Unable to Add New Equipment - Help! - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. I'm trying to add a new Sony TV to Equipment, but when I go to "Equipment Control', there is no 'Add Equipment' option. The only options are 'Equipment Control' and 'Manage Equipment'. When I click on 'Manage Equipment', the system goes back to the main Settings screen. Help!

Anyone know how to tie an app to XBMC home screen?

I bought a preloaded FTV so I dont know anything about how these are setup. I tired to search but I cannot find anything as Im sure Im using the wrong wording. Anyway, there is an Internet option on the XBMC home screen that was tied to FF browser. I wanted to change which app that button launches. How can I do that? I have the app already side loaded... Thanks!
I need to find out here the app is so I can assign the ' Default select action '
Depends on the skin, you can customise some skins and change the buttons around. It's under appearance and then skin settings, depends on the skin how it is implemented though.
What skin are you using? What do you want to add to the home screen menu?
ITs Aeon Nox. I did find where the options are to change button name, what shortcut to apply to it etc. Im going to assume that I need to use the Custom option and type in the location of it on the storage where its located. Since it'll be pulling the app from the FireTV side of the AFTv ( Its side loaded... ) The only way I can access it now is by going all the way back to AFTv screen and going to settings and all apps ( or something like that )

If you want a button for firefox in aennox just add firefox to your favorites, then select it from your favorites when setting up the button.
Or if your using Aeon Nox 4, you can add it directly to the Home screen.
Go to System > Appearance > Skin (Settings) > Custumizer (Main menu item customizer)
Then on the Main menu, select the item you want to add as a custom menu item and select it. If if has a red X on it, then select "disable" to enable it, then select "Choose Type".
Now select "Custom" and in the keyboard box type in:
StartAndroidActivity("your.app.apk")
So for example Netflix would be:
StartAndroidActivity("com.netflix.ninja")
You can do this for either the main menu item or for sub-menu items.
Thanks!!!
How do I add Firefox to my favorites
Or how do I find the directory where Firefox is so I can type it in the custom StartAndroidActivity section
Finally got iy. I had to go back into the Confluence ++ skin, add the app to my favorites and then go back into the custom Aeon Nox skin and then add the app from favorites...

How do I change or get rid if AFTV default homepage?

Is there a way to change the AFTv default homepage so that it goes directly to XMBC ?
Why not just google, cauuse you would have found an answer in a half a second? The only real way to do it is to root your device then find the direction on changing the default launcher, but their is a substitute called AFTV Launcher Helper that Basically does the same thing. Just install it and you can pic any app as your default lancher. When you boot up yo Fire TV will strt the app you choose, and when you hit the home button it will go to the app you choose, and you do not need to be rooted.

Can you create folders within Kodi Video Add-ons? To organize many add-ons

Hey guys,
So I have a lot of apps on my firestick in the Kodi media center. Most are in the videos > add-ons section. I wanted to see if there was an app available where you could put the apps in folders to organize them. Children, Movies, Sports, etc..
Trying to find some type of program or feature that lets me do that. I have seen screenshots online of people doing it, but wanted to see if anyone knew anything like that.
Thanks1
There used to be an add on called Super Favorites. Not sure if it's still active but if so it could accomplish this.
Otherwise, you have to use the basic functionality of a kodi skin. For example on aeon mq5/6 you can add an item to your main menu such as Streaming Addons and add all streaming Addons under that category by clicking the left arrow to get to the sub menu. Then repeat for different types you want to categorize by.

Thank you for input!
I downloaded both themes and couldn't find where that was at? I would click over to the sub menu but couldn't see any options to where I could add an item.
I would go within mq6 it runs far smoother. Do customize the menu, when on the home screen of the skin, slide over to settings and click the down arrow, then choose the first option, that lets you edit the menu.
Can't remember what the first option is titled though, something like "customize" somethingorother.
Edit
"Customize main menu"
