[Q] HELP!!!

i have a unlocked & rooted galaxy nexus....i flash the rom open kang build 22 & flash the gapps 4.0.4 after i rebooted. i stocked in bootanimation & hang up & appear the google logo, always like that...cannot start.....HELP please....
Wipe and reflash the ROM then Gapps, then boot.
Did you do a full wipe. Wipe factory/data, cache partition and in the advanced menu wipe dalvik cache. Then flash rom and gapps
After you flash the rom, wipe data, cache, dalvik and flash gapps. You cant just flash rom than the 4.0.4 gapps you will get the bootloop.
i already do full wipe & still the same problem?
1. Wipe data
2. Wipe cache
3. Wipe dalvik cache
4. Flash ROM
5. Flash Gapps
6. Reboot

I always flash like that never have a problem. Never reflash after flash. Try to flash another ROM OP to see if it was the ROM or not.

Can you flash a 4.1.2 [jb] rom from a 4.2.2 [jb] rom?

I am looking forward to flashing MIUI V5 on my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3. It's a 4.1.2 ROM. I am currently using JellyBAM ROM V7.7.0 which is a 4.2.2 ROM. Can I flash MIUI V5 from JellyBAM? Will my phone end up toasted?
-Thanks for any help!
yes you can. when transitioning android versions you must do a full wipe including system and data before flashing. be sure you've made a backup and have all your personal data saved to your micro sd card, computer or both. from the guide:
In CWM:
Select Wipe data/factory reset
Select Wipe Cache
Select Advanced and Wipe Dalvik Cache
Select Mounts and Storage and format /system
If you are transitioning from 4.1 to 4.2 or 4.2 to 4.1, you must also format /data. You will lose all personal data so back it up first.
In TWRP:
Select Wipe
Select Factory Reset and wipe
Select System and wipe
If you are transitioning from 4.1 to 4.2 or 4.2 to 4.1, you must also select Data and wipe. You will lose all personal data so back it up first.

[Q] optimus nexus me v5 [cm7 port] boot loop problem.

since im new to xda i can not post on the main thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2442977&page=12
so i had to create this one as a question, cause i have a problem installing this rom, i downloaded both the kernel and the rom from the main thread, i first flashed to stock rom with odin, then i followed every step to install the kernel and after the rom, but im stuck in boot loop and im kinda angry cause it seems like im the only one with that problem.
i tried to install the rom using white's 1.33 kernel instead of percy's kernel ( the one provided in the main thread) and then flashing the rom, and it kinda worked, because i didnt go in to boot loop, but neither wifi or bluetooth werent working.
pls help me!!! i really want to try this rom!
1.first flash stock ddlk2
2.download the rom and flash it after :
(i) formatting system,data and cache
(ii) mounting all partitions
When done flashing, wipe data and reboot

Try this method
#1-Flash stock rom using odin
#2-Go to cwm
#3-Mount all partitions
#4-Install CyanogenMod#2 kernel
#5-Back and go to Advance then REBOOT RECOVERY
#6-You are on cwm now and the fonts are small
#7-Go to mounts and Format system, data, cache
#8-Dont press back -Mount all partitions
#9-Install zip from sd card-choose zip then choose The Rom
#10-When it is done flashing -Wipe Data - tHEN REBOOT
Do this.
1. Go to cwm recovery
2. Clear data and wipe cache
3. Go to advance :- wipe dalvik cache and battery states.
4. Go to mount & storage :- format system, data & cache.. dont format sd.
5. Then mount everything expect sd-ext.
6. Flash kernel.
7. Go to advance reboot recovery.
8. Again wipe data & cache.
9. go to advance and again wipe dalvik cache & battery states.
10. Mount everything expect sd-ext
This time you dont need to format system, data, or cache in mount.
11. Finally flash rom and reboot.
Hope it work.

[Q] Moving from AOSP ROM's to Touchwiz/Stock Samsung Based ROM's.

Hello,
I had a few clarifications on moving from a CM/AOSP ROM to Stock Samsung Based ROM's.
My phone is a N7100 International Version.
I'm running PACman ROM as my daily driver and I'm actually looking to sell off this phone to a friend who is a Touchwiz fan (bleugh!). He would want to keep root however but wants me to install a stock based ROM.
Questions.
1. Does doing a data/cache/dalvik cache wipe and flash the touchwiz based ROM work? Is it that simple? Is the process similar to flashing CM/AOSP ROM's?
2. I read somewhere that there would be modem issues if the above method is used.
Could someone be kind enough to help me out here. I'm using PhilZ recovery.
Before anything else. EFS Backup and Nandroid back up just in case.
1. PhilZ Recovery
2. Wipe Data & Cache - Clean Install a new ROM then Wipe data & Factory reset
3. Mounts and Storage - FORMAT SYSTEM
4. Install your preferred STOCK ROM TW based.
5. Wipe cache
6. Wipe Dalviks
7. Reboot

I tried what you had suggested, did not work. Ended up in a bootloop. Had to flash a stock 4.1.2 firmware through ODIN and then root and finally flashed DN3 ROM through recovery. Now it works.
So you just have to move to stock before going from AOSP to TW based ROM's.

Problems to flash device

Hi Guys, firts thanks for all your job in this forum and sorry my bad english...
I have a S2 sgh-t989 and i like to flash a custom rom but i have several problems to do.
I'm not new to this subject to flash devices, my previous device was a S3 mini and never had problems to flash.
well, I have flashed the custom recovery on my terminal s2 sgh-t989 (custom recovery recovery-twrp-2.8.0.1-hercules.tar)
Also flashed a super user and all fine until now, but when i like flash a custom rom do the following steps:
1.- Copy the custom rom on internal sd card
2.- Wipe dalvik caché, caché, system and preload
3.- I flash the custom rom on this case Carbon rom
4.- Flash the Gapps
5.- Wipe dalvik caché
6.- Reboot system
My device reboot, but after five minutes the boot animations freeze and the device reboot, after appear on my device
"Upgrading apps", at the end says "Finishing start"... My device freeze and reboot and so on...
Somebody tell me What am I doing wrong?
and no only with this rom, I tried with Paranoid rom, and it is the same...
Note that when I flash my backup with TWRP my device is normal as usual.
thanks and i hope you can help me!:laugh:
