LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 13, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Reference: *Link*
Follow these steps:
-Download Gapps from here: *Link* (MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64)
-Boot into bootloader: adb reboot bootloader
-Boot the recovery image: fastboot boot recovery.img
-Format data / do a factory reset in recovery

Unless I say the opposite in the update announcement, this ROM can be updated using the dirty flash method.
In order to do so, follow these steps:
-Download the new version of the ROM you are using (microG/vanilla)
-Reboot into recovery: adb reboot recovery
-DO NOT CLICK ON FACTORY RESET / WIPE DATA
-Flash the Zip-File of the new ROM: adb sideload rom.zip
Important: if you are using the vanilla version of the ROM,
you have to re-flash Gapps after updating and before starting LineageOS:
-Reboot into recovery: click advanced --> reboot to recovery
-Go to Apply update again and choose Apply from ADB
-Download Gapps from the link above
-Sideload the Gapps package you just downloaded: adb sideload gapps.zip, when prompted select "install anyway" after the "signature verification" message.
I was waiting for this clean Lineage port, but i need to make sure that everything works before i give it a go. I only have a single phone and i need pretty much eveything to work (NFC, Camera with decent quality, banking apps and AOD).
I will keep my eye on this thread. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
If I install your microG version now, will I be able to dirty flash the version from https://lineage.microg.org/ when it becomes official?

I am using this build as a daily driver myself and so far everything works well.
As for camera quality: the stock LineageOS camera app is not really good but in the microG version of this build you can install GCam without any issues.

In that case formating data (full wipe) would be required. LineageOS has a preinstalled backup tool which makes it easier for you to import your data after a full wipe.
On a side note: it can take a while for this becoming official since LineageOS only accept source-built-kernels. This build here uses the stock prebuilt kernel from OnePlus because OnePlus released buggy kernel sources (NFC broken).
IMO working NFC is important which is why I will start working on making this official once the NFC functionality get's fixed in OnePlus kernel sources.

Hi!
Did you use OpenGApps Pico and followed the instructions in exact order?
It is important to reboot to recovery after installing LineageOS vanilla und then flash GApps.

Thanks for reporting back!
I took the instructions from the official LineageOS wiki and did not test GApps extensively since I only use microG.
I will test this and create an update this week where GApps will work.
In the meantime you can use microG if you want.
It also gives you the ability to use Google stuff.
//EDIT: you can also try BitGApps, those are like OpenGApps Pico but smaller.
I updated the GApps instructions accordingly.
If you want to try those please start over again with the instructions.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I like the idea!
I think this can help with testing while working on making this an official port one day and also help with making this project bigger.
I will see what I can do in this regard when I have the time (set up the group etc.)
Best regards

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

-- bit more friendly stock -> lineage instructions --
1. Unlock the bootloader
- Connect to WiFi network
- Enable OEM Unlock in developer options
- Turn off the tablet
- Boot to download mode manually by plugging in USB and holding all the buttons for few seconds
- Follow instructions on the screen
2. Connect to WiFi network and make sure OEM Unlock in developer options is still checked
3. Flash custom VBMeta image ( https://dl.twrp.me/gts4lvwifi/vbmeta.tar.html ) in Odin ( use AP slot )
4. After flashing VBMeta, boot to stock. It'll likely ask you to wipe data, if so do that
5. Connect to WiFi network and make sure OEM Unlock in developer options is still checked
6. Now you can flash TWRP ( https://dl.twrp.me/gts4lvwifi ) in Odin ( use AP slot once again ), for convenience you can hold volume up while flashing it so that you boot to recovery right after it's flashed
7. Install Lineage × whatever else you need ( gapps, addon-su, ... )
8. Format data
9. Reboot ( make sure to not install TWRP app when TWRP asks you to )
---
Also Odin download for those who can't find it on their own https://build.nethunter.com/samsung-tools/Odin_3.13.1.zip
( sha1sum 1057496afa34bfdf7e77caf0b99207dca77fcb2d )
Builds 20200824+ depend on Android 10 firmware, and thus from now on the recovery will abort the installation if you're still on Android 9 one.
You can update the firmware by flashing following Odin package: https://github.com/luk1337/gts4lv-fw/releases/tag/T720XXS2CUA3.
After the firmware update you should be able to flash newer builds.
Well.. that was faster than expected. Thank you very much for your dedication.
Which gapps are you currently using or recommending? Opengapps doesn't seem to have gapps for 10 yet.
Also any special instructions for flashing when coming from your previous los16 rom?

Apparently https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/beta/ works.
I had the opportunity to test the image yesterday as kind of a preview. After killing the setup wizzard, it worked really great. The switch from LOS 16 to 17 was easy.
Rooting had to be done with magisk (current stable was fine) as Luk told me that superSU probably won't work.
I eventually reverted to LOS 16 mainly because of personal discomfort. No Trebuchet, some settings dialogues not (yet) ported and Titanium Backup did not work (there were no buttons displayed - could not even press the problems? button as it was not there ). I personally decided to wait a bit until I will return to LOS 17 on that device.

