Question I can't find an option to cast to tv - Samsung Galaxy A22 4G

Hello xda members,
I am a samsung a22 4g mobile user and I found that there is no way to cast mobile display to tv (miracast) and chromecast, please help me out
Anyways thanks in advance!!

I didn't see India was covered by this service (If you in another Country, you should check it first). And Samsung was remove a lot built-in apps inside this device. Audio recording, Note and more. We need to download manually from Google Play or Galaxy Store.

casting is working on lineage os gsi on samsung a22 4g mobile

Use "Web Video Caster" app on both the phone and the smart tv, works perfectly, better than a typical or smart view cast function. For one your phone screen can go off while casting to a TV, so no battery drain

No DirecTV streaming

Has anyone been successful in getting the DirecTV app to stream live TV to this tablet? When I use the Direct TV app it does not show me any channels that can be streamed. The tablet is connected to my DirecTV receiver because I can change channels and use other remote controls from the tablet but streaming is not available. Is this tablet just too new and not listed in the DIRECTV system as being compatible with streaming yet?

It's the same with me, everything works but live streaming. It must be an issue with the device being so new, I can stream Live TV via the Directv App just fine on my LG Optimus G Pro.
Edit-I found out why we can't stream live tv on our new Note 10.1's, they don't support streaming on Android tablets yet-
"Please note: On Demand video streaming is currently available on iPad. Coming soon to Android tablets."

There's a difference between on demand streaming and live TV streaming. Take a look at the DirecTV app for Android tablets in the Play Store and the second sentence says "now you can watch live TV in the room with your home." There is a separate app for smartphones and for tablets for DirecTV.
I just got my Galaxy Note 2014 yesterday and haven't tried it yet. I was replacing a old Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 that I got from AT&T, and my old tablet streamed live TV just fine. It also worked fine streaming NFL Sunday Ticket. Just make sure that you installed the Directv Tablet version. I'll repost again once I give it a try.

Irrespective of what their website says, the text within the description of the DirecTV tablet app in the Google Play Store says, without any ambiguity, the tablet apps supports streaming live video. There are plenty of other customers with Android tablets that currently have live TV streaming. Their website is simply not accurate and not up to date.
I can stream live TV through my DirecTV receivers onto my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition.

Here's something I noticed. I have no idea if this means it's an app issue or a directv issue or both but...
I have a rooted galaxy note 2 and a stock note 2014. When I was initially setting up my note 2014, I used the Helium/Carbon backup app to selectively sync certain application from my note 2 to my note 2014. Mind you, this was before I found out directv has mobile phone version and a tablet specific version of the app.
At any rate, when I use the phone version on my tablet it would allow me to stream most channels live. However, when I uninstalled the phone version and installed the tablet version, live streaming become broken for all except 5 channels
My suggestion is to use the phone version on the tablet until directv makes the necessary update on their side allow live streaming on tablets.
Thougth I would provide some new information since it appears much has changed since the last post.
My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 tablet is fully rooted. Both the DirectTV Live TV Streaming app and the GenieGo apps work great. I have the Wifi only version. Anywhere I can get a WifI connection I can watch stream either live or recorded shows.
My Galaxy Lite is a different story. I rooted it in order to change the opening/closing animations and to remove the startup/shutdown sounds. I used Titanuim Backup to "freeze" all the bloatware. GenieGo worked but Live Streaming did not. With Android 4.2.2 and the latest firmware update I am able to "freeze" all the bloatware from within the application manager in Android. I no longer needed Titanium Backup. After restoring a stock ROM and verifying that I could stream live and recorded shows, I started monkeying with the phone to see exactly what "broke" streaming. Turns out with Super SU installed, streaming was broken. Uninstalling Super SU magically allowed streaming to happen. So, I put in place a custom recovery image, booted to recovery mode, used the file explorer (which had root access) to remove the startup/shutdown sounds as well as replacing the startup/shutdown animation. After booting into the phone (which is NOT rooted at this point) I was able to shut off all the bloatware using the built in Android application manager. I now have no startup/shutdown sounds, custom startup/shutdown animations, all the bloatware is disabeled AND all the Directv apps work great, either through Wifi or 4G.
Just thought I would share.

Cast tablet screen to Chromecast?

I have a client who has a new Tab Pro 10.1 and he wants to know how to stream the screen of his tablet to his TV or PC at his office to use for a demonstration and use kind of as a remote whiteboard. He saw someone doing it at a meeting he went to last week, but did not ask how they were doing it. I have searched all around and it looks like he has to be rooted to do it, but it seems unreliable and I don't want to have to fix or set this thing up every time he uses it. I am sure he wont mind rooting his tablet if it means he will be able to stream his screen. I was hoping Chromecast would be able to do it easily, but it looks like that is not a feature yet and it can only be done fairly reliably through Chrome on a computer.
Has anyone done this yet? What do you recommend?
He has a:
Tab Pro 10.1 (stock)
Intel Nuc running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 connected to the TV
Chromecast
Vizio 70" TV
Thanks in advance!

That looks like a wired setup. I should have been clear that it needs to be wireless.
Thank you though!

