fast (consistent with all reviews I've seen). That being said, you may be one of those people that has a niche app that doesn't work properly. For some people those niche apps are deal breakers. But usually there is another app that is supported and that will work fine.

Slowness hasn't been a problem for me. In fact, this phone is considerably faster than my LG G3. The only app I have that just doesn't work is my NDS emulator, Drastic. Other emulators work fine (like pretendo).
I have to admit that 'Android System' and 'WiFi' seem to drag the battery down a little fast, but I'm hoping for an update to fix that.
My drastic works fine. The only app ive ever had problems with (except when flashing custom ROMs) is the dolphin GC/Wii emulator and thats only because they dont support it

Will we see OpenGL ES 3.2?

Ok, so I just ordered a Mi Max 128GB/4GB for Black Friday (from geekbuying) and was wondering if this device can actually support OpenGL ES 3.2, and I am asking if it can support it hardware-wise cause I know it won't work on android <7.0, so anyone know?
Adreno 5xx series GPU's have full support for EGL 3.2 with Android extension along with Vulkan support. So it's expected that they will be supported in Android 7~7.1.
Edit: & Android 7.0.1 is definitely coming (probably early next year in stable update):

Thank you, that's what I was expecting as well but even on Qualcomm's site the specs of the 510 are not clearly stated, also good to know we will in fact get 7.0.1 (although I plan to stay away from MIUI).
This should mean we might even be able to get at least somewhat decent Wii&GC emulation on this device in the future which is pretty exciting for me since there are still a lot of games I bought and never got around to finishing or even playing.

Don't have to high hopes that Dolphine emulator will fly on Adreno 510, the driver's especially sheder compiler are far cry from anything good also hardware capabilities (EGLS 3.2, Testilation engine & Vulkan compatibility) don't count much without proper & good driver's support. On the current Android gaming scene A510 is wonderful but it won't shy with Dolphine (nothing will, best behaviour you will have with New Rogue series [Imagination Technology] but their is no any newer SoC for Android with it we will see how will MTK X30 behave 2Q next year).
Edit: By the way this whose a best deal for it when I searched wanting to buy a full prime one in the mean time I decided not to go with it & instead both a 3/32GB S650 version in land where I live. But search again me by you can find a better deal.

I did not say it would fly but it would have at least somewhat decent performance which for me means playable, especially since most of the games I want to play are for GC not Wii and are RPG games (except perhaps the Sonic Adventure games but I can play the DC version of those if the performance is too bad), the only few Wii games I would like to play would anyway not be practical (if possible at all) because they use the huge mess that the Wiimote is (mainly Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World).
Plus I have seen Snapdragon 808 with the 7.0 dev preview (OpenGL ES 3.2 supported) running Dolphin quite well and even with lower performance that would be enough for me.
Either way I would probably end up starting the games and not finishing them for a long time as I keep doing, start them while traveling and then too busy with College and stuff to finish them and then start an other game (like I did with 7th Dragon 3 on my 3DS, Tales of Eternia for PSP and countless others) but it would still be nice to know I at least have the possibility of playing those games on the go.
Well A518 can all A418 on S808 can & probably a little more in time when drivers support all capabilities along with games/emus. Then that is settled its enough for you & it is a pleasurable experience to play on such a large display.
Best regards.

Funai Philips 4K TV 55PFL5604/F7 - anyone work on these?

The cheap "4K Android TV" series from Walmart, built by Funai but branded as Philips, is extremely affordable and seems to be unlocked. Has anyone had any luck getting these to run alternative firmware (Lineage?) or even stock Android TV?
Mine is extremely buggy (forgets the date/time, causing HBO and other streaming apps to crash, etc) and extremely slow. Many times apps never fully exit, eating up the limited RAM available. Newer apps refuse to install from the Play Store (even though I'm able to force install them by downloading the APK) which tells me there's some sort of poorly-coded identification going on.
I was able to figure out some hardware specs:
It reports the board/device as "freesia" and the hardware/platform as "maxim" - the quad-core ARM Cortex A53 chip runs at 1400mhz (rev r0p4) and it has 1.5GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The built-in graphics report as Mali T820 (ARM) (vulkan integrated gpu 1358996kb) running at 1920x1080.
I've updated it as far as the factory updates will go to Android 9 Pie.
I'm new to doing much with Android but I write software for a living so pretty comfortable hacking this thing if people can give me a few pointers!
Rooting a Funai Philips Android TV
I've got a 65-inch 4K Funai/Philips Android TV. Is this TV rootable or flashable? The OS is so laggy on this device it makes it almost unbearable to use. Opening specific screens takes seconds because of all the quirky animations. I'd much rather...

The above has users who have unlocked fastboot etc, and have achieved root through the OTA firmware
Thanks. Do you know what it would take to go beyond that? I asked on the Lineage subreddit but they basically have rules against talking about anything but official builds, so it's kind of a catch 22.

To be honest? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lineage for TVs seems far fetched,
You’d need to find a person who’d spend their time to build a rom for your TV.
Don’t know much about ROM development
It's already been done for other devices. Here's one for Raspberry Pi https://konstakang.com/devices/rpi4/LineageOS18-ATV/
how does one get/obtain the ota firmware ? I still have an unupdated bootloader unlocked 75 inch model and would like to do some stuff with it. i have been waiting to connect it to the internet because i didn't want to be lock into or out of anything until i was ready.
