Follow the guide to install Magisk, then install the module "Camera2 API enabler" in Magisk manager.
Reboot (it could need two reboots) and install a GCam from here.
I'm testing Arnova's v8.1 GCam and it seems working for now.

Thanks, this works great for me.
It's worth mentioning that this also enables 4k video recording @ 30 FPS which Xiaomi wouldn't give us. I don't think it uses image stabilization though..

I don't know. Just today I recorded something with GCam 8.1 and it looked very stable compared to my previous Redmi Note 4. Maybe EIS isn't available in 4K, only in FHD (my recording resolution).
BTW, today Arnova released GCam 8.2, but I didn't tested it.

I'm trying with 8.2 and it doesn't work too. But disabling HDR from the upper toolbar fix the crash.
Maybe we should find a GCam more compatible with our device. I tried Arnova because it is known to work well with Redmi Note 5, and RN5 has the same back camera setup as Mi A2 Lite.

The tool automatically unlocks the bootloader, temporarily installs TWRP, installs the Google Camera port, and then re-locks the bootloader without rooting the device at all.

There is no TWRP for daisy at the moment, and a GCam port zip neither. So that tool won't work.
But you can do it manually: after installing Magisk, edit manually the system file to enable Camera2 API and then remove Magisk (by flashing the original boot.img) and uninstall the Magisk Manager app. Then you can download and test what port of GCam works better with daisy.
For me the front cam doesn't work with HDR enhanced (crash), but it does with HDR on.

Non faccio tante foto, quindi non ho testato accuratamente.
Ho indicato la mod di Arnova nei post precedenti perché è quella più compatibile con il Redmi Note 5, che ha in teoria le stesse camere posteriori dell'A2 Lite, e quindi potrebbe essere la più adatta al nostro telefono. Ma è tutto in teoria, in pratica un'altra mod potrebbe essere più compatibile con il nostro telefono.
I miei risultati con la GCam di Arnova: se non funziona l'HDR avanzato usa l'HDR normale, che quello funziona. Sulla camera davanti non funziona nessun HDR, devi toglierlo del tutto.
Secondo me ti conviene andare nella pagina con tutte le mod della GCam e provarle tutte, e vedere quale funziona meglio (e magari condividi con noi i risultati).
I don't take many pictures so I didn't test Arnova's GCam carefully.
I suggested Arnova's GCam because it's the most compatible with Redmi Note 5, that uses the same back sensors as our phone, so it could be the most compatible for Mi A2 Lite also. But it's only a speculation, maybe there is another modded GCam out there that works better with out phone.
My results with Arnova's Gcam: if advanced HDR doesn't work, use normal HDR. On the front camera, don't use HDR at all.
The best thing to do is to try other modded GCam and report your experience here in the forum, so we can find what's the best GCam for daisy.

yes but on BubuXP's phone, doesn't work because not all Xiaomi mi a2 lite phones have the same hardware, my camera for example is different

To be more precise, his camera is ofilm_ov5675_ii and my camera is qtech_ov5675_i
I tested some GCams but I didn't find one that works with HDR+ on the front camera, only HDR at max (and often neither it).
I also found that both those front camera models are used on Redmi 5 plus, so maybe a GCam working with that model should work with daisy too...

OTA updates are possible with Magisk, you just have to be careful not to uninstall magisk.

Rear Camera
Portrait mode works
HDR+ Enhanced works
4K works
1080P 60FPS w/EIS works
Video Autofocus works
Front Camera
HDR+ Works
HDR+ Enhanced DOES NOT WORK
Portrait Mode DOES NOT WORK
1080p 60FPS Works
So almost everything works but the fact that you can't have individual HDR front and rear camera settings sucks. You have to disable HDR Enhanced before taking a selfie.

I read that Open Camera gives 4k video at 30fps without touching anything, I tried it and it works.
I'd like yo know the best rom for the model xt1641 based in oreo and/or pie because all that I found is for xt1642 and if I install roms of xt1642, my xt1641 has issue of overheating

I am using Lineage OS 8.1 latest build, I think it is the best rom for using as it your daily driver, Battery backup is superb (after replacing my battery)

Yes but with the firmware stock, I don't have problems but when I install a custom rom my moto g4 plus overheats a lot and reboot sometimes alone (sorry about my english)

You have to tolerate some kind behavior. Otherwise you can go back to your Stock rom, I am using lineage OS 8.1, I loved it so much even more than the Stock rom. In my case I do not face any issue. Battery backup is superb (after replacing)

Actualmente estoy en el ultimo build de linage 14.1 (nougat) ya q las roms con oreo o pie me dan mucho lag al momento de jugar freefire o pubg
Por eso aun sigo en nougat y no sufro sobrecalentamiento, tal ves ya necesitas cambiar la bateria
"Battery backup is superb" quiere decir que tiene un super buen rendimiento en cuanto a bateria

I'm from Argentina but I write in English. With stock rom I don't have problems. It's only with customs. Can elementalX produce overheating? I installed it with default settings
Does your screen have burn-in problems? I have, and I'm sure my overheating problems are directly related to them.
Before, when the phone got too hot, that was the moment when I started to notice the screen burn-in problems.
Both problems are gone now: if this is your case, you got 3 options:
a- Install any app that lets you tweak the RGB colors (255 is default, I have it at 215 but it can vary)
OR
b- Install Ex Kernel and let it apply the custom RGB config at boot
OR
c- Get a ROM that has these things as a built-in feature.

