The following is an image of the insides/chips of the SGH-i788, which you might guess by the name is a clone of the i780. This phone was made for release in China, and the interesting thing about it is that most chinese spec sites list it as having quad band GSM, a step up from the regular i780. On the other hand they don't list it as 3G capable.
I have no idea how to decipher the codes of the qualcomm chips but I was hoping someone that could would be able to see exactly what this was capable of. Perhaps this phone will come with an update that could unlock the 850mhz?

The official samsung info page for this phone: http://cn.samsungmobile.com/cn/phone/view/value.jsp?productid=SGH-i788
It seems to have a slightly larger battery (1480mAh) and is missing the front facing camera, along with the ability to connect to 850mhz networks.
We all know Samsung GS6 is capable of aggregating two separate LTE bands, like Band 12 + Band 4. But has anyone ever seen that actually happening using T-Mobile variant?
By dialing *#0011# you get into the Engineering Mode, where you will be able to observe lots of connectivity. you're looking specifically:
CA:NONE = No carrier aggregation
CA:ADDED = secondary carrier added waiting to engage in downloading
CA:ACTIVATED = your download session is in progress and secondary carrier is fully engaged.

Is it true that the US version has more bands available vs the China version? I ordered from everbuying.net, and i am afraid my phone is the Chinese version.
Is there an official site to the US version? I know Aliexpress resellers claim to sell "international version" without Band 7. But The Official Chinese site only got 3 versions and all of them support Band 7...
i also wonder how to identify what version i have
I see in a website (kimovil) that the Chinese and Global RN8pro have different 4G/3G bands suport (B2 and B4), this is true?
Are bands set in hardware or by the ROM?
If I flash a Global ROM in a Chinese RN8pro this will activate the diferent bands?

No. You can't change hardware modem))
On Redmi note 7 I have 4G+, yesterday I was buy Redmi note 8 pro, and I have only 4G..
I know that the difference is small but again..why Xiaomi..
I have EU rom , because I am from Europe and the most band that we use is just that one that we dont have..
I see Qualcomm announced the availability of their X55 chip. Anyone hear anything on when this might get integrated into the Note 10 5G? I suspect ATT is waiting for this for their 5G model once the Verizon exclusive runs out.
Might there be an Exynos variant with the X55?
Or is it more likely that the X99 will be introduced in the S11 first?

are you serious?
Looks like it will be released soon. It does not say if it indeed has the X55 modem or not.
