Samsung m30 has a descent camera quality. The Samsung optimisation of the camera is awesome.
But until you root that device
After rooting the camera quaity drops to hell.
How we can get that quality back? or improve more ?

It has been several months since I was keeping tabs on S4 development. What is the current state of photo quality on nonTouchWiz roms? Last time I checked (around October), the original TW rom had upperhand, producing higher quality photo and more features in the camera app (notably: instant HDR).
How is it nowadays?
i still think stock rom has better quality and on cm10.2 when you are recording video through front camera it records in a weird aspect (everything looks squashed)
Subjective. With my test I see better quality photo that is not under sunlight (indoor, night, etc). And well, I don't care about daytime photo, since any decent enough phone can take acceptable photo. At least that on my Slimrom.
And this App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almalence.opencam beats the default photo app by TW or Slimrom. And that applies both on my S3 and S4 mini.

hi, you can try Camera ZoomFx i guess this camera get better photos than stock one and you can use it on any custom rom!
Is the Oneplus 3's camera selfie friendly? does it take decent quality selfies? when rooting the OP3 is there any quality downgrade in the camera like on Sony Xperia devices can someone let me know?
The front camera is 8mp. Static focus. It works fine for selfies. There is no loss in camera quality after unlocking bootloader and rooting.
Hi, I do get lots of blurry photoes if I just move the camera a bit. I keep my hands as stable as possible for the tine till the picture is snaped, but the photo is still sometimes blurry. It is easiest to see this when I take picture of book or something, where is text. Why samsung doesn't include EIS at least?
Thank you.
EIS cannot be used for pictures, and OIS is not available in the A-series. This phone has an inferior camera, you should have known it. But it does have other great features.

Hard to know camera was bad , I to had read many reviews say "What a good camera it had ??? '
Hi guys,
I'm thinking of buying one of those two phones.
The main feature of a phone for me is the camera, and I was wondering if you have any verdict on which has a better camera, and if the quality difference (of the cameras) between those phones noticeable.
Thanks!
The s9+ have a much better camera. But no widescreen altough the wide screen camera of the A70 is not more then ok.

There's nothing much to talk about a70 cameras. I am not satisfied with camera clarity and performance for such high price.

It's not a high priced phone at all. The A70 is £369, whereas the high-spec/high-priced range would be things like the S10+ at £899.

Try the gcam mod. It makes a great improvement on phones from Xiaomi. I hope it works on A70.
I have just acquired a Galaxy A50 which is waiting for a new battery and, reading around, most people complain of the stock camera app. I found references to the 'footej Camera' app when looking for alternatives, has anyone experienced using this on the A50? Any suggestions would be helpfull.
My main phone is the Galaxy S8+ but the A50 is handy for use when working due to being a dual sim.
Unfortunately there's no better camera than the stock one, and there won't ever be. Since Camera2 API support is limited, no other app will take "better" photos or have additional features. At most they will be the same as good as the ones taken with the stock app.
Every GCam port has Night mode and Portrait not working. And those apps that allow you to record 4k video or 60fps, don't work well either: video lacks detail (the resolution bump has little to no effect), has no stabilization and the frame rate varies constantly with the amount of light available, almost never achieving 60 fps.
Recommendation: use the stock camera. It's not bad once you get over the idea that this phone has NOT a great camera (hardware+software processing) to begin with.
Thanks for the reply, shame about the camera quality but at least it's going to be used as a second phone.