Did you perform a full wipe before flashing?
Also how did you 'kill' the setup wizard?
There is an issue with twrp decrypting storage on Los 17. Is this more than likely a twrp issue?
I also can't install apps, probably because no access to SD card.

I started with my device running LOS16 already. If you're coming from stock, you should stick to the instructions for the LOS16 installation in the other thread - just use instead of LOS16 image the LOS17 image.
If you have already LOS16 on the device:
-> Boot to Recovery
-> install LOS 17 image
-> if desired stable Magisk for rooting
-> if desired these openGAPPS (was told to use them - they worked fine)
-> FORMAT data (wipe doesn't do the trick, as it doesn't do it when installing LOS 16)
After facing the problem with the setup wizzard I was told to simply delete it.
Boot to Recovery, mount system partition and open the terminal.
The command is:
rm -rf /system/priv-app/SetupWizard
After that, the wizard is gone and you can boot to system. You'll have to manually go through the settings to set up everything though.
Are there any launchers other than the included that work with the new gesture navigation?

No.
OK, got it set up properly with the format data. Just a couple things. Black theme doesn't work, and immersive mode force crashes settings app when trying to access it. Not complaining, just letting you know.

@LuK1337 Thanks a lot for the build. Time to buy the Tablet.
One Question:
@LuK1337 or anyone, are the corners rounded like that of the stock ROM or are the corners sharp?

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
$ adb reboot bootloader
$ fastboot -w (this will wipe your data)
$ fastboot reboot fastboot
$ fastboot update aicp_hotdog_q-15.0-EXPERIMENTAL-*-gms.zip
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
How to flash updates:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
Use the built-in updater using local zip file.
After you flashed aicp_hotdog_q-15.0-UNOFFICIAL-20200924.zip (or never) you should be able to receive OTA's with the updater like a official build
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

thanks for releasing this beautifull rom for our device! I hope it will become official soon
mate rom is great but there are few things that need to be fixed:
1. qs tile icons are not aligned correctly, they are more positioned on the center, not wide like on stock
2. no 90hz option
3. statusbar header is like brick. need to be transparent like on stock
other than this rom is great keep up the good work!

The tiles use independent calculations. That is why the space care a bit mixed. And that would be a Rom wide change.
Usb access problem can be confirmed. We are looking into it. :good:

This would be awesome if, like lineage 17.1, it didn't have google services or apps installed. Is there any way to get a version of this without the google spyware? Thanks.

Thanks I didn't flash the gapps... I might struggle a bit sometimes... but I'm not THAT stupid lol.
I'm having a real headache with installing this... I've followed the instructions and tried over and over about 10 times now, with slightly differeent variations... but so far I haven't gotten anywhere.
The closest I got was... after installing and getting stuck in a boot loop... I flashed stock OOS to both slots A & B and then when I rebooted... to my surprise... I got the kali nethunter boot logo... it booted, had the kali wall paper... but also had google apps installed and no kali nethunter app... so that made me think that this version had the google apps... but now I realise it was more likely a case that something strange happened where i got half of this rom and half of the stock OOS rom. Never had that happen before.
Following the instructions... this is what I've tried so far...
Boot loader already unlocked
Booted into up to date TWRP
Flashed OOS10 in Both Slots A/B
Flash the lineage-kek-17.1.zip
Rebooted to TWRP for slot change (flashed lineage-kek-17.1.zip again so now flashed in both A and B slots) - also tried same steps again but only flashing to one slot... neither option worked.
didn't install GApps.
Was only coming from stock OSS ROM but tried same steps once formating the data and another time not - neither worked.
Flashed the Nethunter kernel.zip
Flash latest Magisk and wiped delvik cache afterwards.
Rebooted... stuck in boot loop.
Cannot get any further.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've repeated this process over and over and can't seem to get anything to work.
Thank you if anyone can help. I would really love to get this working as when I installed a different ROM and nethunter over the top... everything worked except HID interface wasn't recognised and I've been trying everything to fix that... and I was hoping this ROM might enable me to install nethunter with HID working. Thanks again.

Why flashing ROM & Nethunter in both slots? it is not required, Keep it in your ROM zip slot and make sure when you are flashing Kernel you are in same Slot that will boot up Linegae. And clearing Cache / dalvick is must to boot up after magisk...
I can give you a tip,
First just flash Lineage and reboot to recovery and boot up setup..
Then back to recovery and flash kernel & magisk then clear Dalvick/cache reboot...
All should be set
This A/B slot makes me confused a lot of times but now i learnt it.. you may learn soon

We changed again for Android Q-R with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!

