Hey fellas,
As you may know Huawei and Honor watches have similar behaviours so this may happen for any Huawei smartwatches also.
My problem is; when my phone receives a whatsapp message, it is shown on my watch as usual. However, when I read it via mobile phone, it does not disappear on my watch, it remains until I manually clear it from my watch. An information which is given at Huawei's website states that "Messages that you have viewed on your phone will be deleted from your watch at the same time.*", which is not the case for me. Huawei Health and watch has latest software. Any suggestions? Thanks.

That is the case for all Huawei/Honor watches. I am just returning W3Pro due to this. I don't like swiping away notifications on 2 devices and I hate not being able to reply. That is not very "smart".
Watching their releases in detail, i saw Watch3 or GT3 could reply to SMS and some selected privacy abusing messengers. But I want clever universal support, like Garmin has. To include any app, especially Signal.

I am a new user and I am sure there are things I will improve upon as a user. But is it just me that the watch and software is inconsistent in taking and executing commands and actions? I have gotten past the numerous connection drops (now only happening once in a while), but I am still not able to do somewhat simple tasks consistently. Its pretty consistent showing emails (I use Aqua Mail on my phone) but text messages are far less consistent (I've tried Google hangouts and now trying Chomp). And its even less consistent when trying to reply (via voice) to text messages. Once in a while it will do all the necessary steps to send a text (I almost cheer when I see the transcription of the message on the watch, then the blue circular progress bar, followed by "Sent!"). But more times than not I just see a progress loop. Doesn't matter where I am physically... I might not have moved an inch and it may work one time then not the next.
Is this a common experience? Would starting over (Factory Reset watch, delete AW and Motorola Connect, reinstall everything) help?
I cam here from a Sony SW2. While its watch faces and UI was no where near as nice as the Moto 360 and AW, but at least it worked consistently at the (limited) things it could do (read email, read text messages). Are all AW watches this inconsistent?
Connectivity between my watch and CM11 (snapshot) on Note 3 was inconsistent.
So I switched back to my Moto X and its perfect.
I think we are missing something in Custom ROMs. May be!
My Moto 360 showed me incoming facebook messages no problem, but I have never once seen one on my Huawei watch. I've tried resyncing the apps, re-pairing the watch, enabling all permissions for all apps involved, everything I can think of. Anyone have this problem and solve it?

Did you get an answer?
I just got an original Huawei watch yesterday (on sale, Amazon), and everything seems to be working as it should be except Facebook Messenger. After much tinkering, I am able to receive messages occasionally (not every one), but my only option to reply is a thumbs up. I can't send out on Messenger at all. Is this just the Huawei watch, or is it an AW 2.0 problem? I really want AW 2.0, but not being able to use messenger is a deal breaker for me. I am thinking of returning the watch, but for what? If the other AW 2.0 watches have the same problem, there's little point. Thanks for any help you can give me.

When I created this post, I was on Wear 1.5. Since 2.0, the problems have been fixed for me. I get notifications no problem.
Swipe up on the thumbs up to get more options. Select voice if you want to reply. Even though it says voice, you will be given the option to use the keyboard to respond as well.
Messenger on Huawei watch
I've just got an original Huawei watch and I'm using it with a Umi Super . Having downloaded the Facebook messenger app, when I open it on the phone I get a message saying "To use messenger, install the app on your phone first".
I already have messenger installed on my phone and no matter how many times I uninstall/reinstall. This is I get.
Has anyone else had this? Or have any ideas how to solve it?
Thanks
Same
I have exactly the same problem
I was on latest AW 2 preview version and then updated to AW2 version via OTA received on watch. The notifications worked for few times and then stopped completely. I tried rebooting the watch, phone (honor 7) but nothing changed. I tried uninstalling and installing the android wear app but still nothing changed. I tried restoring and adding watch again to phone but still nothing happened. I even did clean install of AW 2 (wiping the partition and sideloading the firmware) but still nothing changed. Is it happening for anybody else or does anybody has solution to fix it. I suspect it has something to do with the AW app. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I had that happen yesterday on another watch still on 1.5. It resolved after rebooting my phone (S7e). So it's not just 2.0
Notifications have started to come theough now on my watch. Only thing that I changed was that I gave AW app 'priority display' permission under Notifications
I'm getting gmail and text notifications, but not my exchange email. High priority didn't help me. Even adding my exchange email to the gmail app didn't work.
it is a bug and solved by accident
it is a bug and solved by accident for me, just receive a call while you are connecting your watch to your smartphone and answer using the watch and talk using the watch.
then after closing the line using the watch also, all notifications will appear

Nice to see representation from Huawei.
Ive ordered mine getting it after few days from now, hope everything will be gone smooth without problems..
I no longer get any notifications after upgrading to 2.0. Only the call in comes thru.
Resetting my watch and rebooting my phone did not help either.

Have you tried a different watchface? I'm using WatchR and don't have a problem with notifications. I have the paid version so I'm not sure if the free version will work. I get both a full screen notification as well as a colored circle at the bottom with the number of notifications.

