Firestick TV Lite Stuck on animated boot logo please help! - Fire TV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi hoping someone knows what to do im so confused and have been at this for days now...
I logged into YouTube and next time my firestick turned on it didn't get past logo and hasn't ever since. I have tried new plugs, cables, TVs, HDMI ports with and without HDMI extender and have had no luck. So i ordered a OTG cable and tried like 10 times the "CTRL+ALT+MENU+PRNT SCREEN+I" solution and never worked even tried to connect via ADB but no luck either. I saw a reddit post about on how to unlock the bootloader or something im not to clued up on all this. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Some of these new lite devices do this I'm afraid. I've had several of them.
Make sure youre not powering it from a TV usb port or low power brick as this can cause them to boot loop.
Sadly, If you've tried everything but it's stuck on the boot screen and you're unable to force a factory reset then there's not much else to do.

Hi I was having exactly the same problem and it was really starting to annoy me, anyways I'm on a stock t-mobile UK phone and an update called 1.110.84 came out which seemed to fix the problem completely. If your having this problem its probably your software build so even though I've never done it myself I would suggest flashing a new Rom or something, hope this helps.

[Q] Connecting to PC help!

OK I have searched extensively for the last 3 days and have come up fruitless with a working solution. While I have found countless threads (even on here) none of the solutions offered seemed to work for me. So please no flaming When I plug my OG Evo into a USB cable to a computer all that happens is it starts charging. the phone never asks what I want to do. the PC never sees it and the phone does not recognized that it's plugged in. Here are some of the things I have done so you guys don't tell me to search again.
Please note this is an unrooted 2.3 Evo
Rebooted, pulled batteries.
Wiped completely. This includes cache.
Turned "ask me" on and off in the settings
Changed USB cables (6 different ones)
changed PC's (5 Different ones, with 3 different OS's)
Updated just about everything (Including my girlfriend, LOL)
Force stopped PC sync and rebooted.
I am not running any PC sync programs at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

has it ever worked properly? maybe its a problem with the drivers?
Well that is difficult to answer. it has never worked with this phone but other phones have worked in the past (My 6th replacement from Sprint), but no phone has been connected to my new win 7 laptop or the other PC's I tried it on. I wish I had my old PC to test connectivity but I do not. The Phone charges on every PC I Plug it into, and I tried it with multiple cables just in case it was my cable that went bad.
well i would try to update the drivers. or delete them if that doesnt work and re-install. what OS are you using on your pc? does it say 'the usb device is not recognized'? oh you also want to make sure that you have the adb drivers installed. thats probably the problem.
OK the PC never sees the phone. I do not even get "Device not recognized". Nothing happens at all except that the phone just starts charging. I think it may be a hardware issue I am having. I just hate the prospect of having to bring my phone back to Sprint.
I was having the exact same problem which was keeping me from rooting. I finally got my computer to recognize my evo by connecting it via usb and entering boot menu. I began selecting hboot and fastboot and my computer "saw" my evo. No problems since that point and now I'm rooted and stoked
Thanks for the Tip, I just tried it. Nothing still cant see my phone. Even HBoot USB didn't work. Thanks for the tip though. It's appreciated!
do you have usb debugging turned on?

Phone isn't recognised by computer nor is my USB C stick

Hello,
I hope someone can help. I am trying to get my computer to recognise my phone. I am not rooted and I have Marshmellow 6.0.1
I unlocked developer options. I bought a cable and it worked! The computer saw my phone. However it stopped seeing my phone. Why I don't know! But when it did work I saw the driver was not for the 5x but from my S4. Well since it's not working I ordered the recommended USB cables by Benson Leung Tech Matte. Still unable to see my phone. Tried cables on another computer with same results. The computer I tried it on recognised my phone and then it also stopped seeing my phone.
I also bought a usb c stick to use on my phone. My phone responds to the stick but when I choose for MTP from charging nothing happens and i cannot access the USB Stick. In Dev options MTP is selected. I also noticed that USB tethering is not available. I have no clue what to try next.

USB debugging needs to be selected. Also, you need to toggle to PTP and back to MTP
Install correct drivers onto your pc

Thanks for the drivers. USB Debugging is on. When I toggled Charging popped up instead of PTP and so I kept toggling and it finally went to PTP and so I toggled MTP and it goes back to charging! So I kept at it until it finally went to MTP. Is this normal? I counted 12 tries before changing from charging to PTP! But the computer doesn't see the phone. I did it a few times

i honestly never thought about this, is this even supposed to work without some kind of an OTG adapter. i mean sure, the plugs fit, put do the pins match/work for that configuration?
from how you describe that your phone reacts i would guess it doesn't, and it sounds more like your phone goes into client, as opposed to host mode.
very interested to see what someone with more knowledge of the matter would have to say about plugging a usb-c memory stick directly into your phone.

