With many android devices users can change the colour temp of the screen to warmer tones in night mode.
I can't find how to do this with the Mi10T.
Is this a missing/hidden feature?
What I want is that at 9PM the screen will go much warmer in tones and go back to normal tones during at 7AM.
Is it possible?

Does anyone know why when I turn off auto brightness, my screen gets so much brighter? Even if I have brightness set as low as it can go, it still seems alot brighter than it should be. Which must kill the battery.
Sent from my R800a using XDA App
If you'd like to compare battery life between the two theres apps for it
But as its been said, better for the battery to have the light a little brighter than constantly be changing.
If you're rooted, Rootdim (search the Market, I can't post links yet) allows you to power down the backlight below the lowest option in Display Settings. It's nice for using the phone in the dark or with a bedside lamp and should minimise battery use if you've got auto-brightness turned off as well.
The only worry is the reviewer on the Market who said its lock option kept the backlight on (at a dim setting) after shutting the screen off on his Droid Bionic but I can't say I've noticed that on my Play.
Thanks, that Rootdim is what I needed.
I tried setting it to MAX, who in the hell needs it that high?! I didn't even know it could go that high, make it a white screen and you've got a flashlight!
I set my watch to use auto brightness. In a dark location, like movie theater or dark room, the auto brightness is not working properly:
- when I receive notification, the watch screen turned on at the full brightness. After about 2 seconds, then it either turn off the screen or the brightness reduced.
- when I wake up the watch manually, same thing happen.
Anyone experiencing this?
I usually see the opposite, where in a dark room, it comes on so dim that I can 't even see it, then brightens after a couple seconds. However, your general point is right on... the auto-brightness definitely needs some improvement.
Hmmm...That's interesting.
Really tick me off when I just woke up and the bright screen blast my eye. I am using the watch with sleep android app, but I think I'll forgo that.
Auto brightness in dark situation for me is terrible. It is even dime than level 1 brightness. I can only see time, but can not read notification clearly. I change to level 1 setting, it is great. And save lots of battery as well.
Moto 360 Brightness
Try the application "smart brightness for moto 360" from the Google play. With this application you can set a minimum brightness and better view in low light environments.
With the minimum set to 20% and auto brightness on you will get better battery life and better experience in dark situation.
I've had the watch since tuesday, but am having a problem with it: when going into ambient, screen visibly dims, but ends up lighting back up... Tried several brightness settings, and it does it with all, except maximum brightness (ie 5).
So basically, when going into ambient, the screen progressively dims, but then brights up and ends up settling at the ambient brightness level it should reach when brightness is set at 5.
Have tried several watch faces, and factory resetting, but it doesn't change a thing.
Anyone experiences that?
Also tried setting brightness with Autowear: only the awake brightness is affected- the ambient brightness always stays the same...
For what is worth, it's particularly obvious with the Dandy default watch face, as it's the same in awake and ambient mode (minus the seconds hand). Set this one up, set brightness at 1, get in a low lit room, and then, I for one see the ambient brightness get dimmer, then get visibly brighter and settle there... Not that obvious in a bright room, but blatant in a dark one.
Also, I realized the watch reports the Android Wear version is 1.3.0.2176821 while it's the latest 1.3.0.2284253 on the phone. Same as, the watch reports the Google Play Services version is 8.1.20 (2283517-534) while it is 8.1.15 (2250156230) on the phone. Don't know if it matters...

That, I already do. But the sun sets long before I go to bed, and lay the watch on the charger. And it's as soon as the sun sets that the watch is much too bright to me in ambient mode...
Hello,
I have an odd question, but first...how my question came about.
I have had my Moto360 for about 5 months now and enjoy it. But, there is that pesky battery life issue. I tried the Ambient screen and I like that because of being able to simply have a clock to see the time. If I get a notification, the watch goes full brightness, vibrates and shows the normal watch face for that. But...for the 10 other hours I'm not looking at my watch it doesn't need to be constantly lit up with Ambient Mode.
So...is there a way to have Tilt to Wake show the ambient clock along with full brightness watch face for notifications? Sort of a hybrid mode of both options. I would guess this would require root to modify a base function of the OS. I currently use Pujie Black for my watchface as well. Appreciate any thoughts!
Before the most recent update this is actually how Ambient mode worked and I missed it. Screen was of until I moved it and then it must lit up to Ambient. It was very nice and I miss that functionality. I really wish there was a way to get it back.
Bump...
Anyone been able to figure this out... Is there a hack that would allow this?
Hello all!
I'm coming here from an exploding Note 7, returned that and have a temporary HTC Desire 530 as a placeholder (it sucks hard). Trying to decide if I want this phone or not. I have one question I haven't seen discussed.
Can you put the phone in silent mode without turning on Do Not Disturb mode? DND mode makes both my Android Wear and my TizenOS smartwatches worthless.
In the phone I have right now when you put the phone in silent it turns on Do Not Disturb mode, meaning my watches get NO notifications. I loved on my last few phones I could have a silent phone, but still get notifications from both the notification light and my watch. In my current phone if you turn off DND mode then it goes into vibrate mode which vibrates extremely loud on my desk at work. My only option has been to get a silent mp3 file for my ringtone and notification sounds. PITA switching sounds when I get home from work every day.
If you can put the phone in silent mode (no vibrate for notifications/ringing, no sound for notifications/ringing) but still get vibration notifications on smart watches and the notification light then I'm sold!
Can anyone shine some light on this for me?
This HTC Desire 530 is sucking my will to live. I need subtle vibration notifications on my wrist throughout the work day on projects/emails/etc with a silent (and not vibrating) phone.
This isn't a limitation of the phone or the phone specific software, this is simply how android marshmallow and up works

Not on the LG G4, LG G5 or Galaxy Note 7. On both those devices I can drop the phones volume down to silent mode and it still:
A) Turns on the notification light
B) Vibrates my Android Wear watch
I have no idea what genius thought they should create a mode that nixes one of the main smart watch selling points baked right into the OS. =(
I want notifications on my wrist without my phone vibrating - why is that such a crazy thing? lol
If anything I should be able to disable Do Not Disturb mode and restore regular normal functional silence mode through a custom ROM or root or something... maybe?
Also you didn't say if this does this for sure. If you set your OP3 into silent mode, can you still allow ALL notifications in this mode? I know the OP3 is supposed to be customizable but I'm not sure to what extent.
