Hi friends. My p615 remote sometimes doesn't respond. Sometimes When I press a single button, it feels like I pressed it 4-5 times. What is the solution?
(tv is new, change battery, factory reset not solution) firmware v650
i have the same problems. No solution, yet
Look like it has moisture on remote pcb ,you need to disassembly remote and clean it with sonax.

my xda2s recently experienced a problem which consists of the volume bar keep going up and up making the 'end' noise repeatedly, and if say the volume bar on the side were to be pressed down, it would go down n go up again...
secondly, the power button is not functioning well, it can turn the phone on by clicking it once (as usual) it can turn the backlight on and off by holding it (as usual) but it wont turn off by pressing it once, or anything...
help please, thank you
doesn't happen with any of my 3... sounds like you've got them there problems.
pYroboy,
let me know if you found the resolution. My problems are similar to yours...
Thanks.
doesnt happen to any of my two BA...
try opening up your unit and clean up the contacts.
I did open it, but could not figure out which contact to clean. Power switch is sooooooo freaking small, I did not figure out what I could clean there, it seems that it is 2x4mm in size soldered for good to the board. Same about volume rocker/switch on the side.
How is it possible to clean them??? I could not figure out what could be cleaned there without detaching the switches from the board.
Does anyone sell these parts? Maybe it would be easier (although not easy also because they are so freaking small) to replace them??
Guys, need advice from you... from the ones who fooled around with similar parts...
Thanks.
try an air brush. or a fast evaporating contact cleaner.
just make sure you apply enough pressure not to blow the sensitive parts away.
*just becareful
OK. Thanks. I'll try that. But where do you people get that stuff. Do they sell it in electronics stores, or I need to look someplace else?
I need to do something anyway, because today I can't turn ON. I used timeout of 1 minute on battery power to power it OFF. But not being able to turn the whole thing ON really put me down....
Is there any program to remap Power On/Off button to Recorder or Media Player buttons on the side? They are all 3 the same switches. If it would be possible, I'd get by using one of those buttons.... Just running out of freaking ideas here....
contact cleaners can be found in your local radioshack(i.e. electronics or computer botique/shops).
regarding the power button i think that is hardwired to be the only powerbutton for the unit. sad to say you cant map it to powerup your BA.

Assuming you have the button lock enabled you can wake it up by receiving a phone call, and then disable the button lock and use any button to wake up/turn on the device. This is not the most elegant solution, but if cleaning fails to fix it then it may be your only option.
I am looking to consolidate my TV remote, keyboard, + FireTV remote to one remote with keyboard + IR controls for my dumb TV power + volume. What is everyone else using? Recommendations?
I've been eyeing the Aerb MX3 and MeLE F10 Deluxe. I'm leaning towards the Aerb because it allows the IR buttons to be used without switching to a TV remote mode. I'm nervous about the air mouse kicking on all the time and selecting things I didn't intend to.
Which one did you get? I just ordered the aerb mx3 as am hoping it works good with stb emulator and am happy that it can turn the tv off and on too.. will do up a review after i get it.
I use a harmony smart keyboard. It can send IR to TV and pairs with FireTV using bluetooth. I also have the basic remote. So I use the basic remote 90% of the time but when I need a keyboard and mouse I use that.
I have the F10 Deluxe and love it to death, but it took some keymap editing to get the thing to stop being more of an annoyance than a help, so if you're not rooted/can't root I really wouldn't bother. If you ARE rooted, however, it's pretty amazing. The keyboard's pretty responsive, the air mouse does what it should and only after I turn it on, and being able to charge it by micro USB is a huge plus in my book. I haven't touched the stock remote in almost two months now and I really don't have any complaints.
For anyone interested in it, here's my modified .kl file for the F10 Deluxe. I fixed the mapping for the home and menu buttons, remapped prev/next track to rewind/fast forward, and removed the F10, F11, and F12 mappings for My Box, STB, and TV respectively. If you don't change those last three mappings then any time you press any of those buttons you will minimize or close your current app, which is a real pain when you just wanted to click the TV button to adjust volume.
I was wondering do any of these remotes work on the fire stick since there's no USB port?
that would be a no. oth of these require a USB dongle..
Also. I got the MX3.. dont get it, it sucks.
air mouse mode turns itself on every time the remote wakes from being dormant.. the OK button does not work for most apps unless mouse mode is turned back off.. super annoying.
the back button has the wrong mapping for the fire tv. acts likes a mouse click. - deal breaker
If you're rooted you can remap the keys and i suppose it would be better, but you will still have the problem of the thing activating mouse mode every time you touch a button after it has been dormant for a bit..
that's a bit discouraging ... this morning I'd been eyeing the bluetooth/IR Aerb IBK02
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M32PBXO/
(and there seem to be a ton of clones of this, under the usual names like FAVI -- all of them cost more, some even 2x as much lolol. always have to wonder which is the original, which has better guts, which has better quality/durability keys & touchpad, etc. etc.)
and there was one other BT/IR one I saw today, but it seemed a bit forgettable and overpriced, so I can't remember the brand/model.

