Free Wifi Calling is back from Google

Hangouts dialer is added to play store. You'll need to get Hangouts 2.3 from somewhere else in order to use it, or wait until official release.
Tested with Airplane mode and Wifi on, and it works! Free calls!
note: I had issue sending SMS using the new Hangouts with Custom ROM.

hangouts is just laggy for me ever since the update! or maybe i had too many messages stored. :X

This app seems to breaks the phone app. After you install it you then don't have any sound on the phone app when making or receiving calls! This happens after the phone has been on for 2-3 hrs. After a reboot it works for a while, but then it stops again!

My dialer is completely toast. Cant hear any calls and the other party can't hear me. Reboot does not help. So far I've uninstalled the hangouts dialer but that doesnt seem to help.
Can somebody post up the stock 4.4.4 dialer APK so that I can revert? Thanks.

Hangouts Dialer and Snapchat both cause the bug.
In my experience rebooting fixes it.

Sms issues

I have only had my Sprint GNote4 since Friday morning and i love the phone. But, i started having a odd issue today. All of the sudden my phone will not send or receive sms text messages, it just says message failed to send. I am using the stock messaging app, however i also tried hangouts and got the same result. What is even more strange to me is how i get texting to work again. What seems to work is i attempt to make a phone call, it immediately fails, but then on the second attempt the call goes through. ...then my text messages all go through. I apologize if someone has posted this, but i didn't see anything about it when i searched.
Anyone see this issue too or am i just special?

Do you by chance have an airave and live in an area being upgraded? Had that issue where I live. If so, turn off the airave and see if it changes the issue. Sprint has a newer version they will swap out if this turns out to be the problem. Hope this helps.

If you mean the update in the system aettings, yes i did try that. Thanks for replying though.

No, i do not have an airwave, but i do believe i am in an area with Spark, i have the litttle swirling star icon next to my LTE icon. Thanks getting back to me.

Thanks for the tip, i will try it the next time it happens. Im thinking of flashing a custom ROM to see if it is some sort of bloat crap causing it.

Using the phone here in india on a cdma carrier. outgoing sms works fine. Incoming sms dont! Tried to work around a lot. no avail. Ooh and on GSM sms works fine. but on cdma. nothing

I am still having the issue, and I also have found that my phone calls are not coming through all of the time. I am starting to suspect my SIM may be the cause. I am currently using my phone with LTE disabled to see how it goes.

Do you have adblock or another ad blocking app installed? If so remove the app and see if that fixes your issues.

No adblock apps installed. It happens on stock and custom roms too.

Are you using Google Voice? I just identical problem. I realized that when I installed new rom I set voice to intercept sms. I fixed in settings and have been good to go since.

Incoming calls on zenfone 2

Some how I don't know what happen but I can't get incoming calls with my zf2 any suggestions its really bugging me so I'm asking for help my service provider is T-Mobile

Can you text? Can you text yourself? Have you rebooted the phone? What signal strength does the phone have? I have had no problems with mine on T-Mobile. Phone service is mostly a a matter of the Cell Tower recognizing your SIM card. Might need to open a support call with T-Mobile.

I can text call ppl get on the net pic message but no one can call me but I called T-Mobile 5 times and they got the message lol hopefully fixed soon

I am getting a problem with answering calls as well, every time someone rings me and i select answer it hangs up on them,
I can ring out fine and i can receive calls fine on another handset with that sim card.
Any help would be great.

Figured out the issue, it was the antivirus AVL killing all received calls, uninstalled that and its been working fine since.

try last rom

its every one have this problem lollipop 5.0 version !!
u need to update to 5.1 but not yet released !!

I know that I'm replying on over a year old thread, but I'd like to thank you. You helped me to figure out exactly the same issue I was facing. And want to add that you don't have to uninstall the AVL, just disable call blocking feature in its settings. This worked for me.

Duplicated send SMS

I've got the elephone p8000 with eragon and since the last update when i send a SMS to anyone it appears 2 times as sent, but the other person doesn't receive in duplicated, it only appears like I sent it two time the same SMS. Can anyone help me to make it return to normal?

Yes, can second that. Does only happen in stock sms app. Hangouts SMS works as expected.

I'm now on 6.5.1 and still have the duplicate sms bug.
How to fix it?

for me it works. sounds weird but it works
1.settings/sim. turn off sim cards
2. reboot
3. turn them on again (notice. if it says no imei just reboot again)

Cant send/receive text messages

Tried switching to default app. Has nothing to do with apps. Keep receiving
"Networkis unavailable. The message will be sent when the network is available pr pver WiFi if you are subscribed to Integrated Messaging."
I tried doing soft resets, deleting cache/data. Turned on wifi and the message comes up none stop. Turn it off and the message only comes on when i try to send a message. Cant find anything online.
Been rooted on 13B. Verizon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems the service freezes. So to restart it I just placed a call since calls uses the same signal as text messages (regular texts not mms). Once the call went through it restarted the service and i was able to send/receive texts.
