I unlocked my bootloader yesterday and tried to install Lineage OS 18.1 custom rom. I was able to install it but I wanted gapps so I rebooted to my recovery. I am confused between the A/B partition system. I accidentally flashed TWRP on A and Lineage Recovery on B. I restored both of them to the original one. How do I install Lineage OS with Gaaps? Should I flash the Lineage OS zip on A (so that it is installed on B), change the slots and flash Gapps?
"fastboot boot <image_name>" just gets stuck on the androidone logo which is why iused "fastboot flash <image_name>.
install lineage os 18.1 and reboot to lineage os recovery from there flash gapps .dont do anything on twrp except flashing lineage os 18.1

Thanks. I figured it eventually. I installed OS on my b-slot and gapps + magisk on my a-slot.

Sorry for my bad english
I had installed CWM custom recovery and I had rooted LG D-722 on android KK.
I downloaded zip file with Lineage OS nightly 14.1 from 2017-03-29 09, version from 2017-04-05 09 didn't work: error status 7.
I flashed the Lineage OS (before that I wiped data and I created backup)
The software was successfuly flashed but I didn't installed gapps (error: You don't have android 6.X.X).
I rebooted my LG and it stuck in boot with a error booting error boot certification verify. I flashed android KK by LG Flash Tool and phone is working.
My question: Where I made a mistake? How install the lineage OS for my phone?
Please help
Hey
First if all you need to be asure that your bootloader can boot android N or v7.
After flashing Lineage, you have to flasht the proper gapps. Before rebooting the device
hello Community, I have unlocked the bootloader on my Xperia, TWRP with fastboot and then the ZIP flashed, AOSP with gapps and magisk. No problems... After some time I wanted to boot into TWRP. but was not there because the Android Recovery was suddenly there, so... new TWRP about fastboot, again AOSP, gapps and magisk flashed! And although there was no error message, but gapps and magisk were not installed, so fullwipe, fastboot, this time CR Rom, micro gapps and magisk flashed, again... only the Rom was installed, so I want to boot in TWRP no way, Android recovery is back!
What am I doing wrong and how can I change it please!
Many Thanks
Tim
Because A / B slot twrp doesn't stay
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xa2/help/twrp-flashing-os-t3933608
how to get into twrp, every time I reboot it goes to oneplus recovery only, I previous installed pixel experience 10 and now installed oxygen os 9.0, but I have to install pixel exp 11
After installing TWRP, immediately reboot to recovery before flashing any thing like ROM etc. You will then boot into TWRP and you can then flash the ROM, Gapps etc
If you are using Magisk, then after flashing TWRP, flash ROM, Gapps and Magisk and then reboot.
After the firmware Lineage 18.0 flew recovery, stupidly stopped opening.Flashing through adb recovery img does not give anything, can someone tell me something? Now I can't restore the TWRP backup or flash the custom firmware and Magisk.
I installed the service firmware via the computer and everything worked out.
In my case i boot on fastboot and flashed twrp img without booting into Lineage OS 18.1 and i could install another rom, Lineage OS 18.1 sadly has the bug that deletes TWRP recovery on rom boot, doesn't matter if you install again TWRP recovery
I reset my Oneplus 8T to factory using MSMDownlad tool. After I installed an Oxygen system update (so, the second slot should have a valid version too), I flashed recovery with LineageOS 19.1 (following the "Installing a custom recovery using fastboot" instructions by Lineage). But rebooting into recovery mode gives me a blank screen. As I had installed LineageOS 18.1 previously, I flashed recovery with LineageOS 18.1 - and here I get the recovery menu.
So, why is Lineage 19.1 recovery mode not working? Did I missed something?
Ok, from another thread: I have to upgrade to OxygenOS 12 first.
