So i was in the same situation with the guy who posted this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/internal-storage.4149929/#post-83326589 where twrp displays "E : Primary block device '/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata' for mount point '/data/' is not present." After doing loads of research I paused for like 2 months, after that I tried to connect it to my pc but it doesn't detect the phone, the screen is black and the notification light is blinking.
I tried charging it overnight - no luck ( even when charging the notification light is blinking)
I also tried pressing the buttons simultaneously - still no luck
update: so i managed to put it on edl mode fand flashed using miflash but instead of "clean all", "clean all and lock" was chosen. Now it connects and disconnects like hell!
please help meee.

What do i do if phone won't turn on ^_^. It was turning on... but then shutting off mysteriosuly during boot... and during cwm... but now.. even after a battery pull.. and also plugged in... no power...will go to the phone?
What makes no sense was that it working fine.. till I edited an eri.xml file.... all I did was place it into /sdcard and /data .
- Can't get into bootloader
- Can't get into download mode
- Won't even show "charging" screen
- When I plug it into a computer, it does the OMAP4440 disconnect, reconnect shindig.
- Tried different batteries
After like 2 hours of research teh OMAP4440 is somehow related to the black screen of death... I mean just look at this:
device manager "omap4440"
I have no idea what to do............................ ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
I was just about to post that I'm in a similar situation.
I plugged mine in yesterday to charge it up and when I went back to check the phone was dead no life at all.

IDK if this helps or not
did you get you phone fixed i have the same exact problem and wondering if there is a fix for it
Mine is having similar issues, the led indicator is lighting and it's making noise but no screen lighting at all. I tried hard reboot. Everybody keeps prompting me to use command mode by pressing home, volume up and power button.,the trouble is my phone doesn't light up so I can't see the commands. I sent my first s7 edge back and I'm on the replacement and now it bricked

This particular forum is for a different galaxy phone than s7, but I do hope you solve the problem
Hello,
For couple of days i am searching for solution, but didn't found anything which will help me to solve my problem.
This is my problem:
Recently i got HTC Wildfire S phone which i think is soft bricked, don't know. Motherboard looks good, all connectors are great.
When i press Power Button, phone just vibrates (one time) and little sensor red dot appears for few seconds, after 2 minutes, it vibrates once again for fraction of second, and nothing shows up.
When i connect charger, little orange light in right corner of speaker appears. I left the phone for full night on charger, but in the morning i got just green light.
There is no any lights on display, i can't enter to fastboot (volume down + power button).
But when i press volume down and power button, the little red dot sensor shine and i can connect phone with usb to pc.
When i connect phone to PC via USB, PC installed drivers and said "device is ready to use".
I also installed the tool "minimal fastboot and adb" and all possible android sdk files..ect...
When i enter to command prompt and type fastboot devices i get some number. S1152563737 (This is random number but it looks like this one, it begins with "S"). Any other fastboot command typed in will just show message failed with message in brackets (1 bytes).
All tutorials, tips and information from forums say press volume down + power button , but i got what i already explaind just little red sensor shining.
Summary:
Phone vibrates one time when i press power button
With vibration, little red sensor shining, after that (2 minutes) phone vibrates one more time but this time just for fraction of second AND red sensor turns off.
Can't enter to phone fastboot volume down + power
Nothing showing at display (just black without lights)
I can connect Phone to PC
PC recognizes Phone, installS drivers
P.S
I tried something with PG7610000_Marvel_hboot_1.09.0099_2.13.401.3_0210_R and i found out this information about my phone
IMG VERSION: 1.34.110.3
If you know something about this, and you think you can help me, please leave reply.
Thank you
EDIT: I have 4 batteries, when i put other battery, press power button, red sensor blinks for 2-4 times (not light in speaker).
Please have in mind and you probably know that i am talking about two different LIGHTS, red sensor light and upper charging light.
Also for one time i managed to get lights in down touchscreen options, and it seemed that phone works but not sending anything on display. Light also fade in and out when i pressed power button. That happened for one time only.
I gived a lot of information, i hope it's not confusing..
Been running for days clean flashed Ressurection Remix Rom on its kernel, and upon updating apps on Playstore i pressed home while on Playstore's apps interface (it was actually the last in the list for update - Youtube). Upon pressing home, nothing happened, and the phone froze. After ~30 seconds it rebooted, and stopped at SONY logo. After several times of battery removals, it started to boot, got to "Optimizing apps (Youtube)" and turned itself off.
Tried to turn it on, it started, haptic feedback present, LED lights changed several times, and it stopped again at SONY logo. I tried to reboot it manualy, but it wouldnt work. I removed the battery again, and after that, no LED lights, no SONY logo on boot, except the haptic feedback which is present after trying to power on the phone.
When i try to connect it to my computer via USB, the LED turns red, and it stays that way. Again, nothing works except the haptic feedback.
Ive tried then to keep it connected to the computer via USB, and press vol+ and vol-, and got green LED light, but with no other obvious information.
I didnt mention that computer, ofcourse, doesnt recognize the phone.
Also, whatever LED light it shows in some of the mentioned states (red or green), its always present, even upon removing the USB or pressing any buttons, until i remove the battery.
The phone was about ~75% full after it went bananas, and with latest TWRP.
Could anyone help on this matter?
Thanks.

No, and i dont have the possibility to order it from amazon. :/
My phone has suddenly died today. Unsure how much battery it had when it happened, no issues before.
I lookedat my phone and it appeared to be off but I noticed a notification light flashing. Power button didnt turn the screen on, no volume or softkey interaction either. green LED still flashing (I had just not long before had a message on whatsapp so maybe it was from this).
Whatsapp web shows phone as offline, google shows phone as offline.
Connect it to USB and the laptop notices a device as I get the noise, but doesnt show as a drive in the laptop
connect it to power, nothing comes on the screen.
Call it and it doesnt ring (noise wise or screen)
Cannot reset - power button feels soft (not clicky)
Light still flashes.....
Really stuck any help appreciated.

Could it be possible you have a power button hardware failure. Try this : keep volume down pressed. If the phone reboots the power button is pressed too without you touching it.

I did think that the power button may have failed, but noting that the notification light is on, that then suggests the phone is in a powered on state - if that is the case should it not respond to an inbound call, any of the soft buttons at the bottom etc?
Just tried holding volume down for 15 seconds, nothing.....
Was hoping to get the phone to completely power down of its own accord but I dont recall if it had 3% or 70% and dont know how long a blinking LED will keep it going for!
my daily driver LG G3 just self bricked
phone was left on in airplane mode when leaving work, when came home I left it in airplane mode
before going to bed I looked at eBay but in the middle of using phone the screen slowly faded and went black without any low battery warnings. Thinking the battery was low I plugged in phone to charge, red light indicated phone was charging.
The next morning light shows solid green, full charge
pressed power on button, instead of booting the screen lit up showing that phone is already turned on
yahoo mail app showed something like allow access to your contacts I clicked no
Android system briefly shows a message 'uh-oh, something went wrong'
screen fades to black, pressing power button will not bring it back
pulled the battery
now on power on LG then T-Mobile logo shows, but after that just black screen
green notification button blinks twice.
pressing power button, plug and unplug usb power does nothing.
plugging phone to linux PC it shows LG phone but when mounted usb folder shows nothing inside (usb debugging not turned on, phone is stock not rooted).
