I recently bought mi 11 lite and realized screen opens when i accidently put my finger on the fingerprint sensor while the phone is in my pocket. I later researched about this and found out that on older versions of miui there was a pocket mode that prevents this but i use miui 12.0.2 and there is no pocket mode. is there another fix for this problem? i dont want my phone to constantly wake while its in my pocket.
Hi, the only workaround I found is to change fingerprint button to trigger on press instead of touch.
don't put your hand in your pocket

Had the same issue.
Constantly woke up my phone and played pocket billiard sending stuff around etc.
For me the solution was scanning another finger, which I usually don't touch the sensor with, putting the phone out of or into my pocket ^^

You shouldn't have turned it on that fast.
Don't turn it on, remove battery asap, put the parts in rice, check back after 2 weeks.

Anyone know if buying this would fix broken/non functional capacitive buttons on the captivate glide? Seems like a simple enough fix, i've honestly only worked on fixing computer my whole life and the occasional ps3 as well. cell phones are something I've never attempted so if anyone could lend a hand that'd be great. I'm sure tearing the phone apart i'd be able to figure out where it goes, i just need to know if that's the right part. would make my wife's day if she could use the buttons again! thanks in advance!

I can't comment if that piece will fix your phone or not, however in the meantime for a workaround::

that actually doesn't work on any of the newer stock ROMs that I've tested on. It was also less than helpful because it leaves a 2 pixel opening for pressing the shutter button on the camera. ha. i can get the nav bar enabled in cm10, but without camera my wife won't let me leave it installed. thanks though!
My brother has this widget/icon on his rooted S III and I'm trying to identify it so that I can eliminate it. It will move from screen to screen, and when you touch it it powers the phone off. Anyone have any idea what it is or how to get it off the screen?

This may sound stupid but have you tried long pressing on it and then dragging it into the garbage bin?

I haven't physically seen it or been able to play with it myself, but he said that whenever he touched it that it would power off the machine. And, to be frank, it is one of those cases where the phone has become smarter than the owner, so trying to diagnose this remotely has been a challenge. LOL But I think my nephew figured it out as some kind of power app that he'd installed.
Hey guys, so I recently have a problem with my Mi Max 3 and that is there are vertical lines appearing on the screen. Long story short, it fell off my bed when I was sleeping. I found the phone beside the floor of my bed, the screen was facing the floor. Everything seems functional. But for some reason, when I press the “middle” of the screen or lock the screen (press the power button) the vertical lines almost disappear. Now I have researched the problem but I’m not sure. My question is, is something loose or broken? Or something else, comment down below, any kind of help is appreciated

Either the display cable popped off the board or the display ribbon tore off the display. One is fixable without parts the other needs a new LCD.

It might be to late now as you have already been charging the phone and turning it on. But if this ever happens leave the phone off until you have opened the phone up and checked to make sure there is no water inside.
Rice wont do anything and is a ****ty advice that will only give the water more time to do damage. Best thing to do is to get rid of the water inside as quick as possible!
If you do decide to open it up make sure to be careful with the battery as it can catch on fire(small explosion) if you accidentally damage it. So either watch some videos if you never done something like this before or get someone with experience to help you. Good luck.