I also get tempted by ones like this BT/IR, every now and then:
http://www.amazon.com/Unisen-USA-iPazzPort-Commander-KP-810-18BR-Programmable/dp/B00AQHXQLC/
again, 7 million different brands and clones and variations: RF, BT, IR, laser pointer...
the one I used to have was a Rii (was that the original company for this style?) - bluetooth+laser, it worked rather well, then after a month or two (hoever long just past the return-period expired) some of the bubble-contact-things on the PCB became permanently crunched and there was no way to recover them.
(I actually still have the thing - the charging circuit still works and the laser still works
but also BIG WARNING: the Rii I had worked great with OUYA - but it never paired once with fireTV (that annoying PIN-code-swap-fail many of us have cursed about so many, many times...)
ended up ordering the Aerb IBK-02. because reasons.
no real review yet, giving it a couple hours to charge. at which point I'll complain more or some junk
but -
k, it now claims charged, which is probably a lie, but I turned it on and played a little -
chiclet keys, I can live with. the board itself is very flexy and not solid. but key presses feel much more durable than those mini Rii/FAVI type tiny ones.
- plus: finally micro-usb! we are out of the mini-usb age!
- minus: 250mah battery. seriously??!? this may require some rocket-surgery, I have 400mah batteries small enough to fit in there.
- super-minus: the IR keys go, in order left-to-right: vol- , chan-, "ok", chan+ , vol+ ...... what in the unholy ever-living ****??!?
- minus: incomprehensible "manual" (plus I literally needed a magnifying glass to read some of it...) eh ok I'll figure it all out eventually.
- PLUS!!!: the bizarre manual mentioned the usual about possibly needing to enter PIN codes to pair, which was not encouraging. BUT! using settings.apk, it paired and connected immediately with no problem. both kbd and touchpad working great. BONANZA!!!
time for lunch, so I'll comment back later about getting the IR keys working with the TV (or not, lol)
---------- Post added at 12:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:48 PM ----------
oh, the other IR keys at the top of the trackpad (the ones I'd mentioned are at the bottom) are:
I/O aka power, "A/T" (input?), MENU, M (??!?)
but s'posedly the thing can simply learn (as apposed to "programming" standard remote codes), so you have, like, a total of 9 buttons to assign any IR function you feel like.
we shall see, but for now, lunch.
yeah... long lunch.
so - the IR key programming is pretty easy, but as the tiny-printed tiny-manual sez, you really do have to get your remote right up next to the IR radiator on the kbd - a couple times the programming failed but I think it was just pilot error me not holding the remote close/aligned enough to the kbd. I managed to program on/off and volume and input - all working well enough now, and that's all I needed.
the IR keys are active / work, even if the main power / BT switch is set to OFF. which is unexpectedly sensible/clever.
Hello there! A friend of mine gave me her Galaxy S4 mini GT-9195 LaFleur (pink one). She was going to throw it away as she dropped it in half a glass of water. Apparently, some water got into the bottom of the phone and got the Home button stuck. As a result, the phone permanently gets the hardware Home key signal and is almost entirely unuseable. I managed to get past the PIN-code screen by entering the PIN while manually holding the Home button, but that's about it.
I also managed to root it with the intention to install CM which features disabling the hardware keys and using on-screen keys, but I wouldn't be able to get to the menu to disable the keys. I've also found other methods, but they involve editing files on the phone itself, which is impossible because of the Home key being pressed about 3x per second.
So my question is: is there a file I could flash to resolve this issue and disable the home button or disable all hardware keys? Or is there maybe a rom written with these keys being disabled by default, and on-screen keys?
Any other help or suggestions are of course also very welcome!!
Thanks!

None that I know of!
The key is probably malfunctioning because there is still moisture in there and it's shorting the switch out (or possibly it's now what is the salts etc left after the water evaporate). In first case put it in an airtight container with with the battery out & cover off & a lot of rice and leave for a week or two. If that doesn't work (better option I think) take the cover off and remove the back panel, take out the power board PCB and clean the contacts of the switch and ensure there is no moisture anywhere in the phone e.g. under chips etc. (also check other switches etc water may have condensed in other areas) (you can buy little phone tool set on ebay etc cheaply). Should then work normally ........:fingers-crossed:......

Thanks, but I've been able to solve it differently. The phone was kept in a airtight box with rice and anti-moisture silica for a few months, but the problem continued.
I noticed that after being locked a few times, SOMETIMES I was able to hold the home button, and then access the menus. I then managed to root it, add soft keys in build.prop and disable the home button in the generic.kl file in \system\usr\keylayout...
Problem solved! It's a functional phone again, without a hardware home button.

Oh right, so you managed to get in to root it etc. :good:
(yes rice doesn't always work as moisture can stay trapped in areas like the buttons contact pads underneath, I think. Even if dried out contaminates can remain that can short switch)
A little question:
I have a Avin Avant 2 with Malaysk rom.
On this model there is NO reset button and this model has touch controls. The worst design ever.
Now for the problem:
Sometimes when I start the ignition of my car from ACC (radio turned on) the battery gives a kind of hickup a d the starts. When that hiclup occurs the radio crashes to a blank screen. The timer for turning off does not work and the radio stays on this screen even with the car completely off. Now because there is no reset switch I have to open up the dashboard, disconnect the radio and reconnect it. A real pain in the a**.
Now for the question:
Is there a way to give an external reset? Via USB, SD or something. Touch buttons cannot reset the device. I tried every combination and hold time. I wish I could just insert an USB with some kind of script which resets the device. I'm thinking of putting a switch between the car battery and radion to turn it off but would like to see a more "invisible" solution.
Thank you for reading this tl;dr post
Hi guys. My tablet's side buttons are almost dead. I have to press too hard on them to do vol-up/vol-down/power. Since I forgot my tab's passcode I can't now hard reset without the buttons functioning properly. Please suggest me an alternative way to reset the gpad.
Thanks <3
