hello, in stock rom you can volume up some app and like chrome and and volume down youtube simultaneously. i want that in a custom rom

Custom MIUI roms has it and I have also seen it in Nusantara rom when I used it, super handy

Hmm, i guess there's isn't an easy way...you have to edit the framework in order to obtain that. Why don't you just upgarade to 2.3? There's plenty of gb roms up and running, stable like stock (e.g. Leedroid 3.0.7)

I am using a custom Gingerbread 2.3 rom (RCMixS) but this modification isn't implemented. I guess I just leave it.

Not sure, but it could work. i'm using modded stock app on miui now and stock's and custom rfs roms could support ext3 designed apps. though there will be much of lag and displaying errors.

anyway, apk from MIUI can work, if it doesn't use modified frameworks with images, sounds etc.

Probably not, but you can use an app called ex Dialer. It has the miui look.

I'm trying to install a custom boot animation, but the sound won't play. Followed the instructions in video below (move bootanimation.zip & bootaudio.mp3 to /system/media). Even tried changing bootaudio to ogg format and using apps to try and install but still no luck. Using stock 6.0.1 MM

I hear you, but some custom ones aren't that bad. I initially soft bricked my phone trying to install supersu and ever since I unbricked my device using an unsigned stock image from this thread, I have not been able to get boot animation sound.
I've tried looking in countless threads, tried installing zips that supposedly have sounds and changed file placement and editing with no luck. Perhaps it's the unsigned stock firmware.
I suppose power up sound is set to on?

Hey everyone, I made a Flashable zip for fixing headphone wired volume keys in custom rom (tested in aex nougat).
If long pressed, it skip current song like in MIUI.
Reboot to recovery and flash it
(It's not a Magisk Module)
Let me know if it work with your custiom