@Srb_Sarkar Did this OS have issue when you tether WiFi hotspot its fluctuate frequently. When I share WiFi hotspot(Currently I am using Oreo 8.1 December patch stock ROM) from moto g4 plus to my laptop, laptop WiFi not continued it gets fluctuate within 1-3 minutes. I successfully flashed HavocOs the other day and everything was working just fine.
Then i decided to flash Resurrection Remix and everything went bad.
After the flash, the phone booted but the wifi won't connect. Even after restart it won't connect.
The symbol lights up but then it doesn't turn on and i can't find any networks. 4G data and Bluetooth is working but Wifi isn't.
After the custom roms i decided to flash the original recovery and the ozip for RMX1991.
Unfortunately with the same result. Flash is successful, 4G and Bluetooth are working but wifi won't find any networks.
Also tried to format everything and flashed all the parts with Fastboot using this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2/how-to/stock-fastboot-flashable-images-realme-t4054855
But still the same result.
I have run out of options to try...
Anyone has any ideas?

You´re right. RMX 1993 don't has ofp file that works with realme tool. I tried tons of tricks, nothing works. Today I sent my device to sc, they have other ways to flash UI. We´ll see...

Ive been looking for the same thing for about 5 months now and it doesn't seem to exist. There is aosp dialer with call recording in the crdroid thread and it's just been updated for A12 and it does work. I had to install the apk from the zip after flashing it because it didn't show. I wish miui or the Google dialer would do call recording because aosp dialer looks cheesy it's outdated looking but it works. Google dialer in India call records and no one knows how to make that happen in America

as i already said if you dont mind flashing indonasian ROM you will get MIUI dialer instead of Google Phone app.but i dont know which apps needs to replace in Global rom to get MIUI dialer to get working

it's for POCO X3 but CAN work on F3. (Haven't tried myself)
Other easy solution would be, flash Xiaomi.EU rom. But if you want to stick with Global a better solution would be, extract Xiaomi.EU/China/Indonesia rom (same MIUI version as Global) and replace each file in a zip from above thread to respective file and then flash, however more often than not, these files stays same across the devices for same MIUI version. So, X3 zip should work just fine.

that's one of the reasons I went back to the EU weekly from Arrow call recording ,stock camera and dolby atmos, the reason you can't record your call here in the US to many politicians would be indicted , but I love the option especially when you don't have time to write stuff down and your on the go you can record it , so I say give the EU weekly a try and you will never look back and the battery life is great ! if you use LTE for prefered network and not 5G here in the US my 5 G is no faster so no biggie

One question, what happens if instead of inserting the command to flash the recovery with: fastboot flash recovery_ab out/target/product/nx729j/recovery.img You put the command fasboot flash recovery recovery.img , what would happen would stay in the stuck logo, since I have always put twrp in that way and never had problems, maybe with these terminals it is necessary to insert fastboot flash recovery_ab, I would like to know what happens.

What also happens if you add the magic by zip file, that is, the file that causes it to be rooted, without patching the ini_boot file, I see it annoying... and then to unroot it, what happens if you do it from magick? I rotated all my Xiaomi like this, but since I've never had a red magic, I don't know... you always install the twrp and then zip the magisk there and it would rotate the terminal without patching files like the ini_boot that many have problems.

Im assuming the one you used for Xiaomi patched the init_boot and not boot, in which should work in theory. Its always best to extract the init_boot image and patch via the magisk app tho.

The redmagic 8 pro has a separate recovery partition. The Xiaomi device your referring to probably patched the boot.img.
Btw a new recovery build was posted today.

Regarding use"fastboot flash recovery [name of the image here].img , as I have seen an extension of flashing " flash recovery_ab" I would like to know what that extension is
If you dont call any slot to flash, it will flash to the active slot.
Example. "fastboot flash recovery [imagenamehere].img" would flash to my slot b because that is my active slot
So it is not necessary to add the flash recovery_ab extension

No. I only tried other xiaomi terminals with other twrp and without problems, but I have never done it with this terminal, I would like to know what would happen as mentioned above. Like I also bought a 165w charger for this model but for the 16 gb one and it doesn't charge at 165... ocea it's for nothing, according to what they told me the support is for the terminal pro 8 basic version of 12 gb;(

It works. default language is Chinese. Has anyone tried to restore a data backup yet? I tried super.img, that worked. My device is global redmagic 8 pro 16/512gb.

No lag for me on the latest build. I'm running decrypted so everything is working, except data restore. First version did lag because haptics were enabled and Android hal problem.

My data is decrypted (encryption disabled) like I already said.. Which is why it works fine for me ..