Any chance Android Auto now works with this ROM, and have the APN settings been fixed?
Also, is SafetyNet passing, whether out of the box or with the fix-modules?
Looking forward to this continued development - thank you!
Can i flash dirty?
@Blackjubel, currently installed and testing AICP. There are no more apn problems. Thank you are for the wonderful ROM.

Big thumbs up for everything you could possibly want/need being linked in OP
AICP was a fave ROM on my old device (Note 4)
Is signature spoofing working?
Edit/update:
bummer...
Cant install NikGapps full package with config file:

What the hay?
Never had NikGapps fail before...

All good, i only use the full gapps packages to avoid downloading from the net every few days when i test another ROM, so i refuse to use nano versions etc - just me, this is the first one thats ever given an error when flashing NikGapps full...weird...
I'll try again in the future.

I was using the version without gapps, i will always use the version of a ROM without gapps, that should choice be left to the user...i dislike gapps baked into ROM's because as i always point out:
1) They usually are horribly out of date
2) They use up data allowance...after i flash the ROM with the outdated gapps included, i then have to still update them from the Play Store....
Be nice if when devs bake in gapps they included up to date ones most use out of date open gapps provided gapps im guessing, the worst....
I get uber stabby when people waste my data allowance
Gapps free for me
I download the latest gapps build (prefer NikGapps these days, Open GApps is an outdated joke) once a month, and reuse across ROM's for testing
It makes no sense why NikGapps wouldnt flash on the ROM last night
I'll try again at another date, thanks
Coming from A10, flash stock 11 first? Or will it do it like Lineage does.... Thx in advance

There was the same problem with the omni package. I rebooted to another slot and flashed the omni package again without error. Or try to resize the system in the mount item.

I always do a reboot of bootloader and fastboot back to TWRP after ROM flash....so its changes slots ....
And the system had plenty of space, as above post shows

With the rise of Big Tech and the encroachment of government on our lives, I felt more of a desire to move away from Google and the like. OnePlus 5/5T was built with microG and LineageOS source and is fully functional.
What it is. It's LineageOS with all of Google's closed-source binaries removed and replaced with microG. I.e. no Play services or GAPPS. UnifiedNLP is used as the networking location provider instead of Google's NLP. Aurora Store and Aurora Droid is installed by default and provides an alternative app store. However, with the Aurora Store, you cannot install all Google Play Store apps such as buy apps. F-Droid can be installed through Aurora Droid if you need it .
Other information Google Play Store Alternative If you want to have full access to normal Android Play Store apps, After opening Aurora Store, select the appropriate option. usually option number 1 is the most commonly used with this ROM, unless changed by the user. After setup, you will have access to all apps as usual. Some apps require Play Services and cannot be used.
After installation - Open the microG app --> self-check sections should be successful. Location Services - By default, LocalGsmNlpBackend, which uses the NominatimGeocoderBackend, and NominatimNlpBackend, which uses Mapquest's Noninatim service, are disabled. Open the microG app --> location modules and enable the modules you want. Then restart the device.
It is strongly recommended not to install GApps as this ROM contains a replacement for them.
What everything works

What does not work

Important :Make a full backup of the system via twrp so that you can get back to your old version.
Clean flash
Installation Clean Via twrp
- Back up your data (recommended)
- Remove custom encryption pins/passwords (recommended)
- Boot into twrp go to Delete /Advanced - Wipe system / data / cache / vendor (do not format data - this will erase the internal memory) .
- back to the main menu go to install and find the location where you saved the rom.
- select the rom and then confirm reboot
Dirty flash (Update)
Dirty Flash (OTA) update can be downloaded from lineageos updates and installed on your device.
If it is not possible to install the update automatically, or if you want to install it manually, do the following,
select install in twrp/ parent folder/data/lineageos_updates select the rom install it and restart everything else you want to install.
how to boot into twrp from the system:
settings>system>keys> down to menu point on/off menu
then activate Advanced reboot.
now press the power button right , select reboot a second menu appears,
there you can select Recovery from and it will automatically boot into twrp.

Hi, how can I install normal gapps with this rom? Or can I?
For e.g: uninstalling microg and installing the normal one.
Colleague but you have already asked in the Telegram group and you were told use the default ROM .
if you use my ROM and install gapps are removed microg .
and next update the gapps are overwritten and microg is back .
so it makes no sense what you are trying to do.
even if it should work there will be 90% bootloop

Yes but I think you are fetching los sources more frequently with new builds?
@metahex12
No. on the contrary I do not proceed as linaeageos does.
I will only update if there are changes from the Dev. Standard Rom otherwise I only update every two to three weeks or only monthly if the security pacht is available.
Why should I waste resources and release a new update every week like lineageos does ?
Check my OTA download page to see that I don't release updates every week.

There's a annoying seedvault back up, how do we stop it?
In App Settings force the Seedvault to quit and clear cache and data.
