Had the same issue,call recording was mandatory for my job. So i went with the rom and so far is great, even more futures as it's based on miui 12.5 and call recording integrated in the system ,not third party apps

Yes. Xiaomi.eu is based on China rom

Not going to interfere with OTAs. It's just a few scripts. Backup your system partition or you can always reflash your ROM over it.

Can you post a screenshot about "always on..." settings?
Can confirm it works, just uncheck that option in developer settings, always on persist even if it doesn't show other than 10 seconds option.
EDIT: some features don't work anymore without miui optimization, 3 fingers screenshot for example.

AOD is for 10 sec in global rom too.
10 seconds on the global rom.
I would like another solution other than deactivating the option in the developper settings because it causes problems and bugs even after reactivating it

Question I was running C62 but had a problem with the message app. Couldn't download pictures. Oh I'm om Verizon also anyway does anyone know if they got the problem fixed in C63 with downloading pics? on the messaging app. I also tried almost all messaging apps in the play store.

From personal experience, it seems to me that the proximity sensor gives 40 percent better results.

This applies to MIUI, I am using xiaomi.eu rom based on android 13 that option is available.

Does disabling proximity sensor atleast solve the problem of annoying touches during calls or black screen during incoming calls for you?

No, MIUI 14 did not bring anything new in terms of the proximity sensor. And I don't think there will be any further progress. What I know for sure is that this is probably my last Xiaomi.