There is an app preinstalled on the Tab - Sidesync 3.0. Need to install the app on the pc also. I haven't used it but I think it does what you want via wifi.
The tablet support screen mirroring (settings -> connections). Works fine on my sony bravia
You can use Chromecast but it will be slow for that. Instead use Miracast (What Brendo is using). There are many Miracast adapters if your TV doesn't have this capability.
Screen Mirroring Galaxy tab pro 8.4 and Sony bravia TV
The screen mirroring function will work with a Galaxy Tab pro 8.4 and a w605b Bravia TV?
Thank you!

It should. I have a bravia
On my S5 there is an option in the Chromecast app which allows casting. On my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, there is no option. I have tested both my S5 and Tab Pro 8.4 with Chromecast. Individual apps, like Youtube and Netflix cast fine, but the Tab Pro won't give me the option to cast the tablet's screen. If you have a Samsung "Screen Mirroring" compatible smart TV it might work (I don't).
On a side note. . . Although I know your client wants wireless, my old Samsung HDMI adapter for my S3 works with both my S5 and Tab Pro 8.4. The Samsung WI-FI All-Share Cast Hub, Wireless HDMI Display Adapter (can't remember the name) might work if you have that plugged into the video source. I didn't purchase it, so I can't test it.
I just recently bought a Chromecast and Tab Pro 8.4. I've been experimenting the last few days.
Basically, casting to Chromecast is going to be limited to apps with built-in Chromecast support. The only way I was able to do screen mirroring was through my WDTV Live set top box. Like Weo said above, you will need a TV with screen mirroring capability. My friend has a Samsung smart tv that he uses screen mirroring all the time.
Here's a nicely put together FAQ about Chromecast: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563143
I think the only way to do screen mirroring to Chromecast is to root your device and install a hack: http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...experimental-enable-mirroring-device-t2812193

mi max screen mirroring/cast?!

Hello everyone,
I am about to buy a smart TV soon(a Samsung smart led TV model ua48j5200) and it's specs includes screen mirroring but Samsung website mentioned that all devices must be on the same network and that internet connection is required!!!
My question is will I be able to cast/view my mi max screen on such tv ? and why is internet needed for such connection?
Well it states "Mobile to TV - Mirroring, DLNA"
http://www.samsung.com/us/televisio...s-smart-tv-48-class-47-6-diag-un48j5200afxza/
What it Doesn't state is what WiFi module is integrated.
I had a problem with the Mirroring on Sony, it worked but rather whose too slow & unless probably the WiFi 2.4 GHz module on the TV side, so I switched to DLNA casting using Nero Stream app & so far it works.

Razer phone can do casting?

Can the Razer phone cast to Chromecast or Android TV?
Of course it can for movies, music etc not sure about screen mirroring if that's what you mean.
Few apps that work generically in the play store.
Maybe someone with more Android experience will chime in. Looks to be a few tho.

Casting is not device specific but app specific. For example The CW app doesn't support casting, so I can't cast it to my Mi Box with has chrome cast installed in it. But, YouTube app has cast in the app, so I can then connect to my Mi Box with Bluetooth or over my wifi connection to cast the YouTube app to it. I just did this last night with no issues.
Hi were you able to try google home mirroring? Thanks again.
Google Chromecasting works, as well as miracasting. Which is not than the Google Pixel would do.. Answer is yes and supports all forms of casting well.
I was in a restaurant that had chrome cast with their TV. My phone saw it and asked if I would like to cast.
Shoulda thrown up some porn lol
Look in the drop-down notification screen. There is an icon for casting. That means that you can cast your screen or anything on it. It's not app specific.

Chromecast yes, miracast, not on stock (I think you can enable it with root, but not sure)

[Guide] Wireless DEX to TV/Monitor

Hi ya,
I've found that I can use DEX mode on my TV, without connecting my USB/HDMI cable, even though Samsung doesn't allow Screen Mirroring while in DEX mode !!
This guide is for Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 - I presume it also works on the Tab S5e and Tab S6, though, I haven't tested either of those.
Prerequisites
Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 [or Tab S5e/S6??]
TV or Monitor with Android TV built-in, or Android TV box connected, or Google Chromecast connected
WiFi network to which your Tab and TV/Chromecast are connected
App 'Google Home' installed on your Galaxy Tab
At least one functional finger or ability to use S pen
Set-up
If not already done so, sign-in to your Google account in both the 'Google Home' app on your Galaxy Tab; and on your Android TV/Chromecast
If not already done so, in the 'Google Home' app, add your Android TV/Chromecast
Activation
If not already done so, launch DEX mode on your Galaxy Tab
Open the 'Google Home' app from the app draw [or taskbar if it's already running]
Tap on your Android TV/Chromecast device and select 'Cast my screen'
Optional
Connect Wired/Wireless Mouse and/or Keyboard to your Galaxy Tab
On the Galaxy Tab, turn brightness to minimum, or even use a brightness app to set brightness to below minimum
Culmination
Do stuff
Marvel in awe at the ingenuity, and possibilities
Say something nice to someone that you care about
Thanks, I hope you enjoy
Laters
Great find, thanks...:good:
Awesome find...Thank you...it helps alot

No, it's only screen mirroring when using this method
Sad. However, when in dev settings force experimental desktop is checked, I get a wireless Stock-Android Desktop Mode, with lots of lag on the mouse.
But this seems fixable :-o
I guess it's a different story now for the devices with oneui2.5 which got the wireless dex
connect chromecast monitor/tv
connect phone with chromecast
connect keyb/mouse
start dex
enjoy
is that it?
I think it needs miracast not chromecast