I can read/write to a sandisk USB memory stick using the proper adapter and using USB OTG file manager for Nexus from the play store.

I've used several phones on my PC and at first it had a little trouble but finally settled in. Kind of like a new ROM. You have to give it a while to settle in and get its groove on.

not really a surprise there, but what OP described was putting a usb-C stick directly into the phone, without any cables or adapters in between, with the question emerging if that is even supposed to work (which in his case didn't) due to possible problems of the pin-layout, etc.

that does not explain his PC suddenly not recognizing his phone anymore though.
at this point it sounds to me like either there still is a driver issue (e.g. the mentioned S4 driver wan't properly uninstalled), or one of the usb ports (phone or pc) has an issue.
try different ports on your PC and make sure other devices work with the ports. if not try if you can get it to work by applying a little pressure in different directions to the cable and listen out for windows' annoying usb sound.
on the other end make sure your phone really is connected correctly to the cable. it should snap in just like the OEM charging cable which took some time getting used to to overcome the resistence of the usb-c port.

Thanks again for your quick reply,
I tried my Samsung Tab II tablet and my old S4 on my PC and they both work as advertised. Recognised right away and I hadn't used my tablet to my PC before. What I think is maybe its the USB on the phone itself?

I think its the phone itself, since it did work briefly. Also with the USB C thumb drive the phone recognises it but will not read the thumb drive. I ordered it from play store I wonder how getting it repaired/looked at is going work Have to wait until Monday to call!
Hello again,
I Hope you guys like some feedback about my issue. Contacted Google and they asked me just about all the same questions and had me do some screen shots and try some of their ideas such as factory reset, trying other computers and other cables. Nothing worked so they sent me a new phone! Just got it yesterday. Would have been here sooner but I was busy!
So got new phone setup and the computer recognizes my phone on PTP but not MTP. Also my driver for the phone is a generic nexus and the it still shows up as a samsung! How can I get the new driver if when i do a search for new driver my computer says I have the best driver already installed? I don't want the driver to still be a problem. So i hope you guys have some answers. Lol! I know you guys do!!

AFTV2 New Out of Box Unable to get past update screen

Ok, did a search and all posts are very old. AFTVnews guides do not work. Has anyone recently been able to get past/bypass the check for updates? The method I tried was via ethernet. Note I do have all 3 Amazon sites blocked via router and Opendns. I pulled cable after configuring ethernet connections. Then, stuck unable to updater your Amazon Fire TV. Tried many times and cannot get past this screen to registeration. I bricked my last FTV 1 at this step. Please help!

Have you tried unplugging the dsl lead or cable lead from your router?
So the Fire tv is still connected but you are not getting a connection to Internet.
The last time I reset my Fire tv 4k I didn't do this and cant remember which way I did it but it wasn't the way it is described on AFTVNEWS, I meant to put a guide up for other but forgot and now can't remember how I did it. Im quite sure when it first says it needs an update it will first download it so anytime while it says it's downloading should be fine, its when it is applying the update it will be harmful but I'm far from sure.

SconnyUK thanks for the response. I tried disconnecting ethernet cable from cable modem to router with ethernet cable plugged into aftv2. Same results. Did you happen to to do this wireless?

Have you tried without blocking on your router as this guy did :
Tony says:

Initially I struggled getting to registration screen…until I removed all blocked domains except the 2 required ones mentioned above in router and openDNS.
Ste 9 did not happen. It jumped from step 8to10. When first connecting ethernet, it said checking ethenet connection, and ethernet connection made, and jumped to checking updates, then I unplugged ethernet and waited. After many attempts it finally got to registration screen.
Hi had this same problem, only way to get past it was to unblock the sites and allow the check to happen. Once it got past that and get to home screen then unplug the cable or turn off wifi. The update does not actually happen during the check. It has to download.
Then reblock the websites and complete your root steps before you restart the device and all should be well.

I have not unblocked yet, but after connected thru ethernet it goes to downloading update. I know this is rootable, do not want loose root possibility. Any addtional thoughts?
Not sure what you mean, but try hitting the home button see if you can get to home screen. If so then unplug cable and follow root procedures. If not you need to do as I said above outs the only way you will get past that screen. It will not go any further until it can check update status.

Android TV stuck on black bootloader

I was trying to root a Hisense Android TV with 8.0, however, when I ran adb reboot bootloader, the TV is now stuck on a black screen and won't show on fast boot or adb devices.
Any ideas?
Tried connecting through USB (the TV only has two USB ports, and a mini jack service port). I was using a USB-A to USB-C cable for it, however, I never got it to work. I only got ADB through networking.
I have tried connecting through Ethernet.

I've never done this before on a TV but, I believe that the following thread may be your best bet in obtaining some member guidance within it for your specific TV.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3150281
There's conversations within that thread regarding the Hisense TV's and seems to be fairly active as well.
Good Luck!
