Hi
I'm stuck on Android 11, is there a way to have root and verity disabled, possibly within the same flash able zip? Couldn't figure out how to disable verity with magisk.

I've been reading on the forums and is there anyway to achieve system root on the n5x because i assume flashing SuperSu in twrp just gives you systemless root, I've read something about a modified boot.img, can anyone clarify this? and is system root possible on 7.0 NRD90S?

Click to collapse
It is possible to have systen root.
You still need to have boot.img that has dm-verity disabled.
There are flags that you can set for SuperSU install that force it to do system install, but i don't recall if it will disable dm-verity in that case. If not, flash the modified kernel that is on the main thread.
Hi
I'm currently running a fully stock (used to be running 6.0, then 5.0, then rooted + twrp then fulmics.... before discovering that safetynet didn't like that) and was wondering if there is a way to get root without having safetynet detecting anything, on either 5.x or 6.x
I've seen suggestions to install TWRP and then flash a systemless supersu or magisk, but in order to install TWRP, I need to be rooted, plus I think (?) having TWRP installed would trigger safetynet, but don't quote me on that.
I've been thinking about whether it's possible to set up root methods like this or this install supersu systemlessly, but I don't understand enough to be able to do that by myself.
edit: bootloader is locked... I'm not sure you can unlock it?
Thanks for any help

I'd like to enable camera2 api, but I need to keep Android Pay working. I thought of installing TWRP and flashing modified build.prop through it without rooting, but I'm not sure if unlocking bootloader won't be enough to trip safety net. Anyone tried this?
Your best move would be to unlock the bootloader (this can fail safetynet), then install magisk for root which you can then use to pass safetynet as it will hide root etc.
Then using root from magisk you will be able to use a root explorer to enable hal3 or alternatively you may use a magisk module to enable it.
I'm using a custom ROM and magisk and am able to use android pay
hello i have a d855 v30n rooted with supersu
now my question is ,can i replace supersu with magisk?
unroot with supersu then flash magisk via twrp? or unroot with supersu then flash stock boot img then flash magisk via twrp.
i want my device to pass safetynet
The second option. You can not install magisk with a modified boot image.
So, either flash a completely stock image, or remove super super, flash stick boot, then flash magisk
Reboot and run magisk to pass safety net
Hello,
I was rooted on MIUI 12 before the 12.5 update and I have recently updated to 12.5 but I had some magisk modules installed which lead to some malfunction post update (non-rooted).
I tried the recommended method by magisk (Patch ROM's boot img and flash it with fastboot) but I keep getting into bootloops, did anyone root post MUI 12.5 and was able to bypass this issue or used a different method which worked?
Thanks in advance
Unfortunately, any modification may lead to bootloop as per now.
Try to downgrade to 12.0.7, install twrp, use something to uninstall magisk module there, and flash 12.5.1 back. Don't boot to system before flashing miui 12.5.1
even just disabling verity of the vbmeta = bootloop
