Hey looks like all weapons are available for OnePlus 9 pro(root, magisk, Twrp), I have a T-Mobile version but converted to EU, Only step I cannot do on my phone is to flash modem after OTA, just wondering can we do that via Twrp/without laptop?
Why are you trying to flash the modem?

For conversation from t mobile to EU, you need to flash modem after OTA otherwise you will not get service
Flashing the modem is necessary to regain data since EU uses an incompatible modem that does not work with TMO.
Regarding flashing the modem, it could be done but as TWRP is kind of buggy, I don't think this is a good idea. It only really accepts .img and .zip files anyway. So to answer your question, no.
EDIT: I take that back, you could use the terminal and just dd the modem.bin to the modem partition.

Ah nice, can you elaborate how to do it via terminal?
It probably goes something like this:
dd if=/sdcard/Download/modem.bin of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/modem
Not sure about T-Mobile but when flashing EU firmware for the Global/US model there is no need to do anything but flash the firmware itself. I'm running BA and have not flashed the modem. The same applies for my 7 Pro when I ran EU firmware.
Have you actually tried to get service?

T-Mobile has a different baseband, and thus is needed. Your 2125 does not have the same issue so you don't need to. Why would you think people haven't tried to get service w/o a modem flash??
I've done 2 OTA updates on my Tmobile 9 pro that is running the EU firmware and have not had to flash the modem.

Did you use the msm tool that doesn't require an unlocked bootloader? If you used this conversion method then you absolutely need to flash modem. It says so right in the op of the TMobile msm to EU thread. Also I've updated twice after using that method and absolutely had to flash TMobile modem to a and b partitions in order to have data.
Was wondering if we could get a flash able zip for this as well. Would make life so much easier then I won't need a computer to flash my roms anymore lbs
Just follow my guide

Is the "Mobile hotspot" and "data" on the Notification panel (when you swipe your finger from the top of the phone) ???
Or is it the same as the Tmobile version, Mobile hotspot is on a separate app in the app drawer, and mobile data can only be accessed under settings menu?
Thanks

everything seemed to work, but after flashing the Modem.bin And NON-HLOS.bin I no longer have any sound. Anyone else having a similar issue? I think it was really the non-hlos.bin that screwed things up. Any way to undo what it did? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The nonhlos.bin version must match the bootloader version. For example, if you have the NB7 bootloader, you need to have the NB7 nonhlos.bin. Flash the proper nonhlos.bin.

Thanks for the reply. How can I find out what bootloader I have? I pretty much had rooted my MetroPCS S4 shortly after I bought it back in July of 2013. It was still using Jelly bean 4.2.2. with older firmware M919NUVUAMF2. I hope that info helps. Would I need to find a different nonhlos.bin file or update/upgrade my bootloader? I'm really SOL right now cuz I can't make phone calls. At least I can still recieve texts. Thanks again for any help?

July of 2013 means your warranty is up so tripping knox would be no issue. I'd completely update with the firmware then you can not worry about stupid mix match problems

AP. Uncheck auto reboot, flash it, when done pull battery, back to download mode and flash it again and reboot. Just to be 100. Sometimes bootloader and/or modems have a issue writing to the device.

Edit: Looks like you're flashing the firmware...good choice.
If you've never flashed a different firmware then you would need the nonhlos.bin from the MF2 firmware. You can find that firmware at this link, under firmware...
http://androidforums.com/metropcs-g...cial-metropcs-s4-root-information-thread.html
Alternately you could just flash the new NI3 firmware like shiny suggested. It would be easier altogether. Your manufacturer warranty has expired so updating the bootloader is no longer an issue.

The firmware? No. Mobile odin doesn't flash bootloaders.
Modems should be able to yet I've never used it
On GSam Battery Monitor's phone signal graph, I noticed fluctuating signal graph. I work in city core and signal is always in good 65-72 dbm range.
There is certainly no reason for the phone to have signal problems. Worse is that signal problem causes battery drain.
Fix is rather simple. Update firmware or modem (NON-HLOS.bin.) Though I flashed entire firmware, updating modem alone should do it.
To update, follow [GUIDE] How to manually upgrade firmware posted by @Presterin .
However, note that I used 26S firmware as 23S firmware is the one that gave me the problem.
In the picture, those crazy fluctuation is when I was on 23S radio and right after I I flashed 26s one, it is nice and stable as you can see.
EDIT: Do not flash system.img and boot.img if you want to keep your current rom as it is. Obviously, do not format Data neither.
How about US devices on American carriers? What modem is good for them?

You will need to find latest stock rom which contains firmware and flash it. As for which modem works best, I do not know. I suggest you compare them using GSam Battery Monitor.