I'm using the stock watch faces - and this coloured circle you mention intrigues me. I miss having the notification at the bottom of the screen to pull up.
My notification are coming through - but I have no way of knowing there's a notification unless I swipe up to check. Is this the same for everyone else? No actual visible notification unless swiping up? I've turned on 'High' notification previews, but that's also not really what I want as I then lose the watch face.

Originally I was quite impressed for Huawei to have a presence here - went to try the chat about my issue with notifications and was told 'ask Google'. Super.
Huawei: Since this is an Android-related issues, please contact the local support for Android Wear, as they are the developers of the software and best equipped to offer you assistance with this.
Me: Who's the local support for Android? You mean Google?
Huawei: Yes.
So... anyone got Sundar Pichai's contact info? lol
The colored dot only shows with special AW 2.0 optimized watch faces and AFAIK, none if the stock HW 1 watch faces.

The biggest problem I have is that they disappear after swiping through them. So say you get a Facebook notification & text. If the text is the second notification & you swipe past Facebook, you don't get to go back. With the previous AW version you could swipe as much as you like until you dismissed them or read them, etc. Bugs the hell out of me with 2.0 when it all disappears.

I'm having the same problem now and then . After restoring a backup , notifications stopped working .
Factory reset on wear and paired again .
resync apps
Clear data for Play services and play services for instant apps
reboot both and It starts working .
Notification
Hi, found this forum and wanted to ask if anyone having the same issue.
mine is lte.. before buying this watch i read online says that all notification from phone will receive without any bluetooth connection, i was interested on it.
eventually i bought the watch and all set up, but found out that the notification sometime receive and sometime not. So i realise the notif will receive when the phone is on then all notification will be received, but when phone is screen off / stand by mode all notification can't receive.
anybody having this issue? maybe there is some setting that has to be set so when you leave the phone all notif can be receive on watch?
and as i can see Huawei is in this forum, it will be great if you can assist on this issue.
thank you.
I've just bought the Huawei Mate 20X - liking it so far, but I want a watch to go with it.
Could anyone advise me if the Galaxy Watch will work ok with it?
I'd want to be able to use Samsung Pay, receive notifications for Gmail, SMS etc, and be able to use some kind of fitness app - don't mind it that was Google Fit, Samsung Health or another really.
Anybody know if I'm likey to face problems? Samsung list some Huawei (and other manufacturers) but the list doesn't seem exhaustive.
Thanks.

I had an Honor 8 and had no problems with a Gear S3. Even though the phone didn't have NFC Samsung Pay did work on the watch. I could receive notifications, email and SMS and Samsung Health now works on non-Samsung phones. You'll have to wait on someone with a Mate but I don't think you'll have any problems.

Thanks very much for your reply.
Did you have to side-load on the Samsung Pay app onto the phone somehow,I'm guessing that the app is needed on the handset?

No, that installed from the Samsung app once i started the Pay setup on the watch.
I'm picking the watch up in the morning, so hopefully, I'll have it all set up by the weekend. Thanks again.
All seems to be good. Watch setup was no problem, Samsung Pay loaded up fine & all cards added. Still have to try making a payment & completing an exercise, but everything seems to be syncing ok with the watch. Notifications all seem to be coming through on the watch.
Long live my dears,
I bought a TCL 10 Pro and I am very disappointed by the fact that chat applications do not send notifications.
Messaging, WhatsApp, Instagram are the applications concerned.
I don't get notified when they send messages to me. Only when I enter the application do I receive the message
I thought it was going to be some kind of energy-saving way, but it's not. I've disabled all modes of economy and it's still the same.
Will it be the new Android 11 update?
How do I solve this problem?
Thank you for your availability.
Hey there. Having the same problem. Had it for weeks now. Bought it only a month ago as well. I'm gonna try a factory reset, but it doesn't guarantee that the issue won't come up again.
FIXED / SOLVED
TCL 10 20 30 40 not receiving push notifications, also ring doorbell
I am using a TCL 10 5G UW
TCL smart manager is bloatware that you cannot uninstall. It kills background tasks, amongst other annoying features. Killing the background tasks of ring will also kill the push notifications of ring. Same with any other application that uses push notifications. It turns your smartphone into a dumb phone. It comes loaded on all TCL phones.
If you try removing the “smart manager” app through ADB. The TCL phone will automatically reinstall it again somehow.
After 2 days of trial and error; this was the best solution that I found. And it works!
It is a fairly complicated solution. You have to copy paste code with your phone hooked up to your computer.
From the Play store search for and install this app.“ccswe app manager (device owner)”
It cost $2.50. I figured what the heck, it’s worth a gamble, and it worked.
Hook your phone up to your computer and follow all of the complicated instructions to get the app manager working properly. Or get your tech savvy friend to help you follow the instructions.
Open the app manager app you just installed, and scroll down to “Smart Manager” near the bottom and tap the box and turn it into a check mark.
Now all my push notifications work like magic, including all ring notifications.