Can you please upload NON-HLOS.bin alone for 26S somewhere, so we dont have to download the whole rom?
Thank you
I've uploaded all of the 26s firmware files this morning, just extracted from the official ROM. Follow the link below

The zip is NOT flashable, its just an archive of all FW files.
Can we flash 26s files over PA 7.3.1? Or only over the Chinese EUI?
The whole package? or just the NON-HLOS.bin?

Hello, if anyone is on the latest rooted T-Mobile firmware, could you please pull the modem_a/modem_b and modemst1/modemst2 img files and upload them please? I'm converted and I'm using the 11.2.5.5 T-Mobile modem. I wanna see if there's any noticeable difference in coverage/speed with 11.2.5.5 vs latest T-Mobile firmware modems. Thanks in advance.

what exactly do u mean? What I do is everytime T-mobile updates, I get new modem and flash on Global... I'll be doing so for every update, where I provide zips and images in thread shared above.
Awesome thread. Thanks for chiming in on this. I thought I was in the wrong by posting this cause of your thread but to clarify what I meant was: the latest T-Mobile firmware is 11.2.4.4. My backup from before I converted was based off of 2.2 or 2.3 I believe. If someone had a firmware newer than 3.3, I was wondering if it was better or the same. Sorry for any confusion.
I guess I could always pull the modem files from a t-mobile ota but I don't think there's any full zips floating around since t-mobile is technically AA, AA otas are pushed from Google's servers and they're only incremental. Not sure if incrementals have the modem files or not.

Here is the link to the T-Mobile 11.2.5.5 firmware modem images if anyone is interested.
Modem_a/_b are fastboot flashable.
Fastboot flash modem_a modem_a.img
Fastboot flash modem_b modem_b.img
Fastboot reboot
These can also be replaced in payload.bin firmware fastboot roms. Just extract via payload dumper, place these modem files into the rom, then fastboot flashall in fastbootd.
DO NOT FLASH modemst1 or modemst2.
Thanks @craznazn. Will delete files from folder so the modem_a and modem_b are the only two files in there. Also, these are the modems from the Pro variant. OOS 11.2.5.5. T-Mobile firmware.
Edit: files removed.

You need to root and install the data retention magisk module to set the SIM card to single SIM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/data_retain-zip.5516927/
So I have a OnePlus 9 Pro 5g T-Mobile (USA) and I was able to successfully put in the official Global Android 11 build in it (11.2.10.10.LE15AA).
I had cell and data service when I using the global android 11 build, however when I upgrade the phone to android 12 I lose all service, both data and cell service (sim card is not even being detected, there are 2 empty sim slots showing in the notification bar).
What do I do next? Is there a step by step guide? I saw many posts scattered across different threads trying to resolve this issue, but it was very hard to follow.
Note: I have backed up my original T-Mobile MODEMST1/2 AND PERSIST PARTITION images before I changed my ROM.
I have tried the following method, which resulted in a brick.
Method 1 (DOES NOT WORK-BRICK)
1. Tried to convert to the EU MSM but it didnt work.
2. converted my phone to India MSM and it worked
3. Under the India MSM i did a local upgrade to the Global Android 11 build in it (11.2.10.10.LE15AA).
4. flashed the t-mobile modem
fastboot flash modem_a NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash modem_b NON-HLOS.bin
5. Brick
Before jumping to Android 12 you needed to flash the data retention zip. That'll tell the system you are on 1 sim and not 2.

Based on the instruction, it said it was a root only fix. I may be wrong, but thats what i remembered.
I would highly recommend simply updating as far as you can via T-Mobile, flashing C.62 EU firmware via https://www.mediafire.com/folder/sxdpvifk83q9g/OnePlus_Firmware_Updates#p36biy56icbc4 and then installing your custom ROM.

when you say flashing, are you talking about using MSM?

No, updating it all the way through to the latest firmware. If you have a T-Mobile version I recommend flashing the data retention zip.. I've had zero luck converting over to a custom Rom and Global without it. I'm currently running Pixel Experience at the moment with spark kernel.

Let me get his straight. Are you that I should:
step 1: go back to TMobile stock rom
Step 2: update the T-Mobile stock rom as much as you can
Step 3: flash the data retention with root (magisk is the best way)
Step 4: flash c.62 EU firmware. How do you do this? With msm?

Go back to stock T-Mobile firmware and update it all the way to the latest firmware which is C.62, flash the data retention zip through magisk and then you can go ahead with a custom Rom of your choice.

In that case do the stock T-Mobile firmware, update your phone to 11.2.10.10 (I believe is the last update before A12) flash the Data retention zip, download Oxygen Updater application and download then install the Global version from there.

In that case you need the Tmo-EU msm and then find the 11.2.9.9AA ROM to install through the updater.
